- Harrisburg, PA Box 1-4 2400 Block of Berryhill Street for a fire in the basement. Squad 8, Wagon 4 & Tower 1 arrived with in seconds of each other. Tower 1 rider softens the rear of the building while members stretched a line into the basement and conducted searches. Incident was held to 2&2.
Nice job giving the fire the extra air that it was looking for!
Y'all coordinated and communicated - exceptional - the fire went out and everyone went home. Everyone moving with a purpose that's been well rehearsed - superb. Push down the stairs on a basement fire in snow and ice - yeah, things I no longer miss about firefighting north of the Mason-Dixon. Chief B not over-managing the fire (it sounded like him, if not kudos to the BC catching the run) - fantastic. Look for and communicate about best access to the fire instead of front-door tunnel vision - massive in collective effort saved and a stop on the fire. The rest are style points and we can all learn some things by playing this back training night. Watched your other videos - flaking hose on the floor below, opening up in coordination with the line, hit the fire floor and remember to work up, doing that search - awesome work. Thanks for sharing and allowing us to learn.
Excellent job getting to the Charlie side of the structure and gettin a door open on division 1 and getting a report back in a timely manner .
Struggling to force a residential door and then leaving it wide open with no ventilation control while taking up radio traffic, only to burst in and find theres already a crew on the other side of it, masking up in the smoke but forgetting to put the regulator in, wheezing and out of breath after some light physical work and a bit of smoke, forgetting the TIC outside and crawling around in the dark. It's no surprise they let him go to Charlie side to keep him occupied and make him think he was helping while the rest of the companies went to work on the fire.

Thanks for confirming you haven't the slightest clue what you are talking about.
The YouToob Couch Captains are always good for a laugh 🤣
"I'm going through your house" Love it. Tell them, don't ask them. Not the time for diplomacy. 👍
Guess he never heard try before you pry. You left a important piece outside.
Good stuff man, always happy to see the city boys getting work!
Awesome job man, but you left the tic on the washer!!! Lol
One of the most important things and he left it outside.
Awesome job!
With a crew going interior on the alpha side, are you not worried about affecting flow path by entering through the Charlie side and without a line nor a partner?
Good stuff Joe!
Thank you!!!
@@joekuhn40 No..... thank you 🍆💦
Excellent work.
Just one question why were you all not masked up upon arrival
The First arriving Engine Co. Was all masked up. The Tower Company members may have to do multiple tasks outside before they make entry. As seen in the video.
Do you guys not take a ladder to the rear for VES of the 2nd floor??
Try before you pry…. Door might have been unlocked. Probably not but he didn’t even try lol
“Probably not but he didn’t even try” that’s just sounds stupid.
@@joekuhn40is what’s stupid is tearing up a door that could have possibly been unlocked, just to have to secure it after the fire is out. Even crazier that you can’t take respectful criticism. That’s how we are taught in Ohio but PA might be different….idk
@@casehunter8376 don’t make comments if you can’t handle a response Devil Dog. Also Ohio Sucks!
@ LMAO!! You’re the one that seems to be having trouble handling any comments other than padding you on the back. Oh and by the way…. OH-IO!!!! National Champs!!!!!
Could have broke a window out and unlocked the door.
SMH
I'm going to be a Firefighter this year as that's my dream job
This Video is not how it’s done . Being a cowboy like that will get you fired or worse killed . Try before you pry . Never force a door unless you have water and two in two out .
@FreemanWithrow Welcome to city living, Sorry to hurt your feelings.
Not sure how many guys you ride with in the back. Does 1st due truck have a 1st due OV and Roof?
“Lieu Im going to do your job for you instead of searching off the line” Instead of going to the rear and completely fucking the door up, maybe search off the line? With the visibility you probably would’ve found the back door quickly and been able to just open it… also you gave a report of side C, but never updated that there was smoke in the basement… so the excuse of going to the rear for a 360 is void, because you didn’t fully complete it…
Should always try before you pry
Gotta love the digital bonk in times of urgency!
Great Job Brother!!!
Try before you pry my man
Well in the hood if a door is closed it’s probably locked. Carry on Devil Dog 🤡
@ and barred….Can’t really argue with that fact. Norman still resonates in my head
"The hood" 😂😂😂😂 That's cute.
Hi! What camera do you use and where do you put it? 🚒
Same angle as mine. I’m gonna guess mounted near his streamlight
Nice work guys keep it up there
Awesome video bro always calm
Why did you bust out the basement window?
Because it’s a basement fire..
i have no clue what im supposed to say about this vid. :
Rear door open with no command from CP
Ventilated the fire Even in the basement
Let the door open
No water apply synchronise with this vent !
ok ok ok ...
@jacobmongeau6170
Yes it is dear you have no clue 🤣
These guys legit are on numerous fire every week... at this point there is no question on how they operate. Check out other videos from other Harrisburg guys... they know what they are doing
A lot of couch quarterbacking here to a guy that works in one of the busiest and most progressive fire departments lol
That is one cramp, Truck
And we have a cowboy that needs suspended and retrained
🤡
Here from the start
amazing
❤moreeeee
interesting
Could’ve just broke out the small window pane and reach in to unlock the door like they taught us in FF1-FF2 school.
Once you break windows you have no control of flow path. Where as if you force the door you can just close it and control the flow path
Even better he could have tried the door knob to see if it was unlocked. He also left the TIC outside on the washing machine
@@DanielDavis-w1rhe also sees more fire in a week then you do in your whole career
@@DanielDavis-w1r That's exactly right try before you pry.
Not sure what "school" you learned that in. In the field youll find that the book isnt always your guide.
