My mower of choice. In my opinion the best. I bought 3 mowers one year when I was 14 a no..9 a no.9 high gear and then a big no.4 john deere at the same auction in ky. I used them but the 6ft bar on the jd was great I could out cut all my neighbors.
I worked in a small factory that made these mowers. Then they had to "convert" to a power-take-off variant. If you know what THAT was. That was a long, long time ago. LOL
I put a 10 year old kid on mine while I was walking along behind him He pulled up to where his Daddy was standing and told him he had figured out what he wanted for Christmas
