  • Robin returned home from his holiday in Sicily to the sad news that Queen Elizabeth II had passed. Coincidentally, the hotel he and Pip had been staying at was one where Winston Churchill had stayed. From that hotel, he penned a lovely letter to her majesty the Queen not long into her reign. Robin now reads you this letter.

Poignant, appropriate and respectful. Thank you. This is also a reflection into your character, a true English gentleman. Churchill was the greatest leader of the free world of our time.
Queen Elizabeth has been perhaps the greatest living symbol of what makes our societies great! Like Churchill, she acknowledged all glory and honor to Christ our Lord. Although admittedly skeptical, I sincerely hope and pray this will not change!
Thank you again Robin. As a, “cousin from across the pond,” I send my condolences and respects. May God bless you, Ross and your families during this time!

"Death is not an ending, but a symbol of movement along the path upon which we are travelling. As it may be painful to lose contact with the physical aspect of one we love, the Spirit can never be lost. We have been and always will be a part of each other."

Thank you Robin. I'm so sorry for the loss of your beloved Queen Elizabeth. Did she know about your program? She would surely love the quintessential English country gentleman that you are! Although I've been to England a number -not nearly enough! - of times ( I never did get to have tea with her ), I truly will miss her. I hope it's not too cheeky of me, but I will miss seeing her colorful, fab hats! And yes, God Save The King! Much love from Kathleen in VCalifornia

I fear she didn't know the chanel. At least I don't think she did. Nice thought though, and absolutely no cheek. She dressed in bright colours in order that she should stand out in the crowd. I think it was Queen Victoria who first said "I must be seen to be believed" but it was an idea that Queen Elizabeth certainly adopted, and she repeated the phrase several times. I am delighted to say I have attended the Buckingham Palace tea parties on a couple of occasions in the past. All very exciting. Thanks for watching. Robin

@@robinshuckburgh5561 Being an Aussie I am no Royalist, but her devotion to her pledge of duty both to England and to the Commonwealth was beyond reproach. I have the utmost respect for this gracious lady. I should also add, that Winston Churchill has as far as I'm concernd a "chequered" history - not always glorious as some claim, but I acknowledge his way with words.
