  • Ukraine's request to use long-range missiles in Russia that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says his country needs hangs over a meeting of close allies.
A decision on whether the US will approve their use into Russia could take weeks. But, what are the weapons in question and what are they capable of?
American-made surface-to-surface Army Tactical Missile Systems - known as ATACMS - and the British Storm Shadow system, that fires missiles at targets up to 250 kilometres from their launch site - are the centre of the latest debate on Ukraine’s plea for long range missiles.
Both would allow Ukraine to strike deep into Russian territory. Russia's use of deadly glide bombs has helped Moscow make significant frontline advances.
The Institute for the Study of War suggests there are more than 200 targets in reach of the weapons.
