You got a good start going there should cover most task , First Aide Kit !! , Fire Extinguisher fer sure , You can get a small 1 ton manual operating crane or 2 -3 ton elec one . How about a torch set , maybe add a Brg heater later on . Also I would suggest to weld some pegs on the inside walls of the box - you can hang bigger wrenches , sockets etc off them like you did with your grinder disc , I had a spare water tank made from 6 in PVC to wash up with , cool off hot parts , rinse off stuff . , I also had a cheapie microwave to heat up my lunch , hot chocolate in the winter , popcorn etc . I had a hammock I could Mount off the boom if need be . I had one customer that had jobs in 3 states- Dude talk about a Service Call !!! Several times I got called out at like 7pm ( after working a full day already ) an didn't get back till like 7AM , I did field service for Heavy Equipment like Dozers , Cranes , loaders , graders ,etc my truck was a Ford F8000. , my first truck at Caterpillar was a F550 . With a 8 ton boom Also a International Harvester DT466 with a 12 ton boom . Oh keep you a clean change of clothes , an a bag of baby wipes , an one of them travel tooth brushes in the truck you just never know . Big box of HD black trash bags , Old blanket , 12x 18 ft tarp , bottle body wash , cheap pair of shoes , don't forget your duct tape 👍 , that umbrella was a good idea I always carried one as well . Oh some big sheets of Cardboard like from Washer & Dryer & refrigerators . Man loose gravel or dirt sucks to roll around on , There were a couple of times I was damn glad I had my 1911 with me too.Good Luck an be Safe out there man .

I do, also plan to get a bigger truck like a dually 3500, and a crane to help with engines / transmissions and heavier stuff. I also hate doing big repairs, but some are just money makers. Like trannys on rwd trucks are gravy money for me, or smaller 4 cylinder engine replacements. Thanks will do. 💪🏼
Do you do a lot of transmission service? If so, Matco sells 1/2" drive impact extensions that are 3/8" drive on the ends. They're incredible for bellhousing bolts when paired with the 3/8 wobble sockets. I hope this helps!
Yes I do. I actually have 3. One matco, a snap on one and a blue point. I like the blue point because it also locks, my matco is the shortest one which I tend to use the most and the Snap On one is the longest at almost 3 ft which I hardly use.

Thank you. First of all, I was slowly building a customer base while working at a shop. Second, get familiar with your local laws, there’s always someone wanting to either report you or sue you. I have my business license, BAR license and insurance plus EIN number. That’s another thing, the business side of it paper work and taxes are way different, you also have to determine weather you want to be a sole proprietor or an LLC. It’s honestly not too difficult, but you have to put in the work, since it’s your business, you might be doing 10-12hr days. At the end of the day it’s the best move I made, just be consistent and ambitious.
I do heavy equipment and I work at my leisure and have a large customer base and work every day. Weekends too if I want. Get known and your customers will refer you to their friends and their friends also. That’s how I got known and have customers that will pay me extra to do emergency service calls and or bump someone else and move them to the front of the line. Most pay me cash the rest are checks or credit cards. Once you get known and do quality work your phone will ring all day.
Cheaper, lasts longer (smaller bottle to carry) and I usually weld thicker metals which works co2 works good for. It sucks in the winter since it can freeze, but I’m in Arizona so not too big of a deal. I do also have a bottle of argon mix, but I tend to carry the co2 more.

What size of coolant hoses u usually carry
I just carry heater hoses, 5/8 and 3/8 in bulk and also vacuum hose 5/16 and 1/4 I believe. That’s it.
What hose reels are you running?
Just some cheap harbor freight ones for now.
Those mac Allen sockets are meant to be used instead of a regular Allen work awesome
They’re meant for stripped or rounded off Allen heads, haven’t had a chance to really test them out yet.

GEICO. I use their business insurance. So far haven’t had an issue.
