Scream Scream 5 Scream 4 Scream 2 Scream 3 Agreed, most consistent horror franchise and all the movies are pretty entertaining. Even though its the last in my ranking, Scream 3 has my favorite line: "Its not just a new script, its a new movie. My movie. and its called 'Sarah gets skewered like a fing pig!'" Love it. Makes me laugh every single time.
5. Scream 2 (it's good. I just never loved it.) 4. Scream 5 (Solid new interpretation with nice cast) 3. Scream 3 (I really like it tbh. Nice atmosphere) 2. Scream 4 (Imo by far the best since the original. Brutal, unforgiving, dark atmosphere and awesome twist) 1. Scream (one of my 10 favorite movies ever made)
i agree that the franchise is very comsistent and maintains a high level of quality. Even the "worst" Scream is really good. The movies in the middle-field of my rankings are very close to each other in terms of my enjoyment. Best to worst: 1. Scream - untouched because of it´s originality, characters, impact in the genre and the great ending. 2 Scream 4 - Best twist/reveal since the original. Best characters and overall story of the sequels. Most entertaining and goriest of the franchise 3 Scream 2022 - Nice story-concept and good use of suspense and tension. Kills make an impact for once! The twist/reveal and third act in general was weak 4 Scream 2 - Very good for a rushed sequel. Did not care for the characters. Twist / reveal was a mixed bag 5. Scream 3 - Tone of the movie is out of control. The twist/ending is meh. There are far to many things in the plot that are absolutly absurd and outlandish (voicechanger, "Sidney´s halfbother making it big in Hollywood and gets to direct a Stab sequel). Going "behind the scenes was a good idea. Parker Posey was the best thing in the movie
@Castelar Garcia please don't start writing movies lol.. I've been a fanatic of these movies since I was 8 (22 years) and all this would be completely wrong and out of tone with the other films.. sorry I don't mean to offend yu in any way,, I can see yu've put a lot of thought into this but it just sounds like yu've watched Cult of Chucky,, Halloween 2018,, A Nightmare on Elm Street,, The Hunger Games and a bunch of other random movies,, compiled them together and put a scream mask in the works to make it a scream story.. scream in too original for all of this..
Love all the films. I don’t even count my last place as a bad movie 1. Scream 2 (9.5/10) (This movie did what the original did but made it better imo) 2. Scream (9.3/10) 3. Scream 5 (9/10) 4. Scream 4 (7.5/10) 5. Scream 3 (7/10)
Nice ranking! Mine is: 5. Scream 3 4. Scream 2 3. Scream 4 2. Scream 5 1. Scream There are times where I enjoy more one film over another, but this is my most common feeling.
Good video, Drumdums. Here’s my ranking right now: 1. Scream 1 2. Scream 2 3. Scream 4 4. Scream 5 5. Scream 3 I have the new one at No. 4 because I predicted the killers before the reveal. First time that’s ever happened to me.
Great video Drumdum on Ranking the Scream Films, and here my Ranking. 5. Scream 2 (Least favorite and Very Boring Scream Sequel.) 4. Scream 5 ( A Very Average and Okay movie.) 3. Scream 4 (Very Good Movie that way better than Part 5.) 2. Scream 3 (Most Underrated and Fun Sequel.) 1. Scream (Best Movie)
this is my ranking. btw i’m doing it in which one i prefer watching not by which one is the best. Scream 4 Scream 2022 Scream Scream 2 Scream 3 Great franchise tbh. all enjoyable the original halloween sequel can’t relate 🤭
For me dude my ranking would be... 5. Scream 5 4. Scream 4 3. Scream 2 2. Scream 3 1. Scream You know... i really have a soft spot for Scream 3. It really wrapped everything up quite nicely and is very re-watchable
totally agree with this ranking. only one i agree with. kudos for being proper. unlike all these other losers who rank 3 as last just to copy others and the overrated claim that 3 sucks. 3 is amazing. and this list is perfect.
@@topguntk870 cheers dude Also Roman is the best/smartest ghsotface... Romans originality by using a voice changer to manipulate situations and using secret passages throughout his house to get to places quicker was pretty smart. And before you say "his voice changer didn't make sense". Well... it actually made more sense than you think. All you have to do is use a police scanner ('IMSI catcher' - which has been used for decades) to records someone's voice from a distance, then isolate and extract their voice and render it through into a modulator. Roman has been stalking Maureen and Sidney for some time, so was able to do this and most likely had done this with other people. Roman was the best GhostFace. He was so smart by manipulating people into certain situations and getting them right where he wanted. Its like he was playing a game of chess with them. Not only is he smart, but he is quite strong too. He took on 7 people in under an hour all by himself, inwhich other Ghostfaces needed an accomplice. He also orchestrated everything right from the get go and set everything in motion. The fact Roman managed to manipulate events and was clever enough to use things like bullet proof vests makes him the perfect ambodiment of Ghostface. Plus it was quite comedic and I always have fun with it. It's just a shame about Scream 3s writing.
@@abrimfulofasha i agree with every single thing you said. roman is probably the main reason i love 3. his charisma, charm, brutality, emotion, he had it all. if you locked every ghostface killer from every scream and had a kill off, roman would easily win. he also had the highest kill count of any ghostface and he didnt need a partner! he did everything all on his own. the most superhuman. he did so much i cant even remember some of it because it was so much carnage he did. surviving a stab to the heart and still getting up.hes by far my fave. he managed to kidnap gale and dewey, he also killed bodyguard with ease, somehow took on multiple people without any damage and without getting caught or killed. i can go on and on ....hes the best
@@topguntk870 he truly is. The only reason he managed to kill 7 people in under an hour is cause he used his smarts and got everyone to a house that he knows inside and out. Plus it had secret passages, so he could get to one place or another with ease. He was playing a game of chess with everyone the whole time.. truly a remarkable killer. And yes, hands down he would destroy all the killers on a one on one. He's strong, but he's much smarter than everyone else. That's what most ghsotfaces lacked
@@abrimfulofasha agreed! hes the only killer i actually wanted to win. out of all 5 scream movies. i love him and im a straight male haha no homo. hes just that amazing.
1. Scream 2: For me on the same level as the original. Suspense, great twists, dark comedy and a thrilling story. I just have a very slight preference on part 2. 9/10 2. Scream: A masterpiece 9/10 3. Scream 5: A fresh look on the whole story with sympathetic actors and an awesome final act 8/10 4. Scream 4: Very enjoyable and thrilling experience. I just don't like the visual look of it, but other than that it's great. 7.5/10 5. Scream 3: I guess it's still fine with some solid scenes. 6.5/10
Haven't decided as far as a ranking yet but I can see why people love the ending to Scream 5. It was something really special considering Amber who I knew was going to be one of the killers got burnt to a crisp as her character did at the end of Once Upon a time in Hollywood. It was a death that totally fit her as the killer.
Hey Lee, good to see you again. I hope you checked out the Universal "Halloween" scare tour as well as Scream Fest at Theme parks. I would love to see you do a live video of you taking one of these tours.
For me it’s: 5. Scream 3: I still like it a lot! 4. Scream 5: I enjoyed it but I think it’s a bit overhyped and the killer’s identity is painfully obvious. 3. Scream 4: most of it was great but I thought one of the main three should have died... also, I like the twist with Jill but after the reveal I hated how she acted... 2. Scream 2: a great follow up to original. I liked mrs. Loomis and loved Mickey. 1. Scream: a great movie that ages like a fine whine. Really great! Edit: I wrote the comment before watching the list. Lee is a great reviewer but usually we disagree on the ranking placements, first time we have the exact same ranking...
You gotta be some mf genius if you actually guessed Richie...... Amber I agree I was literally 100% certain it was her 15 min into the movie. But Richie??? Hell naw, he even got attacked like twice. Aint no way you thought he was obvious
@@a-ftw7828 really? For me Ritchie was more obvious than Amber... a lot of people saw this coming from a mile away with both of them... I’m glad you got to enjoy the twist, it’s way better that way?
@@wardenmagellan2643 I think I did enjoy it more this way looool. Richie didn't even feel like a red herring to me either. Just a funny comedic value boyfriend character. Amber right from the begining was very much a background character rarely accounted for
My ranking 5. Scream 3 4. Scream 2 3. Scream 4 2. Scream 5 1. Scream This may change but because I waited for 5 to come out for so long I don't want to admit to myself my expectations were to high 😂😂
I'll preface this with that as a whole, I enjoy every SCREAM film in the franchise for one reason or another, but if I had to rank them, it would go a little something like this: 1. SCREAM (1996) 2. SCREAM 2 (1997) 3. SCREAM (2022) 4. SCREAM 4 (2011) 5. SCREAM 3 (2000)
We've had short female killers before and you have to suspend disbelief that all Ghostfaces have the same height and frame. It's just one of those things that can't be accurate because it would be spoilery.
So for 25 years I have loved this franchise. We all love our Elm St and Halloween s and Friday the 13th s, but by the time I got around to watching most of them in the 90's, their hey day was basically done. (I did see Wes Cravens New Nightmare in theaters, Epic). Scream, on the other hand, is one I have been with since the beginning. I've had the pleasure of seeing them all in theaters. Watching characters age an grow spanning years I think makes it more personal. The way Rocky grew and changed, the way Captain Kirk and the original crew aged and we aged with them. Sidney has grown from scared teenage girl to take no sh!t mama. I'm sorry to Wonder Woman or Captain Marvel, if you're looking for strong females, look no further than the horror genre. They're called final girls for a reason, they're survivors. Not all horror maybe accessible for tween girls as such, but Sydney Prescott is one bad ass chick to look up to. I think Gale's"arch" peaked in Scream 2 but she was always integral to help solve the case especially in Scream 3. Dewy himself, we met in the first telling Gale that he was 26 years old. Over 25 years we've seen him change and grow from rookie to seasoned veteran of these crimes. Although grizzled now because of how things are with Gale he put that pain to the side and did what he does best as a helper and protector. His showdown cemented him as not just a legacy character, but a legend to this franchise in my opinion of course. I understand the motives and toxic fandom, sometimes franchises just pump out films but we can tell when it's geninue. In the end, sometimes without the bad films, we don't get the good films down the line. We got Elm St 2 but then we got Dream Warriors. We got Freddy's Dead then got New Nightmare. We got Star Trek V but then we got Star Trek 6 The Undiscovered country. The list can go on and on. This movie is a solid sequel with it's commentary. Intellectual horror is over my head to be in honest so never really dove down that rabbit hole. So I'll be on board with the new cast to see what's down the line. Melissa Barrera does a good job Sam, but if I may for the new cast Jenna Ortega as Tara held my attention more so we shall see who ends up being the real final girl. My thoughts are out of order and all over the place, which is why I don't do this professionally 😆 but hopefully you get my point.. I have loved these since the beginning characters and looking forward we shall see. My tastes aren't the same as most as I love Scream 3 the best with the Original not far behind. Regardless of our different rankings we know what these movies are...For Wes! #1 Scream 3 #2 Scream #3 Scream (2022) #4 Scream 2 #5 Scream 4 It's been a great ride for 25 years and looking forward for more!
1. Scream 2. Scream 4 3. Scream 2 4. Scream 5 5. Scream 3 Not a bad movie in this franchise. IMO the most consistent horror franchise. I like them all.
I like all these movies it's one of my favourite franchises my ranking WAS Scream, Scream 4, Scream 5, Scream 2, Scream 3 but after rewatching all 5 again i enjoyed them all equally so it's tough, would need to rewatch all 5 on dvd to be concrete
Your list is the same as mine but with the 2nd and 3rd flipped, though I have to watch Scream 5 again to be sure of its placement. Yea, this is a pretty hard franchise to rank, prob the only franchise harder is Star Wars
I feel you. After seeing scream 5. My ranking has switched. Mines is now scream 1, scream 5, scream 2, scream 4 then scream 3. 5 is one of the best ones since the original. But scream 3 and 5 had one of the most intense fight scenes. And scream 1 and 5 had the best openings
I completely agree with what you had to say about Scream 5. The ending almost felt like a retread of Scream 4, just nowhere near as I interesting. When it comes to the characters, I thought the Carpenter sisters were great though. I was also disappointed to see Richie be the killer, he was the one character I really wanted to see stick around for future films. I keep seeing people praising Mindy as one of the best new characters, but like you, she didn’t really do anything for me. She wasn’t bad by any means, but when comparing the horror buff characters, I still prefer Charlie and Kirby from Scream 4.
There's never been a bad Scream movie and I'm so glad that Scream 5 didn't succumb to that January curse. Ranking: 1. Scream (1996) - It just can't be beaten. This movie is very clearly a masterclass in writing and directing. As much as I like 2 and 3 on this list, they just can't mess with the original. 2. Scream (2022) - It was either this or 3 on this list for this spot. I loved both of these movies equally but also had an equal part amount of issues. Overall, really great stuff but it's hard to really say one is "worse" than the other so take that with a grain of salt. 3. Scream 4 - Really iconic entry. Very brutal flick, until Scream 5 this one was easily the most violent of the bunch. Shocked the hell out of me. Pretty much tied with Scream 5 as number 2. 4. Scream 3 - I know I know "3 over 2???" LISTEN! When ranking these movies I need to talk about overall enjoyability and Scream 3 is really really fun. I have a blast with this movie every time I watch it. 5. Scream 2 - I felt like this one was a bit overly bloated and ran on a bit too long. I also didn't really care for the killers in this one as much as 1 and 4. Also, since I've dealt with overzealous fans recently it made Scream 5's killers actually realistic to me and I enjoyed have a catharsis regarding their ends. I didn't really feel that way with Mrs. Loomis and Mickey, but they do give good performances.
My ranking is from best to worse Scream Scream 4 Scream 2 Scream 3 Scream 5 I’m absolutely fuming with the new one. Last time I was this pissed at a film was alien Covenant (though no where near on that level lol) I won’t go into detail with my issues. Me and my mate had a 2 hour rant after we left the cinema last night. Though one thing I don’t get. Is the praise it’s getting from critics and fans. Scream 4 was trashed. And that film was better in every way possible. So what I’m struggling to see is what Scream 5 has that 4 didn’t! But one thing you could tell is scream 5 was missing Wes craven that’s for sure. Halloween Kills was also trashed but that was so much better than scream 5. And if anything Scream 5 has made me appreciate that more.
I totally feel you!! You’re the first person I’ve come across who’s with it, man 😭😭 god bless 🥺 Halloween Kills did suck ass, but I’m with you - it was far superior to Scream (2022)
You nailed this one, Lee. Love the ranking. I think part of what makes the original Scream so great is they do not push the revealed killers into the background during the film. Stu and Billy are such a big part of the movie that there's no awkwardness or flat reaction or confusion when they do unmask--it's done perfectly. The best of all. 1,2,4,5,3 is my ranking as well.
Another great video Lee. Oh boy this franchise is my favorite but its hard to rank it. 1. Scream original 2. Scream 3 love that final act. 3. Scream 2 4. Scream 2022 5. Scream 4 I love them all. Theres not a movie I hate
1- Scream (So fresh how they are self-aware of horror movies, and the characters Stu and Billy made it even more interesting). 2- Scream 2 (It was neck and neck with the first film. I like the twists and the red herring character as cotton). 3- Scream 5 4- Scream 4 5- Scream 3
1 . Scream 1996 2. Scream 5 3. Scream 3 4. Scream 2 5. Scream 4 I love the scream franchise it means a lot to me as a die hard fan I love the new instalment it's easly the darkest tone in the franchise ghostface was so damn brutal and creepy love the motive it's so real current of the time's I'm so glad I didn't watch the trailer or didn't read the synopsis went in blind
I've always thought Scream worked really well as a trilogy. 3 felt like a good conclusion for Sydney's character. For that reason, I could never get into 4. I tried a few times. I'm not really even interested in 5. In fact in general I have become to think that most of these franchises shouldn't just keep being rebooted and remade.
I concur. Also Roman is the best ghostface a d here's why.... @@bondjones9093 Roman wasn't a retcon. Roman gave the first ennitial push and supplied Billy with a motive to start killing. Roman only wanted Maureen dead, but Billy and Stu went on their own little rampage. As Roman said "I didnt know they wouldmake a movie of their own". So the fact they didn't take away the killings and ideas from Billy and Stu, means they respected their characters and development. Therefore not a retcon. Roman just set things in motion and technically started the whole ordeal, but they still managed to keep Billy and Stus presence known. Its clever because they did all 3 characters justice.
I like Scream 3. It was different. Every horror film goes the comedy route by the third or fourth film. Scream 4 and 5 are just rehash films. Especially 5.
4,5,1,2,3. But by saying that I love all 5. Scream has overtaken Halloween for my favorite horror franchise. And I never thought I would say any movie would do that.
The Scream franchise while not my favorite horror franchise has a very consistent quality. My favorite Scream movie is Scream 2. Another nice ranking video Lee.
Leebro thanks for finally coming around about Scream 2, like you I've rewatched the first 4 prior to going to see the new one and 2 is still the 2nd best to me, yeah I wish they had swapped the Randy death for Dewey, which now with the new one Dewey getting killed has pissed me off especially with fricking Amber being the one to kill him 🙄, should've brought back Matt so Stu could have been the killer, seeing as that's been floating around for forever at this point.
It's an odd dichotomy, even though in this instance that's a superfluousness. With the recent movie, the kitchen of 261 Turner Lane has been freed from the rest of reality (not the universe, but reality itself - see what I did there?). For years, I've been plagued by the same kitchen, insofar as its irony of juxtaposition as immediate geographical reality (namely, the farmland reality juxtaposing with modernity). With the recent release, of Scream 2022, this juxtaposition has finally lost its ability to torment, due to the cycle of nature mirroring the cloning cycle: the second cycle is consumerist, as is the first cycle, ironically. Farmland = consumerist. Modernity = consumerist, with the stretch of the universal gothic land in between. So, it's with yet more but no less irrelevant irony, that Scream 5 deals in the brilliance of popping up out of nowhere. The reveal of the killers is all down to the right of the Big Bang - the universe has finally mirrored the Scream franchise. Beyond that, I still think that Scream 2 is ingenious, for its interior magic of internet life (this is due to the Debbie Salt divulgence, about where Mickey came from). Scream 3 is another geographical magic, but not the haunting relevance of the original and its relationship with Scream 5; as for Scream 4, that's none of your business (to quote Maximus).
My Scream Movie Rankings 1) Scream 2) Scream 2 3) Scream 2022 4) Scream 3 5) Scream 4 In that order wonder when the sixth movie will come out hopefully not another 10 years imagine.
Scream 4 was shot on film with the same DP as the first three movies surprisingly enough. It looks like they added some kind of diffusion filter in post to give it a softer look but went overboard with it. I’ve always wondered if that was a choice by Craven or the result of more studio meddling.
Great vid from you as always. Finally today Scream 5 got released on Amazon movies in the UK, so i immediately bought it and at last got to see it. I really love the film, and the increased gore in the kills. Scream is one of my favourite franchises, 4 of these movies are in my top 100 films. My ranking is: 5 Scream 3 4 Scream 4 3 Scream 2 2 Scream 5 1 Scream
My ranking would be Scream 1 Scream 2/Scream 5 Scream 4 Scream 3 I have a hard time with separating 2 and 5 because I love them both so much! I love 4 too, it's heavily underrated. I love all of the movies but Kevin Williamsons presence was missing in 3
1. Scream (1996) 2. Scream 4 (2011) 3. Scream 2 (1997) 4. Scream (2022) 5. Scream 3 (2000) I feel like there’s a case of fresh movie syndrome with Scream 2022. There are good things like the opening scene but overall something just felt off. Although I did love the characters, especially Tara. The killers were painfully predictable and overall the kills were really tame. Nothing about this movie felt fresh to me. I feel like Scream 4 is still the most brutal movie in the franchise.
I find the general dislike of Scream 3 baffling. The Hollywood setting is brilliant and the third act is brilliant. I prefer it to 2. 5 is a complete POS 1. Scream 2. Scream 3 3. Scream 2 4. Scream 4 5. 5Cream
My rankings are… Scream 1996 Scream 4 Scream 2 Scream 3 Scream 2022 Maybe I missed something, but Scream 2022 was such a big let down for me. Maybe I hyped the film up too much. But I was bored watching the film. I didn’t find it “fun” like the other films in the series. And I thought Sam was so boring! I wish Tara was the main character for the film. Maybe a second watching will change my mind.
I love your list!!!!!! So many have gotten it wrong. Well done. I agree 100% about scream 4! My list is almost Identical 1. Scream 2. Scream 2 3. Scream 4 4. Scream 3 5. Scream 5
This is exactly like Cody Leach's ranking and exactly the way I would rank them! I did have a tough time with Scream 2 & 4 because they were about even to me, but some of the nostalgia of Scream 2 beat out 4 for me... I don't think I've ever had someone's ranking list turn out EXACTLY like I would have mine, but now it's happened TWICE! Wow! #Greatminds
My ranking is 1. Scream 2 2. Scream ( I saw Scary movie 10 million times before I saw this, so ruined who the killers were and all that for me, on first watch) 3. Scream 4 ( This movie is awesome ) 4. Scream 5 5. Scream 3 ( still think it’s better then a lot of the Michael, Jason , Freddy movies…
Agree that 5 has more problems than 3. 3 IS definitely a lot of fun like you said but that was its purpose. It wasn't meant to be as dark or scary (if that word is even appropriate for the series) as the others. Just a fun ride and it works so for me Scream 3 is most certainly above 5.
Great to see your thoughts on scream 3 has changed a bit it was my first scream film to see in theaters it really has entertaining value in it scream 3 to fans may be the weakest of the franchise it's not a terrible compliment it's a good compliment
1.Scream(1996): It has the best opening scene. All the characters were enjoyable. It has the best reveal in Stu and Billy. It has the best killer Stu in my opinion. The final act was amazing. The only negative is that Gale was slightly annoying. 2. Scream 4: It has the best final act in my opinion in the franchise. Jill has a great motive and it was a great twist. Sidney has arguably the best performance in the whole series. The negative is it has the worst opening scene. 3.Scream(2022): The opening was the best since the original. The new characters were amazing. Very excited to see where they take the character Sam. The kills was the best in the franchise. The negatives were the killers were very predictable and Sidney and Gale felt tired in the movie. 4.Scream 2: The characters in this was great. Was a great redemption for Gale in the movie. Was a overall great sequel for it to be only a year after the original. The negatives are the killer twist was meh, the pacing felt slow, and Dewey’s performance was arguably the worst in the series. 5.Scream 3: Even though this is last it is still very enjoyable. The opening scene was pretty clever with how they used the voice changer. The characters were meh. Some of them was annoying. The killer twist was meh. It would have been better if Sidney knew who Roman even was the whole time. The negatives are Sidney was in it very little and the focus on Sidney’s mother was boring.
1. Scream (1996) - Masterpiece. 2. Scream 2 - New characters are not so great, except for Olyphant, deaths are more brutal and it's really tense, maybe not too funny as others but still a strong horror sequel. 3. Scream (2022) - My favorite set of new characters, best Dewey film in my opinion, not the best killers but they fit with the theme and overall its really well shot. 4. Scream 4 - Truly one of the best twists, Kirby had final girl potential for sure, rest of the new characters just not so good, there's some bad acting here and there and the cinematography... I still consider it a good movie tho. 5. Scream 3 - Campy fun, agree with Posey being a standout, i just can't stand the many dumb plot elements, don`t enjoy the third act that much as well.
For me: 1. Scream (1996) 2. Scream 4 3. Scream 2 4. Scream 3 5. Scream (2022) I adore Scream 1-4, some of my most favorite movies. I may come around to Scream (2022), I’ll have to see it again. I was just really disappointed in the new film 😕
my fav horror franchise of all time is Halloween like you 💕 it's just with scream their isn't nowhere near as much films as Halloween or Freddy. But I will say the scream franchise is prbly one of the only horror franchises I can think of that had a legit series more than one or two movies and not one of the films was bad or terrible. Which kinda had me shocked cuz I actually took my time and watched each of the movies and each were so good. This is my first time recently to see all 5 of them like that. The 4th one annoyed me at the beginning tho but it was a great movie with the loop lol it reminded me of in nightmare 4 or 5 that loop scene how their tryna save the girl from being turned into a roach and Freddy purposely loops them and we see them and that same scene over and over again as he gets to the girl... Also dang Sidney definitely suffered the most in the scream where it was her brother/the director of stab oof that she didn't know was her brother and she suffered the most imo in scream 4 because her niece (Emma Roberts) or whatever that was the closest anyone ever got to actually killing her. Cuz she let her stab her oof. Like their were so many opportunities where I was like she slipped up you could run oof. And I love how Sidney can just say to the wannabe Billy's you forgot one thing in the story the ppl coming after me always end up d**d or caught. Also besides Halloween (their are a few movies that shouldn't have happened with Halloween Michael Myers I'll admit) but the closest to scream franchise is Halloween imo and idk to me scream is prbly one of the only horror franchises I can think of where each new movie in the franchise makes sense. And it's not just a random storyline of a bunch of nonsense unrealistic stuff..Love how Sidney said CLEAR lol. And the eerie shot of sideny next to Emma Roberts when she passes away oof or almost does. It's just wild that basically all the billy wannabes are like billy pure e**il at the end of the day to where they usually wake back up. Also I will say this.. that one of Sidney's best lines.. besides the clear line... is that ppl need to take accountability and stop making excuses for why they k*ll, you k*ll cuz you're evil only evil ppl do that and shes right that's basically what she told her brother when he wouldn't shut up about his motives. I was with Sidney like just shut up to her brother Idk why it took me this long to actually get into scream the one time I actually take ppls advice cuz ppl kept saying it's overrated and I believed ppl lmao it really isn't when theirs not one bad or terrible movie. That's a win for me if the movie is that decent to where its 1hr and 50 minutes at least but feels like 30 minutes like it went by so quick cuz I got invested. The fact they killed Dewey off like that like dang he was like the brother of Sidney. Lol when Dewey was in his trailer it definitely reminded me of when we saw Laurie hiding out in her old home lol. I think even in scream 5 they made a joke about his house and it kinda reminded me of what ppl would say about Laurie's house . Also in S5 Jenna Ortega was basically like the drew Barrymore of the movie obviously except she survived I'm glad she did that's a interesting changed and she called 911 quiccck had she not thought quick most definitely her character wouldn't have survived.
I agree on the ranking 100% have each movie in the same spot. I personally want to rank 3 higher even with the problems it has I had a lot of fun with it but those side characters are so irritating .
I am with you on the new one. Really disappointed with the new film. 5 has so many issues and the final act and ghostface reveals to me is so disappointingly lame and almost borderline parody level that it sinks the whole movie for me (my friend was let down too and said thought she was watching a parody of the original scream!) Mine is best to worst: 1. Scream 2 2. Scream 3. Scream 4 4. Scream 3 5. Scream 5
My main issue with the first Scream movie is that the first 10 minutes was soooo good in some ways it spoilt my enjoyment of the rest of the movie. Still one of my all time favourites though
"Gail's haircut is not helping anything" 🤣 You might be the first man in history to ever notice a woman's haircut. Lol Those were some bad bangs she had in three though.
Big fan of your channel Here's my ranking of the franchise now that I've seen Scream 2022. 5. Scream 3 (some good things, but mostly just scattered) 4. Scream 4 (pretty good, cinematography is big for me though and this movie needed better cinematography) 3. Scream 2 (good film, good sequel, I like this movie alot) 2. Scream 2022 (I liked it for what it is, good cinematography, it's fun, and it's a tribute to Wes Craven) 1. Scream 1996 (fantastic film, enough said)
My Ranking 1. Scream 2. Scream 2 3. Scream 3 4. Scream 5 5. Scream 4 Original is a classic. Part 2 is awesome, especially Mickey. Part 3 has an impressive Ghostface and wraps things up nicely. Part 4 I really don't like this movie, too clean , weak ass killers, not intimidating at all and Jill is a whiney b*tch. Part 5 I like how they switched things up, Carpenter sisters are great, killers aren't so great but they didn't bother me as much as Part 4.
1. Scream 2 2. Scream 3. Scream 3 (its biggest flaw is the lack of blood/gore, but I think the story itself is solid) 4. Scream 5 (A little too meta in some moments for my taste, but I enjoyed it overall) 5. Scream 4 (I didn’t care for any of the non “OG 3” characters)
My list: 1 - Scream (1996) 2 - Scream 2 3 - Scream (2022) 4 - Scream 4 5 - Scream 3 Randy is my favorite character in the entire franchise. His knowledge of the slasher genre and great lines in the first one elevates that movie to the top. Not to mention, Scream’s (1996) opening scene is one of the best in horror history. Mickey is my favorite killer in the franchise. Timothy Olyphant’s performance in that final act is incredible. His acting along with his character’s clever lines make Scream 2’s final act my favorite in the series. The car scene is awesome as well!
This is my ranking of the Scream movies franchise drumdums 1. Scream 2 1997 2. Scream 4 2011 3. Scream 3 2000 4. Scream 2022 5. Scream 1996 This is my ranking of the franchise drumdums
My Ranking Of The Scream Franchise: 1. Scream (1996) 2. Scream (2022) 3. Scream 2 (1997) 4. Scream 4 (2011) 5. Scream 3 (2000) TV Series: 1. Season 2 2. Season 1 3. Season 3
My ranking is 1. Scream 2. Scream 2 3. SCREAM 5 4. SCRE4AM 5. SCREAM 3 My favorite opening is actually Scream 2, but after seeing Scream 5 which definitely mirrors the opening to the original, It might be my second favorite.
I want to see Kirby and Mindy play off each other, regarding their love of horror movie trivia,in Scream 6.
Scream
Scream 5
Scream 4
Scream 2
Scream 3
Agreed, most consistent horror franchise and all the movies are pretty entertaining. Even though its the last in my ranking, Scream 3 has my favorite line: "Its not just a new script, its a new movie. My movie. and its called 'Sarah gets skewered like a fing pig!'" Love it. Makes me laugh every single time.
My Ranking:
1. Scream (1996) 10/10
2. Scream 2 (1997) 10/10
3. Scream 4 (2011) 10/10
4. Scream (2022) 10/10
5. Scream 3 (2000) 8/10
5. Scream 2 (it's good. I just never loved it.)
4. Scream 5 (Solid new interpretation with nice cast)
3. Scream 3 (I really like it tbh. Nice atmosphere)
2. Scream 4 (Imo by far the best since the original. Brutal, unforgiving, dark atmosphere and awesome twist)
1. Scream (one of my 10 favorite movies ever made)
1 scream
2 scream 2
3 scream 4
4 scream 3
5 scream 5
i agree that the franchise is very comsistent and maintains a high level of quality. Even the "worst" Scream is really good. The movies in the middle-field of my rankings are very close to each other in terms of my enjoyment.
Best to worst:
1. Scream - untouched because of it´s originality, characters, impact in the genre and the great ending.
2 Scream 4 - Best twist/reveal since the original. Best characters and overall story of the sequels. Most entertaining and goriest of the franchise
3 Scream 2022 - Nice story-concept and good use of suspense and tension. Kills make an impact for once! The twist/reveal and third act in general was weak
4 Scream 2 - Very good for a rushed sequel. Did not care for the characters. Twist / reveal was a mixed bag
Scream 1 ,Scream 2 Scream 5 Scream 3 Scream 4 Great review Lee👍👍
I've only seen Scream 2022 once so far but as of now..
5. Scream 3
4. Scream 2
3. Scream 4
2. Scream 2022
1. Scream (obviously)
Great video!! 😊
1. Scream 2
2. Scream 1 & Scream 5 tied
3. Scream 3
4. Scream 4
Love all the films. I don’t even count my last place as a bad movie
1. Scream 2 (9.5/10) (This movie did what the original did but made it better imo)
2. Scream (9.3/10)
3. Scream 5 (9/10)
4. Scream 4 (7.5/10)
5. Scream 3 (7/10)
Nice ranking! Mine is:
5. Scream 3
4. Scream 2
3. Scream 4
2. Scream 5

Good video, Drumdums. Here’s my ranking right now:
1. Scream 1
2. Scream 2
3. Scream 4
4. Scream 5
5. Scream 3
I have the new one at No. 4 because I predicted the killers before the reveal. First time that’s ever happened to me.
Scream 2 definitely got a lot of hate at some point but I', glad people are warming to it now!
Yeah brother what was I drinking? It’s amazing, and might be more entertaining than the first.
Part 3 is the worst because of Courtney Cox's haircut alone.
Omg those bangs tho...🤦🏿♀️

1. Scream
You know... i really have a soft spot for Scream 3.
@@topguntk870 cheers dude
Also Roman is the best/smartest ghsotface...
I just have a very slight preference on part 2. 9/10
2. Scream: A masterpiece 9/10
3. Scream 5: A fresh look on the whole story with sympathetic actors and an awesome final act 8/10
4. Scream 4: Very enjoyable and thrilling experience. I just don't like the visual look of it, but other than that it's great. 7.5/10
My exact list! Great choices my man
Scream 2 is my favorite too.
Scream the new one is so good I love it
Hey Lee, good to see you again. I hope you checked out the Universal "Halloween" scare tour as well as Scream Fest at Theme parks. I would love to see you do a live video of you taking one of these tours.
For me it’s:
Amber right from the begining was very much a background character rarely accounted for
My ranking
5. Scream 3
4. Scream 2
3. Scream 4
2. Scream 5
1. Scream
This may change but because I waited for 5 to come out for so long I don't want to admit to myself my expectations were to high 😂😂
I'll preface this with that as a whole, I enjoy every SCREAM film in the franchise for one reason or another, but if I had to rank them, it would go a little something like this:
1. SCREAM (1996)
2. SCREAM 2 (1997)
3. SCREAM (2022)
4. SCREAM 4 (2011)
5. SCREAM 3 (2000)
We've had short female killers before and you have to suspend disbelief that all Ghostfaces have the same height and frame. It's just one of those things that can't be accurate because it would be spoilery.
Fair point Inga. Thankfully they never showed them as Ghostface together haha. Charlie and Jill were practically the same height.
1. Scream 4
2. Scream
3. Scream 5
4. Scream 2
5. Scream 3
#1 Scream 3
#2 Scream
#3 Scream (2022)
#4 Scream 2
#5 Scream 4
It's been a great ride for 25 years and looking forward for more!
Amazing list! Only thing that is different on my list is 3 and 5. I’d switch those
1. Scream
2. Scream 4
3. Scream 2
4. Scream 5
5. Scream 3
Not a bad movie in this franchise. IMO the most consistent horror franchise. I like them all.
For me it’s
1. Scream
2. Scream 5
3. Scream 4
4. Scream 3
5. Scream 2
I love all of them though it’s the most consistent horror franchise
My ranking is 1,5,4,2, and 3, great video as always
I felt the same way about the killers motives in Scream 5. I completely agree. But the rest of the movie is perfect in my opinion.
Hey Lee!! S1S4S5S2S3 . Scream 4 my favorite sequel. ✌🏻🤟🏻
Same as my ranking.
Welp...thank you for not pissing me off. Hahaha.
There's never been a bad Scream movie and I'm so glad that Scream 5 didn't succumb to that January curse.
Ranking:
Lee, you're awesome brother. Thanks for all the Scream content. Weekend without my little boys and I'm binging the franchise.
You're welcome Daniel!
My ranking is from best to worse

I’m absolutely fuming with the new one. Last time I was this pissed at a film was alien Covenant (though no where near on that level lol)
I won’t go into detail with my issues.
Oh the Covenant is garbage sauce haha. Love HKills though.
Exactly. They are a key part of the plot even before the reveal.
Another great video Lee.
Oh boy this franchise is my favorite but its hard to rank it.
1. Scream original
2. Scream 3 love that final act.
3. Scream 2

I love them all. Theres not a movie I hate
it's still 5Cream to me lol

Scream 4
Scream 3
Scream 5
For me at the moment but after the original the rest change positions depending on my mood
1- Scream (So fresh how they are self-aware of horror movies, and the characters Stu and Billy made it even more interesting).
2- Scream 2 (It was neck and neck with the first film. I like the twists and the red herring character as cotton).
3- Scream 5
4- Scream 4
5- Scream 3
My order is
Scream 2
Scream
Scream 3
Scream "5"
Scream 4
1 . Scream 1996
2. Scream 5
3. Scream 3
4. Scream 2
5. Scream 4
I love the scream franchise it means a lot to me as a die hard fan I love the new instalment it's easly the darkest tone in the franchise ghostface was so damn brutal and creepy love the motive it's so real current of the time's I'm so glad I didn't watch the trailer or didn't read the synopsis went in blind
3 sucked with the whole retcon and long lost brother motive.
I concur. Also Roman is the best ghostface a d here's why....
Romans originality by using a voice changer to manipulate situations and using secret passages throughout his house to get to places quicker was pretty smart. It's just a shame about Scream 3s writing.

Couldn't agree more Lee. One of the most consistent franchises ever. Except for No. One everything goes when it comes to place 2 to 5.
Indeed Dieter.
I love you for ranking 4 above the new one. 4 gets a lot of flack from people, but I enjoy it.
I’ve always been a big defender of 4.
all entries are VERY entertaining…. S1>S4>S2>S5>S3 🍿❤️🔪

2) Scream 2
3) Scream 2022
4) Scream 3
5) Scream 4
In that order wonder when the sixth movie will come out hopefully not another 10 years imagine.
Scream 4 was shot on film with the same DP as the first three movies surprisingly enough. It looks like they added some kind of diffusion filter in post to give it a softer look but went overboard with it. I’ve always wondered if that was a choice by Craven or the result of more studio meddling.
Haha I'm shocked it was shot on film!
My ranking:
1. Scream (1996)
2. Scream 2
3. Scream 5
4. Scream 4
5. Scream 3
(I still love all of these movies though)
Great vid from you as always. Finally today Scream 5 got released on Amazon movies in the UK, so i immediately bought it and at last got to see it. I really love the film, and the increased gore in the kills. Scream is one of my favourite franchises, 4 of these movies are in my top 100 films. My ranking is:
5 Scream 3
4 Scream 4
3 Scream 2
2 Scream 5
1 Scream
Thanks Jon!
My ranking would be
Scream 1
Scream 2/Scream 5
Scream 4
Scream 3
I have a hard time with separating 2 and 5 because I love them both so much! I love 4 too, it's heavily underrated. I love all of the movies but Kevin Williamsons presence was missing in 3
1. Scream (1996)
2. Scream 4 (2011)
3. Scream 2 (1997)
4. Scream (2022)
5. Scream 3 (2000)
I feel like there’s a case of fresh movie syndrome with Scream 2022.
I prefer it to 2. 5 is a complete POS
1. Scream
2. Scream 3
3. Scream 2
4. Scream 4
5. 5Cream
I just think all the characters outside of Roman and Parker Posey are complete throwaways. Having said that, I have some fun with it.
My rankings are…
Scream 1996
Scream 4
Scream 2
Scream 3
Scream 2022
Maybe I missed something, but Scream 2022 was such a big let down for me. Maybe I hyped the film up too much. But I was bored watching the film. I didn’t find it “fun” like the other films in the series. And I thought Sam was so boring! I wish Tara was the main character for the film. Maybe a second watching will change my mind.
same man, you’re not alone 😭
I love your list!!!!!! So many have gotten it wrong. Well done. I agree 100% about scream 4! My list is almost Identical
1. Scream
2. Scream 2
3. Scream 4
4. Scream 3
5. Scream 5
Thank you!
Wow! #Greatminds
My ranking is
1. Scream 2
2. Scream ( I saw Scary movie 10 million times before I saw this, so ruined who the killers were and all that for me, on first watch)
3. Scream 4 ( This movie is awesome )
4. Scream 5
No it doesn’t? Scream 5 is fantastic
@@MovieGuy919 I realize I'm in the minority on this one but aside from a few things, I really wasn't feeling Scream 5.
2:00 #5: Scream 3
4:18. #4: Scream V
7:01 #3: SCRE4M
9:38 #2: Scream 2
11:42 #1: Scream
For me:
1. Scream (1996)
2. Scream 4
3. Scream 2
4. Scream 3
5. Scream (2022)
I adore Scream 1-4, some of my most favorite movies. I may come around to Scream (2022), I’ll have to see it again. I was just really disappointed in the new film 😕
Here is my scream franchise ranking
1. Scream 4
2. Scream 2
3. Scream 5
4. Scream
5. Scream 3
Scream 5 doesn’t have any major issues
Nice Rankings Mr. Lee
The Original Is UNQUESTIONABLY My #1 Movie
my fav horror franchise of all time is Halloween like you 💕 it's just with scream their isn't nowhere near as much films as Halloween or Freddy.
I was with Sidney like just shut up to her brother
Idk why it took me this long to actually get into scream the one time I actually take ppls advice cuz ppl kept saying it's overrated and I believed ppl lmao it really isn't when theirs not one bad or terrible movie.
5 has so many issues and the final act and ghostface reveals to me is so disappointingly lame and almost borderline parody level that it sinks the whole movie for me (my friend was let down too and said thought she was watching a parody of the original scream!)
Mine is best to worst:
1. Scream 2
2. Scream
3. Scream 4
4. Scream 3
5. Scream 5
I believe the next scream will explain the events of the new one and stu was the mastermind of it all.
My scream ranking is
1. Scream
2. Scream 4
3. Scream 2
4. Scream 5
5. Scream 3
My main issue with the first Scream movie is that the first 10 minutes was soooo good in some ways it spoilt my enjoyment of the rest of the movie. Still one of my all time favourites though
1. Scream - 10/10
2. Scream 3 - 9/10
3. Scream 4 - 8/10
4. Scream (2022) - 8/10
5. Scream 2 - 6/10
"Gail's haircut is not helping anything" 🤣
You might be the first man in history to ever notice a woman's haircut. Lol
Those were some bad bangs she had in three though.
🤣🤣
Big fan of your channel
Here's my ranking of the franchise now that I've seen Scream 2022.
5. Scream 3 (some good things, but mostly just scattered)
4. Scream 4 (pretty good, cinematography is big for me though and this movie needed better cinematography)
3. Scream 2 (good film, good sequel, I like this movie alot)
2. Scream 2022 (I liked it for what it is, good cinematography, it's fun, and it's a tribute to Wes Craven)
1. Scream 1996 (fantastic film, enough said)
Thank you! Nice ranking.
@@DrumdumsOfficial overall, Scream is a very solid franchise
My Ranking
1. Scream
2. Scream 2
3. Scream 3
4. Scream 5
5. Scream 4
Original is a classic.
Hey. what’s up man do you know when the new scream is gonna be ready to stream on Paramount plus are on prime Thanks
My list is the same and I used to have Scream4 as number 2 as well.
1. Scream 2
2. Scream
3. Scream 3 (its biggest flaw is the lack of blood/gore, but I think the story itself is solid)
4. Scream 5 (A little too meta in some moments for my taste, but I enjoyed it overall)
5. Scream 4 (I didn’t care for any of the non “OG 3” characters)
I just don’t get the hate for scream 3 , I never understood it.
Before I watch this are there any spoilers for the new movie? I'm only going to see it tomorrow.
Yes
My list:
1 - Scream (1996)
2 - Scream 2
3 - Scream (2022)
4 - Scream 4
5 - Scream 3
Randy is my favorite character in the entire franchise.
I totally agree with you. I love Randy and what he brought to the movie. He was missed after scream 2 but it works in the end.

True.

3. SCREAM 5
4. SCRE4AM

My favorite opening is actually Scream 2, but after seeing Scream 5 which definitely mirrors the opening to the original, It might be my second favorite.
