Great video, thank you for the great content. I have a question I created a Kanban board based on a filter from an existing scrum board. However the done column has all done tasks in the project. I updated the filter to hide completed issues older than 4 weeks however the issues are still there. Do you have any insight on this? I appreciate your response. 😱
It should work, but I would imagine that after 4 weeks, you have quite a few issues in that column. I also think it’s a rolling 4 weeks, so the issue itself should go away after 4 weeks. Alternatively, you could just release your board by just creating an artificial release and that should take care of your problem.
Great video. Question for you if you're still monitoring comments: Scenario where you might move to Kanban and you have a leadership team that doesn't want to be in the weeds of when stories are done, but they are adamant about pre-planning and providing "target dates" on when larger functionality will be deployed. You spoke of Releases in the context of DONE work, but is it feasible to use the Release feature to track a future deployment?
He was covering User Stories in Kanban. To track future development, you will want to use the Product Roadmap feature in Jira, and these are tracked to Epics (which are then composed of User Stories).
Hi! how are you? I made a kanban board and added the duedate in the ticktets. But the date doesn't show in the board, you can see it only if you open the ticket. Do you know if it's a bug or if just kanban doesn't allow it to show? thank you :)
What do you mean by first setting up a Kanban project and then going over to Scrum? Is it even possible to change once you have it up and running as a Kanban? How do you change it if possible? (approx 9 min into the video) I'm just about to configure a scrum board but wonder if I should first create a Kanban to get the benefits you talk about?
You can't delete issues from a board. Issues are deleted from a project. You can remove issues from a board, but that's dependent on your board filter. You also need to have the delete permission at the project level.

That was too damn specific. I'm very glad to find this video :)
Great overview! Thank you!
This video helped me understand the Kanban Board.
great video on kanban board for jira
Scrumban please... can it be done on one project on must I have 2 jira projects to achieve?
Hi, It's a great video. By any way is it possible to showup subtasks on Kanban associated with the story/ spike /defect/tasks?
Yes, in a Kanban board, it is possible. You may need to go to your board configuration and update your Swimlane to be based on Stories.

Where will I find the " done" tasks when it is removed after 2weeks?
I think to view them. You should create a Dashboard first and then Edit it by dropping Activity stream in it.

so there is not start and stop sprint like how we dont in scrum board .
