e most beautiful music I heard days in the prime of my youth in 1995 In your time, my dear father, may God have mercy on you and grant you the gardens of bliss
It must me amazing for people who only know Jaz from his work with Killing Joke to also see how talented he is in classical (and otherwise) music and instrumentation. Yes, he really is playing violin and flute on this track (he also plays the pungie (aka cobra pipe) elsewhere on this album).
OMG, bad 80s choreography. One of my all-time favorite albums. Good on Anne for playing qanun! I remembered being impressed with all of the instruments that Jaz played on this album, and I was so enamored with Anne's keyboard and piano, that I missed her additional instruments.
LOL. I had never seen that video before. I understand the record company needed to promote the album - which is one of the finest pieces of music I've ever heard, I'm lucky to have the CD - but this a bit laughable. They could come up with a better idea of dancing choregraphy, maybe more in line with traditional dances from Egypt. Still the music is great. I have a friend of mine who's a muslim living a very rigorous version of islam, he never listens to music because he tinks it diverts him from his faith. I made a copy of this album and convinced to give it a listen ; he later confessed he utterly relished listening to it.

In my opinion Anne Dudley is one of the greatest composers/ arrangers of all time
All the Iraqi people knew this tune because it was available on Iraqi television in last century 💔💔💔

Jaz does a mean Ron Burgundy.
Yep.. The dance is ''too much''... Otherwise it is perfect.
Song is listenable, video not so much. Would like an old fashioned video with just the MUSICIANS, please, and just the music!
.
Why the dancers are great.
Is there no end to this guy's talents?

VERY COOL!
probably the most cheesy (poppy, shitty, etc) piece from the album - and the video i watch for the first time is just AWFULL, i want to unsee it.
That is you opinion, You are completely wrong but thats your choice.
