I just got a white 08 convertable and never thought that I would LOVE LOVE LOVE it as much as I do. I have a few issues that I am getting fixed but I plan to keep it till it dies on me !!!
Pt cruisers will always have a place in my heart. I grew up around them and ended up buying one as my first car. We did have to sell it eventually cause the mechanical issues were far more than what I could afford to fix but I do miss that car.
The convertible version is pure Art Deco in the design, I own one like yours and I always get compliments everywhere I go. A cool car for cool guys. It does feel quite solid and is so much fun to drive. Is a real keeper!!!
Have you ever bought seat covers for your convertible?? I have a 2007 and cant find any since u cant remove the headrest.
Those latches in the back side panels are for tying things down. The backseats actually go down and flat forward and then you have access all the way from the back of the trunk to the back of the front seats. It’s for and if you want to transport some thing long I would assume. I have a 2006 PT Cruiser convertible and I absolutely love it! Nice video, I did appreciate it from start to finish!
I just bought a 2007 convertible and LOVE it!! It's a beautiful lavender-blue opalescent. So much fun to drive, both in the city and at the beach. Different than anything else I've driven before! Thank you for sharing your thoughts and for the comparison.

The windshield is supposed to be at a different angle that changes the profile, the roll bar is designed to cause smooth air flow over passengers in the back seat (which are at a different height from the sedans). The back seats can fold down using the knobs at the top edge of the trunk opening. Lots of things are different in the Convertible.

I love my 2x 2001 Limited and like to brag about them 299k KM original owner and the other 107k km 2nd hand both I cherish both Dark plum PMT both Borla exhausts ,both RB1 with Mopar Sub double the fun, just need to get a GT Convertible and I'm set for life!!! Love you channel! Its because of you and your passion for the PT's and fixing them I had put more TLC on them. Haters will always be haters because they suck.
I bought a new 2002 US Spec PT Cruiser through military overseas car sale in Germany. I drove it for over 100,000 miles before I sold it. I love that car and my only complain is the US version is electronically governed to 105 mph, which very slow for Autobahn driving (even my less powerful 1996 Fiat could go faster than that). It handled the Alps just fine.
I just recently picked up 2010 nissan cube still cruising in the cruiser
It's weird that there's a rear-hatch open switch inside the glove compartment area.
And the storage drawer under the passenger seat is cool.

Well, a reason they sold a lot is rental companies loved them. They were cheap and comfortable. Chrysler meant for the PT to be a very limited run (30k PT's) but once people and rental companies enjoyed them, they kept them running off the line.

This is probably really late but I have an 05 pt cruiser gt convertible and it is also silver. Everyone tells me it’s so cool and cute lol. Just commenting on how you said everyone doesn’t like the way they look. I haven’t gotten a negative opinion so far on how it looks 😂
The back seats do fold down if you haven't figured that out already.

Look in the trunk there are two buttons one on each side you pull them out and push on the back seats and they will fold down I have an '05 convertible

These convertibles have a very different window switch particular to this 2007 2 door Touring. The pins inside the window switch clip in the center console is not the same. The parts are extremely hard to find. I like the car but due to the inability to purchase a new window switch from the dealer or any auto parts stores has made this car a dinosaur. So if you know where u can find these parts I'd like to know. I am also looking for drivers side window motor. Also the check engine light is always on even though there are no codes thrown. Probably due to poor fuel cap quality. Also the air conditioner is always in need of freon or work. I like the car. Love the convertible as a summer car. The noise is unnoticeable to me at all. It's also turbo charged so learned to remove foot from gas and then floor it several times to get it quickly up to 65 75mph. If not very slow and sluggish to get it up to speed.

My 06 coop has the electric front back driver seat
The top is hydraulic and the pump is hidden under the rear window, also so you don’t damage the top, when you close it make sure that above the windows it doesn’t get caught in the arm.
The hooks on the sides are for the back seats when you put the seat up there is a strap that you pull straight up and the entire seat comes up than there is a clip that locks them in place so that they don’t fall down. Also the Gen 1 convertible does not come with cup holders in the back and there is no center consul

There are levers that you pull in the trunk located in the top right and left in order to move the seats forward, than that will expose the straps.
I think the PT Cruiser Convertible is a better job ride than the Hatchback Wagon
With the convertible is it hard to see backing up compared to the hatchback?

The video was more about you than the cars, so of minimum value in terms of direct comparison. Were they the same model year? Does the convertible exhibit more body flex, as is typical? What year was the convertible produced? Otherwise, too much talk about yourself, and as a result it was a waste of time if cars were supposed to be the topic.
