Because it seems like many people are having trouble with this stage, there are no cuts or transitions except when you have to play through a second time. Hope this red rings guide helped you guys.
As of right now, I won't upload any more Sonic Generations videos unless there are DLC stages, (Mushroom Hill ftw).

You gotta admit, Planet Wisp Modern sure does accurately portray Sonic Colors. You spend about a minute in 3D and then 95% of it in 2.5D.

+The Real Jarkes I'm glad sonic colors is that way but it doesn't really work in generations
Not only that but the wisps ruin the level design of these levels like in that game.
TheZeldaExperienceWithin i wouldnt say it ruins it, i think its just a bit unnecessary to have them. But... it does bring me back to the sonic colors feel :)

You're right in the comment,one of Sonic's best games I've ever played!Although it was really short,it has a lot of replay value and the rewards given makes it more sweet.My only complain about the game is that is too short,but since there'll be DLC's then I'm ok with that.

You know, I have to say that this is one of the best levels in this game. Seeing Planet Wisp in HD was the one thing I wanted ever since playing Sonic Colors and hearing of Sonic Generations. I also liked that this level provided a challenge, while some of the others were pretty much mainly "Boost to win!" I also like how the level can only be done within 5 minutes while the other levels can easily be done within 2 or 3. They really took their time with this level.
Update: GOT 'EM ALL!! The last three I needed to get were in this very level, and it took a while to figure out that the last one needed was the FIFTH one.

Okay, just need the Red Rings from this level and I'll be complete!(Two hours, one neighbors/police noise complaint, and a fistful of torn-out hair later) NOPE!!!
2:19 I'm having troubles with this one. Modern Sonic sucks to jump, I can't reach the red ring.

Han Daimond Just do trial and error. try to jump on the platform as it's reaching the top, and then hold the jump button as long as possible.
It takes a bunch of tries, but you'll get it eventually.
I always smuggle a extra rocket wisp

I hate this level so much, i hope rest of Sonic Colours isn't this nerve wrecking. I just managed to find 1st one alone because Sonic is a dick for timed jumping.

This video help me get all 5 red rings that I never got somehow for Planet Wisp act 2 and that’s pretty much it for the red rings! I got Reach for the Stars and every other skills and collectibles! Thanks for the red ring videos!

Fun fact you can actually get rings 4 and 5 in one play though if you do a ground pound immediately after breaking through the floor after ring 4. It allows you back into the area and from there you can acquire ring 5

Planet Wisp was the best world from the actual game to me. They just made it pretty daunting in this one because it was the final level. That being said I still think the modern one was pretty amazing. And personally I didn't care for Aquarium Park.
Opinions and all that I guess. I'm really just replying because I want to show some love for my favorite Colors level.
Tip: you can actually get all 5 red rings in one playthrough. when you get near the rail of rings, press y at the right and move right to the center, once you get the ring, move the rocket and fall. After that move left and go up.

Actually, if you're fast enough to stomp at 4:03 right before the door closes, you can get the fifth ring in the same run.

woah, i found that spot by pure accident on the doppelganger challenge and i figured there would be a red ring there, so i checked it, and there it was.

I kinda wished the whole level was the like the start. Every modern level should be like Green hill modern and speed highway, awesome rollercoaster rides. But this one slows you right down when you get to the rocket and mine carts area.

I remember getting all the red rings in planet wisp in sonic colors. The painful memories
I don't know if you read my other comment but I don't hate this stage as much as I did when I first bought the game. But it isn't the best one. It's an okay stage. Btw I rarely even play Sonic Generations now. I just think the creators of Sonic games should change up the gameplay and make the other characters playable. Add more platforming and speed sections. And stages should be longer, change camera angles on some intense parts, bring back Special Stages from Heroes. To me they should do that.
For red star ring #4 and #5, I missed the rocket gate at #4 and stayed to the side of it until the rocket stopped, then I moved into the ring while falling on the orange rings that let you get to #5 in the same run.

Hey, have you thought about doing Red Ring guides for Colors and Lost World?
Comment removed. I now don't hate Planet Wisp in Generations. But I was expecting it to be better than the one in Colors. I was just pissed off that day, took me hours trying to get all red rings and I think trying to S rank it. I fully finished Generations, but I got like 95% complete. I don't know what I'm missing. I think I gotta get an achievement on pinball but I deleted it because it was boring to me. I don't really like pinball games or just pinball in general.

Number 3 was the one I never got to getting. I was just nay close to getting across the platform to the place I needed to be, then the spinning spikes happened. I can re-try again anyways. All I need is that one and Number 5 and I'm done with that, then I get to work on Act 1!

Well, really, this is the only level I ever play anymore because I think it's so damn fun just to boost in a sidescroller section. All of the other levels are fun too, but this one just particularly catches my eye. (Beautiful music and stage, fantastic graphics and detail, and not to mention fun gimmicks.)
Lol, my first attempt at this stage took me approx. 8 - 9 minutes. Of course, in a matter of weeks, it progressively went down to 5 - 6 minutes.
