While, sure, your chops are impressive, I really think the actual impressive thing is your rhythmic accuracy and consistency. You dont slow down or speed up during runs even in wide interval runs or tuplets. Thats an important skill to have, especially at an 8th grade level. Good job.
Thank you so much! I listened to the piece quite a lot, often before sleeping, in the car, or on my way to school. This really helps me get the "feel" for where everything should be. But most obviously and above all, practicing with a metronome :)
Great job on this! I really love the rhythmic and note accuracy throughout. Very consistent. I hope Casey sees this. (Check out some of the 9/16 bars in the beginning tho🤙🏼)
craziest title i've ever seen. I guess we're about the same age now and i'm thinking about what i did in 8th grade. it was covid year and i did nothing
I remember someone did this for a percussion competition once and the judges all said, “crappy piece” and gave it a low score, even though it was played very well.
2:21 is incorrect, the lower note is a B natural as seen in m. 105 of the score. See the composer's recording here: ruclips.net/video/9yIidaajecE/видео.html&ab_channel=CaseyCangelosi

The most impressive thing about this is how good the cameraman made this look.

Im a sophomore and i just now started learning yellow after the rain. You are literally too good dude
What does yellow after the rain have to do with anything?
@@mrman7361 I was saying he’s insanely good compared to me and other people his age
@@mrman7361 it's a beginner piece, he's just saying this kid is 3 years younger and he's so much better already.
@@mrman7361it's just considered one of the easiest Marimba solos whereas ehite knuckle stroll is a more intermediate piece
That’s pretty dang good
Your tempo is amazing. Keep up the great work.
Thank you so much !

Thank you so much, Jacob! Slow practice with the metronome for weeks truly paid off!

fr, im in the snareline for my high school but i can play marimba, and jeez dude, this is crazy
I remember someone did this for a percussion competition once and the judges all said, “crappy piece” and gave it a low score, even though it was played very well.
