Jello is a great item to eat when wearing your corset! Spoons are great for jello and spoon busks are great too!!

I heard you mentioning this video in another video, and I have to say the part about spoons was so interesting that I stopped the video to focus better on it.
My first serious corset was from Orchard. They divide their corsets into three silhouettes, and I got on level 1 and one level 2 to test the fit. The level 1 is nice to sleep in and the level 2 (at a size smaller) works well for day wear. I'm corseting three days a week and two nights (but never a day and night all at once) while saving up for a full custom corset. These were a nice introduction and the customer support was very helpful. I dropped my spoon!

Silly thought for a costume. Ren fair style clothes; practical for travel, but bright or flashy or gaudy in some way. Something with personality. If long haired, a relaxed, whimsical hairstyle. Add something spoon themed, be it print or applique or hair pieces or whatever. Now you're spoony. Add an instrument. Now you're a spoony bard. Bonus points if you also come equipped with songs and/or puns. More bonus points if they're spoon themed. Digital cookies for anyone who actually gets the spoony bard reference.
It's really important to make sure that your corset has enough room to fit in every spoon in a standard set of silverware underneath the lining, otherwise it's just no good

be careful of what material they're made from since they impart different flavors. I have assorted silverware, including a lot of serving spoons- maybe even a couple runcible spoons- but I'm very fussy about what spoon and fork I use.

love the vid, i agree with everything but just to let you know there are some companies that use the s.m.l. sizes will actually show bust, waist, and hip min size dimensions and the max sizes that the corset fit good. i have two wonderful corsets that i had gotten that had those dimensions. they are wonderful. that is all i have to say and i love the fact that you are out there to help people be better informed about the wonderful, glorious world of corsets and corseting. love all you vids.

Thanks for this! I've been very iffy about ordering corsets after I received my first fashion corset top.
I am a size 20 and my waist is a 43, so I use a 38 inch off the rack corset. most corset sellers online have corset well up to the 50's. So I don't think finding one for you should be a problem. I buy from corset story, the US/Canada version of corsets uk. Lucy has a few corsets from them, too, and they are very good for beginners.
I once sat in a Dairy Queen with a few friends and cried randomly because my plastic spoon broke... I can only guess that it was just an emotional day that day.
I go through my spoons so quickly, I hate hand washing them all the time!!
And I really hate the fake corsets. Since a little girl, I've loved the look of corsets. Just last year I found a website and my mom bought one for me, both of us with no experience buying corsets online. I have a 24" waist, so my mom bought the small, and it was way too big. I made me look like I had no curves at all! But buying real corsets is really expensive, so I switched to making my own to fit my exact shape. :)

I got my first corset from corset story. It was on sale because they were out of a lot of sizes at the time. I think I made a good choice for my first corset purchase. I just want a simple black underbust for beginners. I'm still not great at lacing myself in but I'm getting better!

Yeah I've bought form corset story before and I was fairly pleased with what I got. I did have a faulty corset from them once (part of the busk was broken). I contacted costumer service about it and after sending in a few pictures to verify that it was broken they sent me a new corset of my choice at the same price. Worked out pretty well since a broken busk is easily replaced. :P

OMG! Thank you so much! She has exactly what I'm looking for. I can afford some of those corsets. Mostly the closeout silk ones. The sizes are perfect. I'm actually Latina and have the shape to prove it. Even though I'm overweight, I have a clear hourglass figure with a 42 waist size; my hips and chest measure closer to 50. The problem is I have terrible posture and it often affects my back. I was hoping to correct that and feel fabulous doing it. Again, thank you. I love your videos btw!

Stumbled upon your videos watching makeup tutorials. Your hair videos came up and you talked about corseting and that got me very curious. I've only heard you talk about the pros, are there any cons? Would this be good for someone that is not necessarily interested in waist training, but rather use it for a way to hide a muffin top on a 46 year old woman and maybe define the waist a little more? What would be a good starter corset? Hope you can answer, but would understand if you couldn't.

Spoons are really the best for eating ice cream, in my opinion. Forks just don't seem to do as well.
I've been looking into corseting for a couple years now. But honestly, I just don't know where to start. I'm an overweight, anxiety/PTSD prone college student and so not the 'type' to corset. At least that's what I was told the one time I walked into a corset shop with ridiculously high priced garments for women not over a size 6. I've been looking online and like you mentioned, some 'cheap' retailers don't seem to be too reliable. Do you have any recommendations for someone on a budget?

Hi Lucy :) I have a custom made 24" steel boned underbust (because I have huge hips in relation to my small waist, so mass-produced ones simply wouldn't fit right anyway). I love the way I feel in it, but I would usually wear it under things so its not obvious. I recently discovered it looks great peeking out under the likes of my demin jackets. Just a shame I can't get rid of the bump from the bow at the back, but I feel better wearing it in public now.

Alright, so this is about buying one online, but what about selling one? I ordered a corset, but when I received it, I was able to close it right out of the package. I guess I lost weight in between ordering and receiving it, because there was no mixup in my order. :P The invoice I got with it accidentally got thrown away, so I can't return it to the dealer. would a corset with only 12 steel bones brake or not work as good as one with more steel bones?
I prefer to have at least 1 steel bone for every 2 inches around the waist of a corset (so if a corset has only 12 steel bones, then it would be suitable for a corset size 24" or smaller). But if I am going to be waist training in it, I generally prefer at least twice as many (i.e. 1 bone for every inch).
The spoon had noticed just how very OCD she was, and how it lead her to good things sometimes, no matter how small.

So I've found that I don't really enjoy spoons with a "deep cup". My mouth is pretty small and I have issues eating food sexily with deep spoons.
