For some reason, when I click the outline icon it makes a circle around whole design not an outline. Not sure what’s going on with that. Is there a solution, am I missing a step or do I need an add- on?

maybe you have it set for inches instead of metric. If so set the spacing to .25 instead of 6.5

is there a way to import motifs into ftcu or to save a motif once you have a motif you made in a design?
