- Well I finally did it. I bought what i feel is the ultimate gold bar for me. It's simple, elegant, and well known. It's the perfect price and the security is a driving factor. The Royal Canadian Mint Gold Bar checks all the boxes for me. I will not stack generic gold and that will never change.

No question...it's a beautiful piece. In terms of holding a lot of wealth in one spot, it's a good buy. Not something I'd buy, but you have to stack in ways that satisfy you as an individual. I love the fact that so many people are seeing the value in holding both Gold & Silver, so this is a good example to others who are starting out or over focused on something like Silver or even worse...Copper. Not that I don't like both metals, but there's a reason that Gold holds more value than the other two. Great stuff!

I also Stack the RCM Silver 10oz Bars. I’ve always wanted a RCM Gold Bar to match but I Hate the Assay. And I always hear not to cut them out. So I started stacking the 1/10 & 1/4 oz Gold Coins. So I’m glad to see you do it.

Love the bar my friend. Never seen anyone take it out of packaging. Gotta admit I squirmed a little. I do however remove my 10oz. silver bars from vinyl sleeves though. Congrats on the acquisition.

There's a dealer down the road from me who doesn't like bars. He pays under spot and takes them out of the assay to test them then throws them on a pile to go the smelter. The only bars I've seen him resell are the RCM bars. Thanks!

Excellent gold bar choice, gotta love the RCM gold. I have not stacked a full ounce bar yet but if I did- this bar would be the top choice. Now, if we can only get the US Mint to craft a bar worth stacking..

Definitely a gorgeous bar. I like the classy look of their bars wether they're gold or silver but I haven't picked any up since they're normally $10 or more premiums on the silver than some of the 10 oz bars I get that I still like the look of, such as the Asahi, the Scarsdale stackers, and more. Thanks. I'm not a fan of the assays myself. I like my gold in capsules.

I just watched yours and I really didn’t mean to persuade anyone but it just looks so much better. I don’t understand the stigma of assay cards either. Dealers don’t like bars to begin with.
Beautiful bar, but the coin shops around me in the pacific northwest aren't crazy about bars. It's been a year or more since I've seen a bar at a coin shop or coin show. Looks good though..
I'm definitely going more into yellow than silver going forward. I really wouldn't mind if the price would stay under 1900 for awhile

Great video! Wouldn't the bar rattle in the casing? I have a hard time finding a dedicated case for 1oz gold bars since the silver bar cases are thicker.
On fire guys does have one with a black gasket for that very reason. I might grab one too.

Awesome lookin' bar SB!, I've been working on a 10oz RCM monster box which has been my main focus lately but might have to add one of these little guys to my shopping cart as well. It's hard not to like this bar and their 10oz bars are pretty sweet!

@@SilverBritches oh it will be for sure!, I ordered the correct RCM monster box for these from SD Bullion for $20 bucks or so. Stacking 50 of these bars will be an excellent achievement.

@@SilverBritches currently on 8 bars, two layers of the box (4 per layer) as long as they're in stock, I might grab another four bars this Friday, I got sidetracked a few weeks ago by picking up a pre-33 BU Liberty which was damn near the price of 8 of those bars alone. I like my gold but might make completing this box my goal for 2023. Btw, the bars are in airtites from onfireguy and I took the foam they provided and used it between the layers of my monster box so the bars won't slide around. Seems to work pretty good so far.

Nice bar! Question: other than perhaps for verificaiton of authenticity purposes, what good does the seriel number do for recordation purposes. Since my insurance company (home owner policy) won't insure my bullion, I'm asking myself what the purposes of the seriel number (other than security purposes) from the home gamer perspective?
The serial number identifies that specific bar. That is why it is crucial to have the seller write the serial number on your receipt. If it proves to be counterfeit you can go back to the seller for redress.
Beautiful bar! Does your state charge tax? I’m in California so everyone I want to buy I need at least $1500 which sucks. I buy 1/10oz gold coins or 10oz bars on occasion but idk if it’s worth the price with tax.
You’re better off saving up and purchasing the minimum amount to not pay tax.

About investing in gold. We know that gold is a very valuable resource. It has been for thousands of years. And apparently still is. It's a physical thing. Separate from the digital system. But if someone needed to use it to make a purchase, transaction or share its value with another individual, wouldn't it circulate back into the digital world? They could not cash it in, if cash didn't exist.
Would they have a written agreement. Or some type of partnership?
Which capsule did you use for the bar? I want to take them out of the assay, the only reason I keep them in the assay is so that it’s protected..

Looks wayyyy better in the capsule than the assay! I might start doing that myself.
If you plan on selling it you might regret it or check with your local bullion dealer first. I just plan on holding this one forever.
The Britannia gold bar is also incredible… these two gold bars are probably the only ones id consider buying

Why is the RCM bar so much larger then the 1 oz Pamp Suisse bars? I bought two 1 oz of each bar from Costco , and the Rcm bar like you show here looks double the size of the Pamp Suisse lady fortuna bars even though they are both 9999 1 oz bars with the same thickness? Is this common? If I knew this I would of stayed away from the Pamp bars and ordered more Rcm bars l
I wouldn’t worry too much about it. In the end it’s still one ounce of gold.
Definitely my favorite gold bar due to its looks and high recognizability.

I have yet to buy a gold bar. No particular reason. Biased towards coins, probably easier to sell. Nice looking bar though. Enjoy.
That’s always been my thought too. I figured I’d give it a go and yup, I like it. I still prefer coins though.
I think that harder-to-sell-bars argument is strictly regional; I live outside a major metropolitan area and have never had any issues selling gram weight gold bars to my LCS slightly above spot price.

I’m not a fan of proof gold at all so my choice was very limited in respect to bars. I feel good about it.

are u from canada? if you are dont you pay tax on the bar and not the coin? The bar doesnt have face value on it so its not legal tender so you pay gains on it in 10 years. if you're in the states i have no idea about that but thats why i been stacking the coins not bars. I never looked into that much but interested in what you have to say if you've looked into it. If you're American shouldnt you be stacking American gold coins with face value on it for the same reason so you can avoid capital gains taxes? I have no clue let me know if you know haha. I only buy canadian maples because im canadian i dont want to pay tax theres too much tax as it is but if im wrong I'd love to buy some buffalo's i like the way they look.
We’re only supposed to report taxes on profits when selling. The only time we get hit with foreign bullion taxes is when selling 25 ounces of gold and $10,000 in silver.

I take mine out and put the package in my closet in a box lol. if someone wants the original package they can have it! I also cut the package so i can slip the bar out and back in and it looks like it hasent been opened before.

Nice bar but definitely a mistake to break out of assay.....My local LCS won't take them out of assay and even the big bullion houses are hesitant to buy back without assay.....to each their own though.Stack on!💪

On what basis does the customer buy this gold, there is no security certificate. GOLD IS MONEY. There are security signs of any country on the coin. This company that manufactures people thinks they are stupid.
The RCM bars are very nice..... BUT, not as nice as the No. 1 gold bar which is the PAMP SUISSE GOLD Bar. Everything else is below.

The 10 oz Canadian one is my second favorite and I have 4 of those. The the 10 oz British Royal Mint is just as nice as the Canadian one. And,
