The basic rules of 301 is to score points to bring that number down to 0 the fastest. It gets harder as the number gets smaller cause you have to be exact once you reach a certain point. The machine doesnt count it if ur dart hits a number higher than ur remaining points. For example, you have 10 points left. You’d want to hit the single 10 exactly, you dont want double of triple. Alternatively, u could get lucky and hit a double 5 which still makes 10
