You are doing a ton in SmartSuite it looks like...will you be replacing Airtable with SmartSuite? I have a fair amount built out in Airtable, but I just tried a SS account and it looks pretty sweet.

Hey Jon, I'm not sure about replacing Airtable per se. I think each company only needs one or the other... Airtable or SmartSuite. I think which tool is best for you will depend on specific needs and features that you're looking for. For example, Airtable interfaces make working with your team pretty seamless, however the "My Work" section in SmartSuite makes it really great for task management.

@@GarethPronovost Yep our processes/tasks are held in a different software. I use Airtable primarily for connecting all our software together with zapier. We use the CSV email sync with AT so we would need that in SmartSuite. Looks like it is REALLY cool though.

Does it always default to Full Permissions for all team members when one creates a Solution? Would it not be better to make the new Solution available to no-one until one gives them permission? It's a bit dangerous to default to Full Permission if one then forgets to go back and limit permissions. Or can one set it to no permissions? Thanks

Yes, that's the current default. I recommend making this the first thing you do when creating a new solution: update the permissions!

Can you change permissions on views?

Permissions exist at the user and team level, but this takes effect in the views 💪

I love smartsuite but I will go broke working with all my contractors on projects. Which may be why we have to leave Smart suite. BOO

Why not give them read only permissions?
