While the term “identity politics” belongs to the Left with all its baggage, separating identity from politics is ultimately impossible because of human nature. People want groups to belong to. In a healthy society, national, regional, familial, and spiritual identities help fulfill this longing.

Yup, he deserves oh, say, 20x his current number of subscribers. Alas, Christian theology appears like a "niche" interest to the ignorant masses.

Womanist Theology is an outgrown of this unique development within the faulty doctrine amd its unbiblical confession and creed which have theor actual roots within the writings of Marx and Engels Communist Manifesto.

This excellent content seems to pull from at least two great thinkers whose ideas are worthy of a larger audience: Georgetown Professor Joshua Mitchell, and author/podcaster Aaron Renn. Anyone who appreciates this narrated essay would also appreciate Renn's book Life in the Negative World, and Mitchell's book American Awakening and his various youtube content. Imho, Mitchell's talk at Patrick Henry College's Imago Dei conference is one of the best articulations of his thoughts. Thanks for writing this commentary and for putting it in audio form as well.

Great video, it reminds of some other higher quality youtube narrative essayists, but without the regime censored content. We need more Christian material like this, thanks for all that you do.

    'plant my feet with ....16:05'!!
    btw, just to nitpick🙂
    1. Magna Carta came from CATHOLIC England
    2. The South was settled by people from the Anti-puritan, Cavalier regions of England.... and Scots who were anti-puritan....
Puritans settled New England. They are still there. 🙁 Must be in the dirt😊

Only one error, which doesn't affect the point. Heaven is a pleasant place to visit but we're NOT going to live there. Our final destination is the new Earth.
Secondly, Im not sure what Pinky is trying to say here at all. It seems very unfocused.

I listened today how you said on your podcast how anti-slavery and abolitionism are not the same thing. (It's like Phil Leigh saying, secession didn't cause the war.) I can't wait to hear what you have to say about that and American slavery. When is that expected to come out, with all it's murky and dubious rationalizations and justifications?

Ok. Some pushback on this is in order. Buckley, Russell Kirk, and George Will all championed the idea of "Statecraft as Soulcraft," and forming a national identity in line with traditional values.
The shift to corporatist conservatism came with the Bushes. Once Reagan and Buckley passed from the scene, and Paul's followers purged from the GOP, the pivot to "Neo-Con" began. Bush the Younger used the crisis of 9/11 to complete his shift to big government, surveillance state, "freedom" in rhetoric. Gone was anyone who embraced soulcraft, replaced by cultural nominalism, economic and social pragmatism, and interventionist foreign policy on behalf of the globalist agenda.
Combined with Gulf War 2, which killed any sense of national unity gained from 9/11, this left a political right with only one firm voting bloc: Evangelicals.
