2004 Avalanche Water Leak-The Couple Project:

This is our 2004 Avalanche that’s had a leak into the passenger side floorboard for the last two years. It seems to only get wet when it rains heavily. Today I’m solo but tracking down the entry point to hopefully seal it up

I see a tru flow intake. still have mine on my 2006 GMC Yukon

Excellent video, I have a 2006 Avalanche that is doing the very same thing. Only leaks when it rains water comes in the blower and electronic blower control compartment then out onto the passenger side carpet. Your video will save me a lot of time troubleshooting, thanks again.

My 2004 leak is under door panel passenger side. it even blew off my sunroof relay on passenger corner panel. I'm guessing is weather striping. I will also check the issues you talked about ! TY.

I just inherited my mom’s 2004 Avalanche and both floorboards are wet but in a weird spot, only next to the door sill. It’s also wet in the rear driver side under the seat. I’ve got my work cut out for me.

I have ab 04 as well and mine is doing the same thing but on the drivers side. Is there an identical cap that you sealed off on the drivers side as well that could be leaking or is the passenger the only place?

@@thecoupleproject1261 I'm not too sure either. I originally thought there was another on the drivers side and that could be the culprit but at this point I'm thinking my windshield could possibly be leaking? Its
dripping from the parking brake area and down onto the carpet on a decent rain...

@mback12000 a couple years ago I got a new windshield and I haven't had that leak since. It used to run down the parking break onto the mat but since then I have not seen it happen and carpet is dry
