It’s so refreshing to see Carmen finally find her inner strength & now she’s getting her OWN bag! Corey is about to loose a lot for putting pics of her out plus all Abuse!!! God has her because she did everything to protect this abuser & her kids.
It’s not simple as just leave. There’s a thing called nuance that has to be taken into consideration. This is a man THE ONLY MAN that she’s ever been with. They aren’t just dating THEYRE MARRIED with 2 kids. When going through domestic violence you don’t think of yourself anymore. Your mind is warped by love. “One day my person will snap out of it and be the person I met”.
Please please please I’m begging yall… don’t use words like cop out and accountability when a woman says she was choked, beaten, and held at gun point. You are asking her to share blame in that happening to her and no matter what … THAT WASNT HER FAULT. That’s why she says things like “yeah I am stupid”. It’s even why she kept going back. Those words makes a victim feel like “I deserve this”
She’s beating yall to the punch. She knows that’s what everyone will say.

Corey made it IMPOSSIBLE for her to go that route he has open dv cases on her. Cops show up they literally can be coming with ICE the next time they come about her. No police involvement is her best option given circumstance and HE KNEW THAT. That’s why he had so many cases on her … he’s the citizen he holds all rights and powers in opposed to her. When she said “if it don’t go how he wants I don’t know what will happen to me” this happens to A LOT OF IMMIGRANTS. Some people hide passports/green cards and just have the wife as a glorified slave and punching bag. Immigrant men too. But she still has HUMAN RIGHTS. That her lawyer is now speaking to.
Literally … leaving can equal death for victims.
Carmen is an only child.

No males in her corner … until she met Corey. The person who now abuses her has been the only person protecting her .
See how the perspective changes now. Leave … and go where? Shes not legal and he’s made that public now. He holds all the money. Can he find her? (Which he did) just leaving in these situations takes preparation and knowing for sure this will be the last time I leave because if I do it again I may not not make it out alive next time. So she went back this last time to make sure THIS IS MY LAST TIME.
After the 🔫 situation he went in the shower and now he’s ready to “unalive” himself. Manipulation. Now it’s I can’t leave he can hurt himself cause I left. Still the father of her kids. And Carmen literally simply … loved him.
I know cause I’ve been there and I now mentor young women like Carmen.

It's a statistical fact that on average it takes a woman 7 attempts to leave a domestic violence situation... saying just leave is sometimes impossible especially when there are children involved and if Carmen really isn't legal that makes it even harder.
How you can help is just let the person know you are there for them when they need you and are ready. Give them support. Just LOVE on them. Let them know they are valuable, loved and supported.

Carmen was treated as an object she had no control over her $$ Corey controlled her by threats & abuse. Carmen admits she knew it was abuse & wanted to keep her family together so bad! The more she tried the worse he treated her!! He’s a narcissist who consistently lies & lies! People were aware including his mother who took her to hospital when he split her eye open & she was covered in bruises!! She tried protect him over & over. This is normal in DM sadly! We should praise her for having the courage to finally leave & tell her story! I’m positive by her doing so she will give strength to someone else in this situation!!! She earned millions & he put her &kids out with nothing! That’s REAL COREY!!!! Narcissistic lier self obsessed with himself. Carmen has been through so much even before Corey as a child. It has come out before but no one believed her.
The sad thing after she left ...the mental and emotional abuse continues. He has now leaked nude pictures of her all over the internet. He has leaked videos of her drunk and having a mental breakdown. Things that are private and the world should never see. All to make her look bad. Her look crazy. He has not stopped.
So many people are so quick to say “just leave” but until you’re in that position no one gets it. I said it all the time and I didn’t truly get it until I was the one who had to say “it’s not the easy”. If someone you know is going through this just be there for them. It doesn’t matter if you don’t get it, if it makes you mad, if you hate them for not leaving, etc; just be there for them. Let them know they aren’t alone and that you know it’s a delicate situation and you’re there for them regardless. Sometimes the support system is confidence boost someone needs to finally be brave enough and strong enough to walk away. And I say this as a person who was in that situation for 2 years, the support system I had in my family and very few friends after they knew about it, made me strong enough to finally leave. Don’t push them, but let them know there are resources out there if they choose to reach out for help 🫶🏻

I use to say the same thing to women who are in an abusive relationship,why don’t you leave until I find myself in one and then I realize it’s not that easy to leave.its easy said than done
Good reaction but if you goodback and watch some of Corey old ig lives he admitted to a lot of that stuff he did to her in some way and look a her demeanor in a lot of there old videos and back then other RUclips couples been was saying how he treated Carmen and some of there old camera people said it too but nobody believed it
I have dealt with domestic violence. It isn't easy to get out the abusive male it's a beaten wife syndrome. The abusive guy makes her believe nobody is there for her only he is. And he conditions her that she can't make it with out him.
As an family or friend you can just tell her when you are ready I'm here for you. And if you see the physical violence then call the police for her. If he finds her he knows what to say to get her BK home so he can abuse her again. But once again it's that beaten wife syndrome. He makes her believe she can't survive with out him. And he knows how to be one way in front of friends and throwing her around the bedroom behind closed door.
