there is alot of versatility in this kit when it comes to the removable bit parts and the claws, makes me wonder why they didn't put this much effort into other more expensive kits that use bit parts.
A decent Xacto knife is about $3 from any hobby, craft, or even hardware or office supply store. Just be careful and keep the blade pointed away from you when you use it as it's sharp. They seel replacement blade for it for cheap too.
Four bases, two long and four short, so you can ultimately have four long ones or am I mistaken in that the short ones are only half the size, or are they shorter?

Bandai hardly tries to fully paint their HG kits, this wasn't a surprise.Their HGUC Zaku sniper had the same issue.

For Decals I usually just use the tip of my xacto knife blade.
