I want versatility in all my shoes - no one trick ponies. Rotation is going to be different foams, drops etc, and some shoes will be better for easier paces and some for workouts or long runs, but I try to avoid shoes that can't handle the range well enough that I can do what I want when I get out on the road and see how I'm feeling that day. I often will do an easy run followed by a workout before heading home. I've been happy with shoes like the Saucony Triumph 20 and Speed 3, Hoka Mach 5 and 6, and the NB 860v14.
i read through the comments, where a bunch of runers wrote down their rotation......i am in the collector and addiction corner. at the moment 60 shoes on the waiting list, 70 shoes in the active roster, separated into 5 groups with 14 pairs of shoes each. I’m in need of some advice, I run 80 miles a week and I’m doing a couple workouts per week with everyday and recovery runs being the main bulk of runs. I have the Puma MagMax which I find versatile and Puma Deviate Nitro 2’s but want a secondary easy/recovery/everyday shoe that’s got a different drop because I feel a risk of injury running in the same shoe. Any suggestions Yowana?

As I said multiple times throughout the video, most runners can get by on one or two shoes. This video is designed to help those runners who enjoy having multiple pairs of shoes for the hobby of it, injury prevention or to have some choice for their runs throughout the week (I know I don't eat the same thing for lunch everyday). If that's not you, that's fine. But no need to be condescending about your personal preferences and how they differ from others
