    - Comfort: Hoka Skyward X

    - Race: Hoka Rocket X2
    - Trail: Hoka Challenger 7
I use the Skyward X the most as I enjoy their protective, bouncy ride for my daily runs, long runs and recovery runs, but the other shoes are well suited to their specific purpose.

I want versatility in all my shoes - no one trick ponies. Rotation is going to be different foams, drops etc, and some shoes will be better for easier paces and some for workouts or long runs, but I try to avoid shoes that can't handle the range well enough that I can do what I want when I get out on the road and see how I'm feeling that day. I often will do an easy run followed by a workout before heading home. I've been happy with shoes like the Saucony Triumph 20 and Speed 3, Hoka Mach 5 and 6, and the NB 860v14.

i read through the comments, where a bunch of runers wrote down their rotation......i am in the collector and addiction corner. at the moment 60 shoes on the waiting list, 70 shoes in the active roster, separated into 5 groups with 14 pairs of shoes each. The grooups are called
    heart and soul
    bred and butter
winter ( during the summer i got a group summer)
    full circle
    walking pad/early morning
in each group i got different brands, different drops, firm and soft, high and low, different colors, between 1 and 10 years old ( new shoes have to wait a while
currently slowöy reducing the whole thing because of my age and my son has smaller feet and cannot use the shoes.....i do what i can, to give all the shoes the runs they earn

.....not to forget the importance of running in shoes shoes build on lasts with lots of differences
adding a shoe with lots of groundfeel might be a good idea, to give the structures of the arch of the feet some stimulus and - you might call it much to esoteric - build and embrace a closer connection to mother nature..........walking or running a little on natural ground is also a good option to grow this connection
i often think about the old tradition of walkabouts in Australia by the aborigines ......there is more about running than the eye can see
edit: i feel the earth move under my feet
for the longest time of human history we were nomads, and our feet are build to move. In my opinion we need to have that feeling what is under our feet. So doing all runs on pavement and wearing max stacked shoes too often would be not my suggestion. Taking a barefoot stroll across your front lawn on a regular basis might do the trick

As I said multiple times throughout the video, most runners can get by on one or two shoes. This video is designed to help those runners who enjoy having multiple pairs of shoes for the hobby of it, injury prevention or to have some choice for their runs throughout the week (I know I don't eat the same thing for lunch everyday). If that's not you, that's fine. But no need to be condescending about your personal preferences and how they differ from others
