I've heard at least 20 orchestral executions of the Miraculous Mandarin. Until now, the Russian Philarmonic was the best of all. Now, I'm completely enchanted with this Orchestra, conducting and conductor. One of the best that I've heard! CONGRATULATIONS!!
Thank you! 🎶
I can't stop listening to this piece, definitely one of my favorite.
Nice interpretation 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Peter eötvös has also done such an amazing job on this piece , he recorded it many years ago.
Very nice performance… nice interpretation by the conductor 🙏
Thanks!
Thank you . This made for an enjoyable Saturday night .
Nice interpretation and performance. I've been impressed with what I have seen and heard from Cox. A fine young conductor.
Thank you!
We're happy that you like the performance 🤗
Sonically it's great, definitely one of the best. Both conductor interpretation and orchestral performances are top notch. Only criticism would be the video overhead - very distracting.
From the Wooden Prince I come to this Miraculous Mandarin. I didn´t really knew Bartók wrote this kind of music. Also. For me a new Bartók to dig. By the way, a great solist on clarinet!
That was amazing 👏🏽 fantastic interpretation. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thank you very much 🤗

Desbordante suite!!
Probably my favourite extremely problematic piece
Wait how is it problematic?
@@shaibucks7601 The piece was first written for a pantomime show. Which was about a young woman being forced into prostitution by three crooks. Her task is to lure men into her room and the crooks stab and rob them. One of her clients was the title character. As the crooks kill her, they find out he will not die until he and the girl embrace. When this first premiered in Germany, everyone lost their minds! Gee, I wonder why!
Every entry preceded by a grimace - great music, funny to watch...
What's wrong with the audio balancing? Doesn't sound right
Strings disappear at one point...
Wen stellt das projizierte Bild dar? Ich glaube, es ist nicht Bartók! Das Konzert ist aber klasse.
Dankeschön! 😊
Who was that man on the screen above the stage? It certainly wasn’t Bartók…
The person on the screen is György Ligeti. Bartók's "Der wunderbare Mandarin" was played in a concert called "Klassik mal anders: Das Ligeti-Experiment", which was a multimedia approach to classical music.
@@WDRKlassik Is that the reason for the colorful lights?
15:21 finale
Or rather close to the finale
为什么是普通话而不是满大人?
Geniales Werk unter der Leitung eines peinlichen Dirigenten !
👎 Roderick Cox 👎
Und wieder ein peinlicher Kommentar von @ruhstill1399
@ruhstill1399 please elaborate on your definition of an embarrassing conductor? The majority of your negative comments have been towards female and people of color conductors. These conductors clearly aren't 'embarrassing since the have all been invited to conduct some of the world's best orchestras. If you were to simply close your eyes and enjoy the music, you'd have no idea who was conducting.
