i’m 16 and i was addicted to porn since 7th grade, nobody really talks about porn addiction in young girls but i realized it was the most harmful and hardest one to get out of, even over weed and vaping. it seems like the most harmless thing because it isn’t hurting anyone and no one knows but that’s why it’s the most dangerous because it kills your spirit, God delivered me from it but it’s still hard sometimes. if anyone is reading this that can relate i pray that God delivers you and breaks those chains off of you. you aren’t alone and you aren’t hopeless, Jesus loves you❤️
ur comment inspired me to make an anonymous account and confess to something similar. i (female) was exposed to porn at 10 years old and became addicted for a year or two, and since then ive struggled severely with lust and masturbation. ive had a really hard time navigating having romantic feelings for people without idolizing them, and i think its because of this. im doing better now but every now and then i slip up. im not plugged into a small group or church i feel like home at until i move in july, near a church i feel called to (ive been there before when traveling). but i needed to get this out to someone who understands. thank you for ur bravery

After listening to this podcast and reading your comments I felt the confidence to share my experience with lust. I was introduced to pornography at a very early age and masturbation since then had been the easy escape from stress. I live in a religious Christian household and I always felt oppressed and threatened to ever share this with anyone. I always knew what I was doing was wrong, but since I never had a deep relationship with Christ, I would go back to it again and again. This addiction had impacted most of my relationships with women as it was hard to differentiate lust from love. For the past year, I have been working and developing my relationship with Christ, and now, at 19, he delivered me from this. I no longer feel the need to masturbate, and now I’m on a journey of learning what companionship and love really mean in the eyes of God. There is still a long way to go, but with Jesus, we can all make it. Thank you for sharing and I pray that we can all rejoice in the Lord🙏🏽🙏🏽.

That is why I want to release it. Nothing good comes from it besides a temporary fix and that leads into what feels like a vicious cycle. I never even considered how this could contribute to idolizing partners but I struggle with that as well. Im praying for you and your healing and I was embarrassed to post but I thought about how its so much more important to help save a life than to further cover your sin because of shamefulness. Aria, I am 63, I’ve been in therapy 25years over childhood sexual abuse. Its been 10years since i went thru a divorce of 25years. Now, surprisingly I am married to a narcissistic/ sex addict. Ive suppressed pain with alcohol, im sick on meds, ive been a professional worship leader/ singer songwriter……SHAME has me bound, BUT, im a speaker on sexual abuse, i speak in churches, i write music about my pain and others are healed….. IM SO EMBARRASSED AND ASHAMED BUT GOD IS CALLING ME OUT OF DARKNESS AND INTO THE LIGHT!!! Pray with me for a total healing!!!

Whoever is reading this please pray for my family. We’ve been struggling financially and we don’t have a home and have had to move from hotel to hotel because we can’t afford a home. I’m 16 and i have a job to help my family but it is only me and my dad who work and we still can’t manage to have enough to get a home. This takes a toll on my mental health with all the stress and always remember to turn to Jesus but it’s not the easiest. I just want to live in stability. I love Jesus with all my heart and trust in His plan but it’s hard. Thank you for whoever read this ❤️

I believe one of the biggest reasons why this generation struggles with mental health so much is because we lack community, we are all so isolated, so we lack the ability to confess to others. The community that we have, social media, is contaminated with 'cancel culture' and self idolatry so we are unable to be honest. We need to get back to genuine community...confession is healing!

I am posting this because I have told people before but they didn’t see this as a problem but this sin has taken over every bit of worth and made me feel like I am disgusting and no one will ever really love me. I struggle with shame and guilt everyday. I have been addicted to porn since I was in 6th grade I am 23. I have intrusive thoughts, I have ocd, anxiety, depression and an auto immune disease that I feel will only get better by sharing this all. Thank you ang and Ari for the first time ever I feel a sense of relief I haven’t ever got in my entire life I cried this whole podcast you have changed my life. I thank Jesus in every prayer that I have woman like you to look up too. I am a 23 year old female. No one would ever guess that I am struggling I seem happy and I go to church and pray every day, however, no matter how close you are with god like they said it doesn’t mean you won’t struggle. I hope one day I have the courage to speak about this to people to free them. I hope to escape from this sin once and for all. I have asked god to release me from it and after this episode I feel 1000 times lighter if you are going through something similar you are not alone. I will pray for those of you struggling with any kind of sin that you feel has stripped your light away from you that god will raise you up from the sin and make you better and closer to him because of it. You are worthy, loved, and cherished. Don’t let your mind tell you different. Jesus loves you. Im 25 and live in Zimbabwe....i struggle with smoking and being a young african girl its odd to have girls smoking out in public cause we get judged and scolded and labelled as loose so i do it in secret and its exhausting but ive been praying about it and taking steps to stop but its hard and i look forward to the day where i just wont have the urges anymore.

I struggle with a porn addiction. Because of that addiction, I got divorced and endup taking my life. Yes, I'm a suicide survivor. My friend never once understood that I was struggling, and I was looking to them for help. Im now talking about it. I still struggle with it, but it's slowly getting better.

this is real. sometimes that dopamine/pleasurable feeling becomes such a crutch. i have different, but similar struggles. i rely on coping mechanisms that feel good in the moment and leave me feeling distant and like im hurting those around me afterwards. all this to say, i see you. but God has a purpose for you, as He does for me, and i’m finding immense strength and resilience through Him. remember to rely on Him, to share your struggle with Him, and always know that there is a plan just for you. Don’t feel shame and run away from Christ, show yourself completely to Him no matter how “dirty” you feel. I’ll be keeping you in my prayers brother 💗

You should try looking for Sexaholics Anonymous meeting near you. There’s also Life Star , which is a group therapy for porn addiction. there’s healing in those groups and where there’s healing, Jesus is present.
So proud of you Arielle for confessing about your relationship with your mom’s boyfriend. I am so sorry you had to go through that. No one deserves that, but I feel even more sympathy for children who undergo abuse. Just heartbreaking. Love you and proud of you being bold!

I have no one to turn to, but you. Heavenly Father. Give me strength as I struggle to buy groceries, and as I struggle to pay rent every month is a struggle and I’m in fear of losing my home. As someone who escaped a 12 year abusive relationship, this one hit hard. I kept it a secret from everyone till I laid it at the feet of Jesus. He opened the doors for me to escape and delivered me from the bondage I had been living with for so long. It also forced me to reveal the secret I had been concealing, which has been very difficult at times, but incredibly healing. Thank you for this episode 💕

This is my story too!! When I surrender my struggles to God, I told him I wanted a God loving man and children and to be part of his community. But I was isolated and trapped.. I got delivered, and I was sad like the people wondering around the dessert wanting to go back. But God asked me to change my perspective, and I started to see that this was a blessing.
Ang I just wanted to say from the bottom of my heart thank you. Because you allowed the Holy Spirit to move last time, He set me free from my eating disorder (the same one you struggled with). Thank you for your vulnerability. I cannot tell you the stories of things I went through, crying on the floor with a full stomach. Man, thank you for your work Ang. Thank you Holy Spirit.

I want to confess that lately I have been distancing myself from God and that led to my family and I getting spiritual attacked. It also gave room for sin to enter into heart again, which led to a repetitive cycle of sexual sin. And it's been hard for me to really come back to God bc of the shame and guilty. I really want to be set free from this and I pray in hope and faith to God that one day I will truly be set free from sexual sin. Thank you GGB
ive felt a slight disconnect from just being so busy all the time to sit down and make time with Him has been hard recently and ive noticed it makes me so targeted to commit sexual and verbal sin (I was doing really well with not swearing and had a few slips just yesterday because first time in a while I was around someone who isn’t a believer so I didn’t want to have worship music on and some songs would come up and I was shocked internally how it made me feel) the guilt and shame.

I’ve been dealing with sexual sin as well and I’m truly praying for you, I know the strain it can cause of feeling of guilt and shame. Just know you aren’t alone, and that with the power of god he will heal us and help us from this sin. That he will protect us from whatever spirit continues to taunt us and free us from it. I’m gonna say I’ve been praying, crying, pleading and feeling so hopeless. Like I am nothing in a sea of nothing sometimes and it makes me feel unable to go on. I’ve come to Jesus through y’all and I’ve been waking up in the middle of extrem panic attacks, OCD and depersonalization from anxiety attacks. I’ve been working on forgiving past traumas and on this new episode, you spoke exactly about what I’ve been going through. I froze when you mentioned “battle ground in his mind” and mentioned so many people going through exactly what I’ve been feeling with OCD, intrusive horrific thoughts etc. I feel that God gave me that sign that I can overcome this. I’ve been feeling so alone and isolated in this like I was a freak or a bad person. God is so good. Thank you for being so open all of the time because I NEEDED to hear that. He’s used your pain for so much good.
I want to confess that I let my mind meditate on thoughts that are not of the Lord. I have been getting better but could use prayer. Jesus, let my thoughts show your character of love, peace, and selflessness. Amen.

I am 25 years old and have struggled with a binging and purging eating disorder since I was 15. My husband that I have been with for 8 years does not know and I have been keeping this in the dark. Battling this sickness on my own for 10 years. Your last two videos have helped me so much and I will continue to pray for the road to victory because I know it is mine and Jesus will be with me along the way and I invite him to my life to put his hand on this struggle. I went to confession a few Saturdays ago, and still had sins to confess with the plan to confess at church on the following Saturday. A few days before that second Saturday, I had a dream where I was outside in the streets with some people I knew. And God was present as a massive ball of light in the night sky. And in the dream I heard a voice telling me to confess my sins, and with every confessed sin I rose higher and higher into the air, getting closer to God and His light with every sin I laid down.
I confessed that second Saturday days after that dream, the dream being a personal confirmation that confessing brings you closer to God.

This has to be one of my top 10 favorite episodes of Girls Gone Bible this episode was so powerful.
The Catholic Church does have the rite of the anointing of the sick, which is a sacrament. My brother's wife really benefitted from it when she was very sick with postpartum depression.
The Catholic Church also has priests praying over people and blessing them so I don’t know why Arielle was saying that there’s no such thing as praying over people in the Catholic Church. She’s ignorant on Catholicism. I bet she doesn’t even know her New Testament came from the Catholic Council of Rome.
They also have the body blood soul and divinity of Jesus literally

I can't thank you guys enough for your vulnerability. I absolutely cannot relate to social media influencers who put on this front their life is perfect in every way. It really is pride at it's root. Your humility is beautiful. I struggled with emotional abuse from family members and it destroyed my self esteem into adulthood. The locusts stole many years from me with anxiety, depression, alcohol, but Jesus continues to redeem my life everyday. Thank you Jesus and thank you to my sisters in Christ🙏

44:12 We serve a God who is omnipresent and outside of time. Never doubt the ability God has to go back to your past and heal something in the present. I say this because literally God healed me from something that happened almost 10 years ago that I had honestly forgotten about and thought I let go…But the God we serve is sovereign! And he wants to fully heal our past, present, and future self! Praise the Lamb of God!
Wow, Ari. Thank you for sharing. That’s awful. When I was raising my son and dating, luckily my son never saw anything but he did end up having a mom who was nearly killed in DV. This affected the mom I am for past 17 years. You are right. Our brains aren’t in a normal safe space! Correction-Catholic Churches and Priests are the one place people go when they need an Exorcism. They take it very seriously. I would also love to see more use the gift of deliverance in churches and make it more normalized.
Yes, I know some good Catholic Churches too, but I also know some Catholic Churches that are more like places to go just so you can check the box that you went to church this week... Exorcism has such a tainted view because of the movies, but I agree, demons were affecting people in Jesus's day and they were being cat out by the apostles - they didn't ask just go away - I would lie to hope that "fighting demons" / exorcism, could be more normalized - in the Catholic Church and in all Churches as well!

God brought you two together bc He knew with the anointing on you both that the enemy's attacks would be severe!! I have experienced the enemy's attacks and they are no joke. He can get into our head and make us feel bad, wrong, stupid, messed up, on and on. It feels like truth!! I know he does this yet the next attack comes and I sink into it for a time. Whoa I felt the Holy Ghost at the end when Ang went off ! I can’t even believe this because I have been confessing my sins to everybody the past year… then I read the verse about confessing your sins and ask for prayer and I was mind blown ! I went through full blown psychosis last year … just lost my mind but what the enemy meant for bad Jesus turned it right around bc now I have turned to God and fully surrendered. I just want to say you guys helped me get through the darkest times of my life .
I have been struggling with adhd and ocd and it can make you feel so alone… And not understanding why it’s happening. But I truly believe that confession is the key to healing. I think that this episode is one of the best ones you guys have ever done!😊

P.s. today, I was so anxious for no obvious reason - there's always something underneath, though, only by reading the Bible and saying a small pray repetitively calmed my mind.

I haven’t finished the episode just yet but Arielle you made a comment about how you couldn’t connect to the Catholic Church because of your experience with the lack of it being Spirit led. Catholics are in constant prayer for each other, confession, and acknowledge the sinner in us. We get a lot of hate for how much we believe in the power of intercession through The Spirit. I encourage and will be in prayer for you to gain new perspective and experience on The Church. Maybe if you ever get the opportunity to go to a Ordinariate mass that would be beneficial for you. They also believe in the intimacy of small parishes. It changed my entire life. I have never been close to Jesus as I am since becoming Catholic and I grew up Protestant. It hurts my heart when I hear pass experiences ruining the opportunities to for His children to truly grow in unity with Him and The Church. I love you girls so much.❤️

Agreed, I'm going through RCIA this year and I've experienced so much beauty in the Catholic Church. The reverence for God is far greater than any other church I've been to, every aspect of the mass is deeply connected to the bible and the faith. The unity in everyone reading the same passages as each other in the daily readings. The sacraments and sacramentals that draw you nearer to Jesus and the Father through the Holy Spirit. Obviously the sacrament of confession. And my favorite, all of the prayers you can use to pray for yourself or others, they are timeless, deep, reverent and effective. Ahhh I could go on and on. I wish they had Fr Mike on to discuss misconceptions of the Catholic faith. It would be so good!
@DommieDarling1 yes!!! Every single thing you said is why I am so in love with the Catholic Church as well!! There’s endless opportunities to discover more ways to get closer to Jesus, to pray for His people, to be led by the Spirit. What’s even more beautiful is that we get all these gifts with the added benefit of having evidence and history to back the Church. You get your faith explained to you better in the Catholic Church rather than just generalizing everything. I’ll be in prayer for you as you’re going through your steps to become Catholic! I went through the classes more than a year ago and it still fuels my belief and faith today. They have gotten alot better at RCIA classes. My Father said anyone who was in RCIA 10+ years ago need to be retaught because the people at the time didn’t teach it so it would stick and also the people in the classes didn’t care much either. That’s changing now!
And I LOVE THAT IDEA. I would love for Father Mike to educate them! He is such a good soul for them to bounce their questions off of and get solid answers.
With Catholicism I just don't understand why they must pray to saints to intercede to speak directly to God? Jesus died on the cross to give us the gift of the Holy Spirit to have a direct link to our Father God.
1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.
Also, the Catholic church has many statues or pillars of saints within.
Leviticus 26:1 “You shall not make idols for yourselves or erect an image or pillar, and you shall not set up a figured stone in your land to bow down to it, for I am the Lord your God

@@stephanieC2 you were not taught right. There is no “MUST pray to the saints to intercede to speak directly to God”. NONE. If you got taught that or seen that… you were not educated right or you saw something wrong.
The correct way is that we ASK for the saints to PRAY for us.. the way I would ask you… the way you would ask anyone. The reason why we can do that is because if you really understood what happens to us when we go to heaven… that we are more alive when we are in heaven then when we are on our earth… that intercession for our brothers and sisters does not end when we’re on earth. We ask for the saints to pray to JESUS so that Jesus then can intercede for us to God. The way it works with us.. we pray to Jesus for people so that He can intercede for us. The saints to do the same thing but because they’re RIGHT NEXT TO JESUS.. their prayers can be effective and powerful. They are part of the righteous in James 5. But you don’t ever have to ask for their prayers on your own as a Catholic… it’s a suggestion because it truly works but you don’t have to.
Also about the statues… you mentioned a scripture that has to do with IDOLS. We don’t have statues of idols. What we have are images and statues that honor GOD. In Exodus 25:18-20, God commands Moses to carve statues for a religious purpose: two cherubim which would sit atop the Ark of the Covenant.
We don’t think nor believe that the statues hold any kind of power. We make them to honor God. There are some people who can’t just close their eyes and pray. Some people need to stare at something to get into mood to pray sincerely… imagines and statues help us do that. Does not mean we think the images or statues hold power.. they just make us think about God better and see the reality and helps us focus rather than get distracted.

You girls have such a gift of inspiring hope and faith in others. I have always looked for women who I admire to look up to,and both of you are truly the epitome of grace. A warm glow of peace emanates from you both. This episode called me out. I have confessed half truths to those I love about my sins, but as a woman who struggles with lust and pornography the shame is extremely debilitating. Its led to compulsive thoughts, behaviors and guilt/shame to such an extent that I felt I lost my identity. I didn't recognize the person I was, and my ego was so centered around being a good person that the enemy took my mistakes and made me believe there is no redemption. I went to my first mass since I was 16 yrs old last Sunday, and when I got back home to our mooring field I was gifted with a rainbow so vivid that it looked like God had painted it himself in neon acrylic. Redemption. I hope I get to meet you guys someday and show you the picture, I don't think I would've been brave enough to go if it weren't for you!

I’m 17 All of last year I suffered a lot of abuse and severe anxiety and sadness and it’s been insufferable and I’ve been so alone. It’s been incredibly scary having to hide everything and stop harming myself but i’m feeling a lot better now Thank God. I have been struggling with spiritual warfare recently, about 2/3 months ago I made one of the biggest mistakes of my life, I took a drug called acid (LSD), it was way more than the usual doses people are known to take which led me to have an unwanted and scary experience which has been traumatising me since, I’ve been afraid to sleep at night, experiencing sleep paralysis, I’ve been attacked by demons in my dreams, felt presences, wet dreams recently, felt the sensation of death both in my dream and reality, and more, I’ve been keeping it all to myself because of shame and guilt in fact this is the first I’ve gone to this detail, I know I will get through this because no matter what I will love Jesus and he will forever be in my heart, the whole experience has just made me feel alone, your podcast has been helping, thank yous

In fact, I have seen people healed from cancer and lupus, and I have seen paralytics walk, including my own sister, I have seen deaths rise in name of Jesus Christ.Therefore, I encourage you to learn more about the charismatic movements within the Catholic Church before assuming that this kind of preyer doesn’t exist within our tradition.
Yes, we are conservative in some ways, but that is because we acknowledge that God deserves the highest level of respect that is why we try to be respectfull, as you mentioned at the beginning. However another point is that we also acknowledge that Good its a father and a friend and we can laugh, love, dance with him. Meaning that in a divine order we know that There is a time for everything: a time to pray in silence, a time to pray for each other and lay hands, a time to worship, and a time to read the Bible, a time to dance with the Holy Spirit, a time to meditate the sacrifices that he made by sending Jesus for our salvation (the holy mass). We use different tools and practices for different moments in our lives.
However, I believe that the Holy Spirit dwells in everyone, all the goodies that we have comes from the Holy Spirit I believe that we can't even say Amen without the Holy Spirit leaving in us as sons and members of the family of Jesus Christ. though there are different ways to express it in different churches. When I listen to you, I can hear the voice of God speaking through you, and I admire all that you have achieved.

I am so happy for you two to have found such a wonderful soul healing friendship. I don’t feel envy but I just think it’s unfortunate that this type of vulnerability isn’t possible between men in the masculine. As much as we need this kind of support it’s just not possible. You mentioned the suppression and how it makes you sick. That’s something we have to deal with no matter what happens. I’m not trying to be a victim but this is what brought me to god after 33 years of living. I know that this is a RUclips comment but I truly haven’t had anywhere to release this pain. The devil has been literally trying to kill me, to kill my spirit, to bury me in shame throughout the abuse and betrayal in my last relationship, and the mindnumbing pain I have felt afterwards. Every time I speak to god if I am alone I weep. If I am around others I instantly get a knot in my throat thinking about god and the love that has always been there for me but I turned away from it. I am so thankful to have submitted myself to him. I have submitted to him only a couple of weeks ago. I know I am a man amongst a lot of women here in the comments but I truly do love and enjoy seeing and hearing the love and support of powerful feminine women. We are so different in many ways but it’s just beautiful how you two speak to one another, how you love openly, and for your willingness to be vulnerable. I now see why it is so valuable to seek out a god fearing woman.

It actually was confirmation bc earlier this week I felt strongly like I needed to confess the bondage I was in and afterwards we prayed and my friend spoke the Truth over that area and I cried and then I was delivered. I’ve have recently fallen back into struggling with p**n addiction. It’s really been tormenting me and giving me the feeling of worthlessness. From times I’ve thought about suicide because I’ve listened to the lies from the devil telling me that’s what I deserve. Day after day is a constant fight of just trying not to give into the temptation. Thank you both for letting God speak through you and helping me find the courage to confess this. I can confess to God but it’s just harder to confess to other people about this. I love you all and Jesus loves you ❤

Want to clarify that Catholics do laying of the hands too, not sure where the misinformation came from that we don't, but misinformation can spread so fast, so hope to help break that chain here. Catholics aren't limited to healings with priests, we actually heal each other too, by invoking the Holy Spirit. It is called charismatic healing.

I just wanna let you guys know that this video goes exactly with where I’m at and what I’m dealing with and the week I’m having directly. Like exactly. Word for word, I’ve been having so many conversations about confession and the necessity of it and I’ve been confessing. The Holy Spirit is moving so hardcore and it’s so exciting. In the middle of this video I had to pause and pray and cry cause I never realized how alone I’ve felt, like how I’ve never actually had a true best friend- but you guys have given me a sense of being understood and belonging that I’ve never before had so thank you. I’m 19 and have been a Christian my whole life but I have struggled with porn addiction, depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, self harm addiction, eating disorders. Basically every mental health struggle you can think of and Jesus has healed me from almost all of it I still struggle but Jesus is my rock and this podcast has been so monumental in my walk with God and I thank you ang and arie so much.

i grew up with alcohol and physical abuse as well my whole life and struggle with finding self worth even still and going thru heartbreak for a long long time and going thru the motions I know God has released it and sometimes it comes back and i pray and cry to Him then i feel lifted.
i surrendered to God in March and things have gotten so much better with the way i think and act and my heart

Thank you for this beautiful episode. I broke down and cried. I confess to being addicted to social media, always trying to be like someone else. I make idols out of people every day. It feels like I cannot stand on my own feet, I must always try to act like someone else. It's been such a difficult and hard burden to carry. I've tried quitting social media and youtube many times, but it feels like it's not the answer, because I also find so much wisdom there and connection (like through this video). So I'm not sure what the answer is. I would be happy to hear anyone's advice on this!
Oh, Ari how I wish I could give you a hug! I take comfort in knowing Jesus hugs you though. I left my abusive ex bf years ago (before I got saved) because I was terrified of getting of pregnant and having a daughter who had to see her mom be abused and had to be abused herself. Abuse really is so demonic and I cry thank yous to Jesus for saving me from it, when I was so unworthy and so far from Him. But I always think that survivors of abuse have the gentlest hearts and you really truly do. Thank you for being vulnerable enough to share that. It means so much 🩷

i'm 16 and ive been dealing with such scary intrusive thoughts that are so negative that i constantly dwell on them day after day because i feel like there is no end to it. this negative mindset has caused me to become socially anxious, insecure and just become so stuck in my head about everything which prevents me from taking care of my health. this has also affected my school and social life. thank you guys so much for this episode. ive been in bondage for so long. So much here in this video I felt and I’m still processing 😭😭😭😭 But I wanna try to pray over myself and for anyone who needs it: God, I pray over myself and anyone about the things we fear talking about, and bringing to the light. Please come into our hearts and make yourself known to us. Anything that gets in the way of that is silenced and canceled! Please release more opportunities for us to experience your grace during time of suffering & healing. As humans, we’ll go insane trying to understand everything that you do. It’s just not possible. And even if we may not accept or understand, we know you work in mysterious ways. And you don’t want to see us suffer. But within our suffering we know you will never leave us and will be there till the end. So any kind of sickness, hereditary illness, disease, pain, turmoil, insecurities, anxiety, depression, fear, hate, etc, does not belong to us! And I command it leave our body, mind, spirit. & rebuke it back to the gates of hell!We are healed, healthy, & whole by the precious blood of Jesus who took a stripe of every fear, sickness, disease, etc. So God. You are so lovely, so beautiful. Continue to find ways for us to encounter you because this is an “I get to” not a “I got to”. Even within all of our phases, you still choose us.
