If it's something I can't diagnose or repair, because I am a mechanic and I have it analyzed, I don't understand why people just don't go ahead and say this up front to the mechanic, just go ahead and fix it... And if it's something electronic, OEM. And as I am a mechanic, I go ahead and I shake their hand and say thank you... And throw an, I'm in no rush and I've never seen a mechanic shop never turn down morning donuts brought to them...

Im a retired mechanic and I have learned from Kenny! I have no problem laying ego and pride to the side to learn new tricks. I got my door hinge repaired on my 2000 s 10. The door pin I had steel bushings made for the pin. That fixed the inside hinge and the outside hinge I found an old lawn mower blade that had 2 holes drilled in it besides the mount hole. That hole was the same size as the door pin so I cut that piece out and shaped it. I jacked the door up and laid that part in on top of the outer hinge and welded it in. I can close the door with one finger. I saw a video of a person cutting and drilling to replace the hinge and I was like Im not doing that. I thought I would share this to give ideas to people.

I have a Nissan Kicks - very similar car. I had BOTH front wheel bearings go at 50k miles, at the SAME time as well. They were a pain because they are pressed-in bearings (no hub-unit). They try to sell you complete steering knuckles, with the bearings, for twice the price - but you can pickup the bearings separately - which I'm hoping will last longer than another silly 50k miles!
Yup. If you get a miss fire as it's shifting it can delay the shift or if the shift already occurred, cause a down shift. The customer feels this and thinks that the transmission is not working properly. Good stuff. CVT s are not my favorite either.

One "problem" with the CVT's is that the manufacturers said that fluid service was not required.
They are changing that now, but it's to little to late for the earlier (pre 2020?) units.
are you kidding? the CVT fluid swap notices are all over the manual for my Juke (a first year '11), and I sure intend to make sure she gets a flush...i think it lasted longer than expected because the previous owner was long distance commuting from a city county (the remnants of an emissions sticker, only mandated in city counties, is on my windshield), and the fact I haven't quite put 20 K on it, yet.

Have a 2015 Toyota Vios and it was making a terrible noise at certain speeds, was concerned it was the CVT Transmission. Turned out to be a wheel bearing and upper motor mount.

At the beginning it sounded like you said 161,000 miles. The printout says 261,000 miles. That’s a lot of miles for a 4 banger. I would also be interested to know if you think those new coils are cheaply made. Would tell me if the customer is willing to bring the car to good maintenance status or just throw duct tape at it.
I only get that bearing style noise when she's in manual shift mode. I'm more worried about this "loose" feeling in the front right; the ball joints were swapped last December, and I don't think these guys tightened things correctly.

Sometimes because of engine missfire or engine running lean also cause this engine speed code on these nissan in rare case its pcm internal fault cause this as i work alot on these pesky nissans

Time is money - you pay for the time for diag and then the time for repair plus parts - at least in my world - sounds fair?
@@mrbigvanlife7130 well in the industry I’m in we don’t do that. One fee regardless. We waive the fee if we get the work. If not we are paid for our time. I had an Audi back in the day now I can understand for that twisted metal of German engineering. But to hook it up to a scanner and see what’s wrong then to say ok 200.00 plus 500.00 for the repair is crazy and that’s not including me getting the parts
There is never any actual testing in these videos just some old guy riding around making calls based off of codes read. I thought there would be more from this channel.
