Soo Locks close on Jan 15th. This will be everyone's last run with cargo, then they will go to winter layup. I'm not sure where the Lee is gonna layup though. There are already a few ships laid up.
The LEE A. is heading down below for a well deserved rest, and thank you , Paul, for your excellent videos, throughout the season, in all kinds of weather, and you, too, have earned a well deserved rest. So, put the camera down, grab a glass of your favorite libation, and enjoy the winter. Thank you! 3 L, 2 S from Green Bay.
I had a good laugh at Missouri's skipper commenting on the thin ice and then making a quick "better not say too much and jinx myself" follow up. The "Knock on wood" by Lee A Tregurtha's captain was the icing on the cake. Thank you for including conversations between the different lakers and tugs. It helps me appreciate them even more by giving me a glimpse into the daily workings of the crews on these important freighters and tugs.
Lovely! A fine vessel, the ice cracking all at twilight with the remnants of the day backlighting her departure under the bridge..
Great shots to record her last load of the season. The lighting as she passes under the lift bridge is awesome. Thanks Paul.
The winter colors and the old girl can take you back to a simpler time.
Nothing beats the classic freighters.
Beautiful lights on the ship, great sunset
A little ice and cold temperatures can't slow down the battle tested Lee A Tregurtha...⚓📣💪
What a fabulous backdrop to an elegant exit!
Those shots at 3:28, 4:23 and 5:50 are fabulous! And next week, the ice will be thick!
Thanks! You are right! It will getting pretty solid in the Harbor soon!
OHHH that was nice. Sounds of the ice a great horn salute and nice radio chatter. Thank you Paul for always sharing these videos
Wow, I'm surprised the season is still going with so much ice!😮😮😮😮
Wrapping up tomorrow!

No ice on the horn, strong salute!
Indeed, turned on the horn heater....
This might be my favorite video of the season! Thanks for all the great shots!
Such awesomeness! 🧡💙
Beautiful video, thank you❤
This ship as it passed under the bridge reminded me of the Discovery from the 2001 and 2010 Space Odyssey movies.
