I believe that many western girls will do it. I don't know if many girls from that country would do it. As you can see the girls from the city in this video could barely help out. This is just a unique situation with Felista. There are many western girls who work on farms. I grew up in the south with gardens all my life and I worked in them. We had chickens as well. I think if they lived in the country, they would find a way to get the work done. It's just that many women don't have to work as hard these days. I look forward to the days when I can return to country life and work a garden again and I am from the west. If Felista lived in the city, she probably wouldn't have to work so hard.

Today's video makes so homesick though I have been in the US for four decades. Before I left Malaysia for overseas, I was dubbed as "Durian Queen." I could eat this King of Fruits every day or every meal. Felista and Lao Li, try chilling the durian in the fridge and eat with rice (nicer if eating the rice/durian with hand). Yummilicious! I love the way the little princess enjoying the durian and starting to be more verbal than when I first started watching this channel. Dou Dou and grandpa seem to be testing the taste of this fruit. Durians are expensive in America. Your bamboo shoots bring me back to Malaysia. I miss the fresh bamboo shoot dishes cooked by my late mom. The dog barking reminds me of the countryside in Malaysia when visiting relatives and friends. A real nostalgia down the memory lane!

Wow, so kind of Lao Li to buy durians for you. As Felista said, durians are very expensive in China, also must be quite scarce in rural areas.
Chrissie Ng, It is very very expensive to import top grade musang king durians (one of the top varieties of durians) so the Chinese being one of the world's best biz brains cultivated their own in Hainan island off the coast of southern China. It has a tropical climate,almost like that of durian's native countries of Malaysia and Indonesia (I won't mention Thailand bcs durian is not native to Thailand and the varieties they grow are lol. Imagine plucking a durian from the tree before it ripens. The fruit has to ripen on the tree and drop by itself before it can smell heavenly).
After some years China now is able to produce prime quality durians bcs rich Chinese have developed a taste for this truly expensive but heavenly fruit. I think the plantations in Hainan island have harvested more than once already.
I wonder what variety of durians Lao Li had bought.
Once upon time I had such a loving grandpa who made wooden toys for me. These videos really take me along on happy memory lane as these children will do in future.

It reminded me when I was younger back home in the Philippines -did bamboos & planted rice, etc, raising Philippines carabao similar to buffalo. We use them plowing the farm. It was a very hard farming life. Now living in America i have learned a lot & appreciates what I have. I used my life experiences good & bad as a tool to be a better person.
