  • Great hose, when dealing with 63lbs nozzle reaction with a 50psi back pressure leads to excellent performance. Now this example has increased the back pressure by 25psi with the same 160gpm@50psi nozzle pressure and 63 lbs reaction force. In other words a 75psi back pressure with all the advantages of the 50psi nozzle pressure. It is possible with the HEN Turbo 160gpm Back Pressure Increaser.
HEN Turbo, Back Pressure Increaser, A Large Problem Solver
160gpm@50psi@60lbsRF, with a 75psi Inlet Back Pressure Addresses These Issues:
    1. Nozzle Bite, easier stiffer/handling, leads to better water placement.
    2. Reduces Nozzle (Weight / RF) & Hose (Construction) induced whip in the Small Handline sizes.
    3. Kinks, less likely to form, +25psi higher Initial PDP knocks kinks out on initial charge.
    4. PDP, 25psi greater, leads to no gating = easier to pump. A large P/O aid, and a panel that reads more accurately. Proper pumping reduces excessive nozzle reaction issues. This ensures 1.75-inch handlines are bailed down in compensation.
    5. Net pump pressure issues / gating during pressure source transfer greatly reduced or eliminated. Pressure Governor, more likely to function properly with higher initial required PDP in common 200 1.75-inch Handline with 75psi Backpressure. (Assists with Booster Back Up)
    6. 75psi Backpressure, allows 50psi NP 85fps low reaction force 150 to 185gpm flows, on almost all adequately constructed 1.75-1.9-inch hoseline designs, except those designed for 100psi only. Solves large issues, for Fire Departments who want to move to GPM focused low reaction force nozzles (50psi NP@60lbsRF) with handline hose fleet issues. Allows change to 50psi NP Hose Design to Occur in a Sequential Manner, Deliberate Manner in Hose Fleet
    7. Makes 50psi designed 1.75” hose in 50psi NP performance go from excellent to outstanding in all the above Turbo Charge your 50psi Nozzle Attack Packages.
HEN Turbos and Bladed Nozzles are Simple Mechanical Solution Based Systems to the Most Common Problems with Handle Fire Stream Development in the Fire Service from Human Performance Factors to Physics based Realities:
    • The Turbo Address Known Issues in Handline Hose and Pumping Hydraulics.
    • The Blade/Tight Streams Address Known Application & Suppression Characteristics/Dynamics Issues in Fire Streams
Aid and Streamline your Pump Operator, Back-up Positions and Nozzles members’ work, regarding all their Critical Handline Operations. These Products are Mission Focused by Design.
HEN Turbos have your suppression staff covered from rig to shut off, and a HEN Bladed Nozzle has them covered from Tip of Nozzle to Seat of the Fire, with Enhance Coverage, Cooling Contraction plus Easy of Application.
