Great stuff, love the idea of altering ground level roads! The author of TMPE is working on a followup and there is a Prop Line Tool mod being made, but sadly these can't be released publicly yet. Also Move It is deep in development.
Haven't *convinced* myself to wrangle the manual mod loading process instead of waiting for the official route...but...that traffic light mod is *tempting*...
this is so helpful because i've wanted the infinite demand mod given i just want to build cities and have them immediately populate, it really should be a feature already built into the game.
Sorry i missed the premium but amazing video! Im already in love with the Legacy Flavors Mod, the traffic light mod, and the tool tip mod. Been using those for a few days. Just learned about the road upgrades mod, thank you for sharing.
Good clear explanations on the mods. I'm glad to see you shouting out the Discord. I hope that everyone plays nice and makes good use of it as I think it can really help modders, creators, and users find, use, and solve problems with mods. We need a good CS2 community as we try to make sense out of this new product.
All of this should have been in the base game. The devs had years of data from CS1 mod usage on the Steam Workshop and could easily see what mods were deemed essential by players (move it, tmpe, prop line tool, BOB etc) & put those in the base game. The devs have been incredibly lazy in improving on Cities 1, relying on people being so dissatisfied with the jank that they have to take things into their own hands to make the game playable. The devs have built a barely functioning framework that modders will actually make into a playable game. I'm honestly looking forward to another studio creating a game to really challenge the monopoly CO have on city builders to force some actual innovation and competition into the genre, because atm there is no incentive for CO/Paradox to have to battle for gamer's money.
I don't think lazy is the way to see it, honestly. Sure, a lot of this should have been in game and there could have been many improvements. It's not meant to be an improvement on Cities 1, that's not fair to it. It is a new platform entirely. Personally, I just think it is severely rushed. I don't disagree that much of the stuff even I expected are not included; however, I think we should always expect mods with something like this because I think modders can do a solid job with upkeep.
I want to use these mods so bad! but when i download nepinex and then extract it into my cities skylines 2 folder exactly like u tell us to do in this video, i go into cities skylines likes u said and makesure i go right into the second menu and then i quit xities and then i go and check to see if the folders have populated and they are never there!! WWAAAHHH!!
@@googlesketchy7413 i finally got mods to work by downloading thunderstore mod manager... u just download them ib the manager and launch the game from there
Thunderstore is not working great for me just opens up a blank black window can not even close it with out using task manager, so I am just lost, as to why it is not working, I tried running it in admin, nothing still the same thing, it worked before I added the mods and now it will not even open, you guys were not kidding that it is not even in an alpha state.
to complicated! I've extracted the BepExIn folder in "cities skylines 2" and now I have completely different folders. Plugin Folder is missing. Stuff like this never works out
As I mentioned in the video, you need to run the game after extracting the Bep folder into your CS2 folder. Close the game and the plugins folder should be within the Bep folder.
Devils advocate- So is there anywhere to get assistance when there is an issue(s) with these or is just don't load them. My first go round was positive but after a few days it went south and I got a screen "blue" with a 20 or so lines of complete and total BS.
I'm using mods in CS2, but every time I go lay a road I get an error message, I've tried disabling all the mods, then add them 1 at a time through the thunderstore app, but still get the error message, and can't play the game with the mods, AT ALL, is anyone else getting this error?
@@Slay3K I just deleted all the mods, and then downloaded a few, but not the intersection one, and it seems to be working for now, thanks for getting back though.

if you have only "Core" folder, try downloading for windows and not for Linux ;)

I've only had one error and I think it was related to the intersection mod being out-of-date since the new update to CS2.

I extract mods into a plugin folder but BepInex still wont load any of them. He act like he cant see them. Playing CS without mods is not worth it :/
