I love Alan, though he has blemished the history of QUO in this interview by saying they became QUO in 1962 after a few name changes. Whereas they became STATUS QUO in August 1967. They were The Scorpions, The Spectres, Traffic Jam & The Status Quo before 1967. They dropped 'The' from their name when Rick Parfitt joined in 1967. I've recently read that they were never called the Scorpios. Also the, The in The Status Quo was dropped in 1969, but the record lable continued to use it that year.
