Wing chun is an amazing martial arts to learn, despite its reputation. One of the martial arts taught to me had some wing chun influences in it i guess and i started to dabble into it more. It's amazing what you'll see your body can do in close quarters. You'll se angles that you wouldnt usually see in other martial arts. My opponents can sometimes get caught off guard since i my stance looks the typical kick boxing type initially. One even commented "how could you hit while blocking at the same time". I really love the parries that you'll learn with it its my favorite aspect. You wont need to worry about power too in close quarters because wing chun also puts emphasis in shifting weight which amplifies your hits' power when you can't make the usual once that you get mid or long range. I'm not a pure wing chun practitioner but learning its basic principles certainly help. That's why my king is the Gojoat.
The "puts emphasis in shifting weight which amplifies your hits' power" makes wing chun even more fitting for gojo. It all makes sense, gojo does everything to make his punches hit as hard as possible, even infusing them with blue on top of it, which just shows why gojo is considered the best hand to hand fighter in the verse along with kenjaku. Bro hitting opponents so hard even RCT doesnt properly heal the pain. It also makes sense why "gojo's punches feel like being hit by counters"

If you're interested in the pronunciation for some of these martial arts: -Pencak Silat is pronounced (Pen-chak See-lat) -Bajiquan (Ba jee chee-yuan). It's actually three words in mandarin, with the "Quan" part just meaning "fist" literally, but means something more like "unarmed style". Also, all the -jutsu arts are not "ways of", they are more like "Arts", or "Techniques" (e.g. Kenjutsu is Sword Art); whereas the -do of Kendo would be "way of the sword". From what I understand, -Jutsus are more practically oriented (and tend to be older); whereas -Do are more culturally oriented (and tend to be post-WW2).

Anime needs to take the really fancy real life styles in MMA. Ryan Hall would literally throw spinning jumping tumbling kicks with impunity because his leglock game and general grappling was immaculate. Imagine if Yuji used that instead. Nothing but roling thunders, tumbling axe kicks and ballerina spin kicks. The moment the unsuspecting opponent tries to take advantage of him on the ground, SNAP, dude breaks a limb with a submission hold and without missing a beat proceeds to break another until Yuji feels like he can ground and pound with impunity.

I agree with this video 100% and sukuna not being the best at h2h is made so much sense since he could just point his finger at the opponent and boom saikoro and yet he's still a beast at h2h
Shouldn’t kenjaku be in the same tier as gojo though as gege said they were roughly equal in hand to hand combat ? ( I guess geto ‘s body really wasn’t doing him any favours in that department, especially against yuki lol)

I do kickboxing and muay Thai and since I'm watching over jjk I just realized some of yuji movements were so similar to some of mine so I had to do my research, didn't realized he had a mixed of those😯
love the video however i dont believe that sukuna is physically weaker in megumi than in yuji. We saw sukuna have traits of his "heavenly restriction" skills like jumping in the air in megumis body. Once he takes over his traits of his original body; like the 2nd mouth or his traits of a heavenly restriction take over as well. I dont think that yujis physical strength is added to sukunas physical strength+ he was a 20 finger strenght during gojos fight, he compensated the missing finger with his mumified corpse

Honestly jjk is the only anime that gives me real life mma vibes as they combine martial arts with their curse techniques and use different ways to outsmart their enemies on the fly. So badass. Gojo in my opinion is def the best martial artist right next to Toji and yuji and hell even Miguel. His Boxing is crisp
Fun Fact: Kenjaku and Gojo have equal Martial Arts Technique - Sukuna is more barbaric unless he is pressured so even if he is physically stronger than Gojo in his normal body he still would get hit more
Nice Video, instant like! Small correction, it's called pencak silat like in the word check. not penkak silat like in cake. in the netherlands, they spell it pentjak silat. btw, I train pencak silat harimau
@@Thesenshin7 I highly recommend it! If u want to be a fighter, do something else like boxing or muay thai. If you want to learn to end a confrontation as quickly as possible by any means necessary...silat is the way to go! I wouldn't stand a chance against any hard trained fighter but against most blokes, it's just devestating. The Raid movies are unrealistic in a sense that a confrontation with someone good in pencak silat wouldn't last longer than a few seconds. you directly attack eyes, break extended arms and elbows, punches to the stomach, throat and liver etc.
@@Thesenshin7 also, due to its tribal warfare history, it's still clean in a sense that it's pressure tested. In fact, 90% of the stuff I've learned in my first lesson works better if the attacker resists as much as possible. Love this video, just by judging off by the way the anime expands scenes your placements could change? and just while reading the manga; I thought Kashimo was really good at counter attacking, using very lethal attacks and compensating for power differences almost entirely with skill considering he went a full life without using a cursed technique. what does martial’s could he have used?
Bil Jee is a form Si lim Tau is a form Chain punches pak sau strikes etc It’s just wing chun going crazy after the guard is removed. They’re called chain punches, generally.
the video was awesome but i gotta say , dont you think that toji would be a bit higher up on the tier list . the guy trained from the age of 7 , i think he has shown a bit of this in other episodes of jjk
I’d hav to disagree & say Sukuna is S class in martial arts skill given he was able to not only defend but successfully shutdown Yuji & awakened Maki at the same time & it has to be mentioned this happened just minutes after taking over megumi’s body who was actively severely limiting Sukuna CE output at the same time. Reason why I’d say he’s S class is because Sukuna’s natural body was compared to a heavenly restriction body during the Shinjuku gauntlet, which means physically he’s superior to pretty much everyone except for Yuji(gojo is powerful but as kusukabe stated he utilizes his Blue in his h2h style alot so he’s kinda buffing himself). Now skill level he’s still below gojo but he’s even wit yuji & the fact he was able to develop a fighting style around just 2 arms when he’s naturally use to using 4 along wit his massive size shows he’s genius in learning martial arts like gojo. I agree he’s below awakened Yuji & gojo skill wise but he’s definitely S class level since he defeated nearly every sorcerer wit close combat before using his CT to fully take them out of the fight. Other than that your analysis was impeccable, loving your channel bro

The second I saw Martial arts and JJK I knew I had to watch this
Boy you did *not* disappoint
Hope to see some more great content
Glad the expectations were met ! thanks for watching
Its so much better to watch an anime where the fights are actually fights and not flying around each other and colliding like bumper cars
This is also why I love the fights in demon slayer as well. You can actually see the choreo, instead of just two flashing lights going at each other
THE MOST UNDERRATED JJK, HELL, MANGA CHANNEL EVER!!! I watched your subtle horror of jjk video and I subbed, thinking you had like at the very least 30-40K subs!!!
APPRECIATE THE LOVE ! 🗣️🗣️🗣️ Glad you enjoy the videos !
If you're interested in the pronunciation for some of these martial arts:
-Pencak Silat is pronounced (Pen-chak See-lat)
-Bajiquan (Ba jee chee-yuan).
Thanks a lot for the info !
There is no silat or baji in this show. It's all japanese MA and wing chun for the dude with blue eyes. No Kung fu, no silat, all UFC octagon stuff.
@@Xannyphantom905 Baji is in the manga, maybe you have not read it
@@Thesenshin7 I saw the shoulder strike. That's just 1 move that's popular in Japan because of virtua fighter. Bayonetta does that move but she doesn't know bajiquan.
If there was a JJK video that I wish I could've made, this is it. MMA nerdery at its finest, styles and moves galore, absolutely love it.
Love to hear !
Glad you liked it
I remember that once gege was asked about who was the best in hand to hand fighting and his answer was a draw between gojo and kenjaku. Not sure though
Edit: it was toji and maki as number one then gojo and kenny as number 2
I wanna that the sukuna vs gojo fights gets animated with the help of pro fighters
We need to get everyone on that fight
this is a good topic! And about the martial arts specifically! I don't know why I haven't seen something like this from big channels especially in regards to jjk. Like they always talk about the jumping and combat stuff but never into where the martial arts came from. You're doing great
Toji did one click an he’s on S tier
Respect.
There's a lot more room to use wing chun and kung fu without getting your ass beat when your ass can't be beat
Yuji's cursed technique: got that DAWG in him.
Has to be one of the best through out the series
My favorite
God, I was just thinking the other day how much I wanted somebody to make a video like this.
Make it
@@Thesenshin7 I mean honestly? I was thinking about how I'd make a video about this topic. I'm broke right now, but I'm working towards improving that and I like thinking about how I'll do it if I ever can.
Your video turned me on to a lot of details I missed, like Sukuna being more focused on karate and Gojo using other Chinese martial arts besides Wing Chun. You made a great video that's got your own unique identity all over it, so I hope someday I can make one that's got my own perspectives and aesthetics, too.
Thanks for the motivation!
@@Yggdraseed ey go for it man, hope everything gets better for you and whenever you start making content, you find your own voice and enjoy the stuff
When I started I used an old iPhone 8 microphone and old weak Mac
Upgraded later on to a 30$ mic
And now I use a 200$ mic and a powerful pc
(Not that I make money from RUclips, not even monetized)
But You can start anywhere and get better equipment later in so don’t be held back by. Any of that
Finally, someone’s picking up on this topic
Sorry for the wait !
These videos about martial arts in media are always so goated because I know nothing about actual martial arts so I don't get any of these specific details when watching fighting scenes, so having someone explaining what is being shown and the logic behind it all gives a completely new perspective that makes me appreciate it more. And JJK also has some of my favorite fighting choreography ever, so even better.
Goated video my man, loved it ❤
Thanks a lot ! Really appreciate you
Great vudeo brother. Love these media analysis with irl fighting nerds

Ive been searching for a video like this for a while and my recommended page decided to bless me. Awesome vid man.
Awesome! Thank you!
I agree with this video 100% and sukuna not being the best at h2h is made so much sense since he could just point his finger at the opponent and boom saikoro and yet he's still a beast at h2h
Finally a video highlighting this
I dig the choice of background music. You made me want to play Furi again lol.
Nice lol
i love anime analysis that ain't power scaling fr

@@Thesenshin7 hehe thanks
Shouldn’t kenjaku be in the same tier as gojo though as gege said they were roughly equal in hand to hand combat ? ( I guess geto ‘s body really wasn’t doing him any favours in that department, especially against yuki lol)
Probably. Gojo’s reach is insane too
When was that stated?
Yeah, I think gege did state that Kenjaku and Gojo were basically equal, i think kenny should be in ss tier
@@shuggs. when was this stated???????
@@shuggs. too bad we never got that much outta him
He was too playful and curse manipulation doesn’t let him get too handy
7:58 why he so freaky bruh 💀
The lightskin final boss
9:50 sukuna was at 20f power during the fight. he ate hes own corpse part to make up for 1f power in chapter 222
correction: sukuna had 19 fingers, but bcs he ate his own mummy corpse his power is equal to 20 fingers
It was never said to be "equal" i think he just supplemented himself.
so probably a boost of CE but not getting him back to full strength. the author would've emphasized it i think
@@Thesenshin7Sukuna himself said that the worth was the same.
@@chyumiming.And even if it wasn't the same, Sukuna would still be at something like 19.5 fingers. Not a big difference, specially when he had such a busted technique like the 10 Shadows to compensate
ive been waiting for a video like this for a while! I really enjoy JJK's fight choreography and was hoping someone would make a deep dive for some time. Thanks for making this video 🙏🙏

I appreciate that! glad you enjoyed them
This mans pronunciation is so good it is brings a tear to me left eye
I have no idea whether you're joking or not lol
@Thesenshin7 nah I am telling the truth it's so good I have heard other ppl absolutely butcher Japanese words or words that need a specific accent. Yours actually makes me genuinely happy
@@Behs434 Glad to hear that. Thanks !
I just love how kenjaku is so good at dodging and redirecting everything that comes his way. You don’t live for over a thousand years in weak bodies with shoddy techniques (given that he only kept his og technique, yujis moms technique, and getos) without learning how to survive everything.
This is soooo cool!!!!!! I'm in love with Martial Arts since i'm a kid (i used to do Karate for a while) and i love Choso so sooo much!!!! I'm grateful that made this analysis about all their Martial Arts techniques, it's so cool that Choso and Noritoshi both use the same karate type :D maybe that fighting style was also passed down through the Kamo Bloodline, which is the reason why Choso knows about it while never got teached in it. Plus, he's a natural talent and prodegy 😌🤭. Even though i still wonder how he honed his techniques and even created Supernova in his Cursed Object form. Maybe it alm happened in his mind, or he already possessed something like an inner domain in which he trained.
10:08 Kamo Boys!!!! 🥹😭😭😭😭
10:12 Is it called Shotei?
Yeah Shotei
Choso is simply the goat
@@Thesenshin7 Oh nice, thanks!!!! Yes he is!!!! 🥹🥹🥹🥰🥰🥰🥰 Can't wait for a certain fight of him in Season 3, there will hopegully even more content in the anime again and maybe a part 2 of this might be possible 🥰🥰🥰
Honestlt I just wanna srr something with stupidly in depth magical/super powet martial arts.
Like look at Ajin for example, that has my favourite way to just use superpowers in the most efficent and best way possible
omg I just recognised the furi out at 6:28
yessir !
Some additional points is that Yuji was seen using some BJJ moves in the manga, specifically an armbar against sukuna
True ! i mentioned his grappling skills but didn't go in depth about them in the video because his section got too long.
Mechamaru had hands for like one hour and still is not f tier 😅
I rated a humanoid mechamaru abilities lol
No hands but Better than the Fs
@@Thesenshin7 🙄😂
The last strike he does with his own hands against mahito goes so hard
Idk the martial utility of it but that was such a raw emotional scene with so little build up screen time
So tragic Kyoto students didn't get to see him as he he is
And people say gege don't know how to write
I don't why I went to this side tangent but yea

That last attack was a reference to Gurren Lagann (my all time favorite anime) the studio payed tribute by animating it in its style too
He was thrusting what Is mimics a drill
And matching the intensity and emotion
So basically it goes beyond martial arts

Dope Vid. my guy!!! props!
Appreciate it!!
Megumi didn’t debuff sukuna yuji was literally a physical monster so sukuna got to his physical base when he got megumi and he also ate his corpse to make up for the last finger saying he is at 20 fingers
Wing chun, boxing, taido karate are the actual martial arts references I see being used
Yeah they’re the ones mentioned basically
Kusakabe also did some Judo in the Manga samely he threw someone with a harai-goshi

i still believe that the amount of subs you have for the content you make is criminaly low my man

p.s the sukuna glazing is reallllll
THE SUKUNA GLAZIN WILL NEVER STOP ✋!!!!!!

Thanks for watching !
half way through vid now. this is interesting and a unique video about jujutsu kaisen. You'll get more followers
Thank you !
I do kickboxing and muay Thai and since I'm watching over jjk I just realized some of yuji movements were so similar to some of mine so I had to do my research, didn't realized he had a mixed of those😯
underrated channel
love the video however i dont believe that sukuna is physically weaker in megumi than in yuji.
Thanks for the comment !
@@Thesenshin7 Casting that aside man i loved your analysis of this since ints so underapreciated. I sincerely hope your channel catches on and becomes even more popular!

Br0000tal axe kick by Todo.
Joe Rogan went crazy that night
Gojo looks like yuki when he's fighting sukuna hand to hand
Im more of a ultra ofensive characters so i love yuji and yuki so much.
I would love for you to overanalyze domain expansions. In my personal opinion Naoyas domain is even more lethal than Gojo and Sukunas domain
hmmmm interesting idea... we can uncover the mythology and lore of the domains
11:09 who made this 💀
Fun fact: Gege Akutami once mentioned that Gojo and Kenjaku are equals in terms of hand-to-hand combat (without CE)
Read or watch Kengan Ashura
@@Thesenshin7 def will
Gojo’s punch to Uraume looks a lot like Bruce Lee’s one inch punch.
In summary, every one listed is no slouch 😂
yes
Fun Fact: Kenjaku and Gojo have equal Martial Arts Technique
- Sukuna is more barbaric unless he is pressured so even if he is physically stronger than Gojo in his normal body he still would get hit more
For your next vid, you should over analyze the martial arts of Sakamoto days!!!
Funny enough, i just took a break from editing a Sakamoto days video lol
Not about martial arts tho...

“Bumgumi Body Debuff”

The strongest Heien era debuff
Nice Video, instant like! Small correction, it's called pencak silat like in the word check. not penkak silat like in cake. in the netherlands, they spell it pentjak silat. btw, I train pencak silat harimau
Thanks for the info ! would love dabble in it one day too inshlh
A simply armbar/armlock with enough momentum breaks the elbow of the attacker easily in silat.
@@mb2776 i'm not a beginner at all
i already trained in Muay Thai, Boxing and some kickboxing. a lil Kung fu at some point too mainly Wing Chun

Interested in Pencak Silat because it looks cool as fuck and soon i might relocate and live in Indonesia for some time
First vid, good stuff. Subscribing

Wing Chun mainly
i love overanalyzing fight choreo raahhh

the video was awesome but i gotta say , dont you think that toji would be a bit higher up on the tier list . the guy trained from the age of 7 , i think he has shown a bit of this in other episodes of jjk
He would be technically no less of not superior to Maki but like I said we simply never got to see any of that
@@Thesenshin7 hmm agreed .

Yuji in SS, Kenjaku in S and Choso in A shows that them hands run in the family lmao
Edit: and also unc Sukuna
Naw yuki can definitely give sukuna hands😂. Yuki uses jkd aslo her stance in the fight against kenjaku
I think what Gojo did to Jogo in 7:50 was Aikido leading into Jiu Jitsu and not just Jiu-jitsu, Though I could be wrong.
Sukuna is a good martial artist it’s just the martial arts he uses are pretty much outdated
Good perspective
It isn't a video about hands without my JOGOAT
SSS tier, can't be comparing the JOGOAT with these bums
Sukuna is more like a sword user due to the nature of his technique, Mahoraga style to be more technical
9:26 that pause bro sukuna become thukuna lol
OH NO !! Not Thukuna 😭
@@Thesenshin7 yeah sukuna wrong more like thukuna
“Hakari punches people really hard”
does he not ?
Thank you 🙏
