Dalkey Island, Dublin, Ireland. Cinematic 4K Drone Video.

Dalkey Island is located a short distance from the coast in the affluent suburb of Dublin, south of the city. Dalkey has some amazing residences over looking the Irish sea, and is home to many famous musicians and celebrities. It has a famous temporary resident at the moment. American actor Matt Damon is currently staying in Dalkey. He is in Ireland to shoot a movie, but shooting was postponed due to Covid 19. He has been in lock down in the area since the end of March i think He recently said in an interview that Dalkey is one of the nicest places he has ever been to. He has been seen frequently in the area walking with his family and swimming in the sea.
Dalkey was founded by the Vikings, and was a busy port in the middle ages. The island was an important site of pilgrimage for centuries and is uninhabited, but had a population of 8 in 1841. The old ruined stone church is thought to be from the 7th century.

Thanks a lot. It's a beautiful place. Hollywood actor Matt Damon has been staying in this area during Covid lockdown since march. He was here to shoot a movie, but it was postponed. He went home yesterday I think. Glad you liked it 👍

, at the age of One we moved up to Dalkey Hill.....
The great adventures we had growing up.. We're second to none, The Roaming Hills,
The Woods.
and White Rock Strand were our playground..
It still is so beautiful...
