What's worse is that it didn't need to go down like this, back during phase 1 and 2 we were suppose to get a Live action TV show Directed by Guillermo del Toro as a follow up to both Incredible Hulk and The Avengers as a proper bridge between the gaps of his appearances on screen. He wanted a comic accurate, dark and epic take on the character and mythos and from what was pitched it would've been exactly what Hulk fans wanted but unfortunately the reason we never got it was because Disney and Kevin Feige turned it down multiple times due to not having direct control over the narrative of the show. To put it short we were straight up ROBBED! Hulk deserved/deserves far better
As someone who had little attachment to The Hulk prior to the MCU, i didnt really care too much abkut him until Avengers 1 where i actually thought he was pretty badass. However in Age of Ultron and all of the subsequent movies they once again made me apathetic towards the Hulk with the constant mistreatment
It’s such a shame where Hulk is now because even if they do fix him slightly in doomsday, secret wars, or anything else he could appear in I don’t think we will ever get to a point where he’s great the damage has already been done😔
The hulk was…no still is my childhood favorite hero. I have a lot of nostalgia and bias I’m willing to admit, but he means a lot to me. Even after age of ultron I thought there could be hope to salvage his character, it would be difficult but characters have come back from worse. However by the time infinity war’s opening closed out, it was over, there’s no fixing this without a reset that completely disregards the past.
