  • Hey guys! Let's explore IL CORSO, Filinvest's newest lifestyle mall at the South Road Properties (SRP) in Cebu City.
IL Corso, spanning 10 hectares as an open-air, seaside mall, offers a revitalized experience for shopping, dining, and leisure activities by the waterfront. It forms a part of the expansive City di Mare, Cebu’s premier coastal development covering 50 hectares, orchestrated by Filinvest Land Inc. This project stands as the most grandiose and costly endeavor within the South Road Properties area.

I hope so too, but then I remember that there’s already Anjo World Theme Park in a nearby town, and there’s no more space for such features inside the Il Corso lot 🥹.

    It’s like a ghost mall.

The situation of this mall is quite unusual, and it’s something I haven’t seen in other malls. You see, the interior is indeed like a ghost town, but the scene outside is bustling. The tenants, especially those facing the sea, receive many customers, particularly after 4 PM. In other words, customers don’t like going inside the mall; they visit mainly to eat with their friends and families at the restaurants located outside. AL FRESCO DINING with the cool sea breeze has become their main attraction and lifeblood. The restaurant at the end of the property, called Lantaw Restaurant, serves Filipino food and is always full, with long lines at night.

Wala po. They partnered with Robinsons Supermarket before, not sure if natuloy at di nagtagal. Malayo kasi talaga ang lugar nila.

They should've made the Il corso a carnival its hard to run a mall when Sm seaside already exist.

I agree with you, they should put more features to compete with SM Seaside.
SM Seaside City was also struggling to bring foot traffic for several years. The only difference is that they created a bus system (MyBus), which offers free rides to bring customers into the mall, and that’s how they succeeded. On the other hand, Il Corso, despite many years of existence, only started offering free rides this month 🫠. Well, it’s no surprise because Filinvest is known for being slow and bad at marketing, even in their properties in Metro Manila. Il Corso is lucky to have a water feature beside it, and their food park was a huge success.
