+hann kks102 Nope, not like that. There are so many border areas where you can literally just walk off to Chinese towns from India or vice versa. ( You can't do that though, border patrolling is very tight )
***** There is a long border area and some of them have villages near to them. If you go to bordering areas of Arunachal and Sikkim in India, you will find Chinese people living on the other side.( Personal experience, have friends and relatives living there) It comes under the western part of Heihe Tengchong line as you mentioned. It contains only about 6% of China's population but 6% is still a fair number given the size of Chinese population. The areas are not heavily populated but you will find Chinese people dwelling there.
+hann kks102 First of all be sure about what you are asking. "Chinese villages"just means areas China shows under its control. If by chinese you meant Han chinese, then yes their population is really less in this area. Although, they are relocating here to establish the Han majority.
Ira Thapa, you thought they are look like Chinese but they are Mongolian face they all are native land mark people they are drukpa Mongolian race, they've long history then you guys.sorry they're not Chinese they are native people.
'cause that's how they get the clicks and repeat viewings. I feel sorry for the stereotypical "ugly" girls who ask to be the guest in Fung Bros. food videos but get passed over.
I am a Bhutanese-Nepali✋. My parents and their parents were in Bhutan until they got rid of the nepali in Bhutan. Now we are Bhutanese refugee in the US.
I'm interested to know the history of cheese in Bhutan. Dairy is uncommon in traditional Asian cuisine. Is it derived from paneer, European cheese, or did it evolve independently? Because something tells me cheddar is not native to Bhutan.
Actually, dairy is quite common in many traditional Asian cuisines, unless your Asia is confined to just Japan. No, I don't think ancient Japanese made much use of milk. In China alone, certain minority groups have been known to make and eat dairy products for millennia. There is even a theory that dairy, just like rice, noodles (or pasta), tea and coffee, pepper, black pepper, salt, sugar, originated in the Land of the Ancients as well, which if you really think about it, makes total sense, considering that they were the first to domesticate animals and get creative with their milk. Then, you add in ancient India and certain central Asian tribes in the distant past close to the far eastern side, you'll come to a different conclusion about dairy in Asia. Dairy in Asia is more "unnoticed" than "uncommon" particularly by the West for whatever reasons. I'm guessing maybe it's because there is simply so much other stuff to choose from when talking about Asian cuisines. The proper question to ask here is not "Is it derived from paneer, European cheese, or did it evolve independently?" But, is paneer, Western cheese, derived from the Land of the Ancients or did it evolve independently some thousands of years later? Because something tells me that the ancient "nomadic" people living to the north of the Mediterranean had a very different diet before the rise of the West in the last 200 years and the authorship of the great fictional work called ancient Western history in the last 500 years or so.
I've honestly never heard of Bhutan before. But food is a great way to be introduced! Thanks! Def feeling that pork & Shakum dish. More of these food vids from countries that we don't get to hear / see more abt! Keep up the good work. Cheers.

I'm confused how you guys are fine after eating Bhutanese food. I love Bhutanese food but the spice level is too much for me to handle. Did you guys order mild.

her name sounds lil funny..... I m sure she got her real bhutanese name..... anyways those mentioned were just a finger tip items, if u wanna explore more there are hell lot a food we bhutanese got.now for ur misconception with regards to $250 /day they dnt simply charge just for ur entry ..... its include royalty(which goes to education and health) and also includes fooding, lodging, transport and guide. and u ll find worth it. yeah and for all ur kind information dried pork is not called sikkim rather it's called sikkam.
Good video but as a native to the region I must correct a few incorrect facts the lovely lady in the video made. First of all, she taught the Fung Bros to say "za-da-gey" or as they pronounced it as "za-ta-gey" which means "lets eat it". Now I don't know if they assumed it meant lets go or if that's what she told them it meant, but it really isn't. Secondly, she said Bhutan is in the bottom of the Himalayas. It is actually in the eastern Himalayas, but still very much in the Himalayas! Overall good job on shedding light on our culture. Thank you Kunku
I belong to a mountain tribe of the Northern Mountains of the Philippines called "Igorot". One of our traditional food is the red rice which we call "kintoman" the staple food in every meal. Asians do eat dog meat we Igorots are one of those group of Asians that eat such kind of meat. Some are Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean & etc. We Igorot also eat kini-ing (smoked salted & dried pork or beef) & etag (salted pork). Also we consume pinikpikan meaning killing me softly which is a native chicken killed by hitting its body with a stick to form blood cloths then cooked in a soup dish with ginger & vegetables. Also we eat wat-wat a native pig killed by stabbing their heart with a sharp stick of wood and boiled it with out any spices then cut into large chunks and consumed with chili & soy sauce with the broth. We also have an alcoholic drink called "tapey" which is red rice wine.
When you chilling between India and China eating spice with noodles
+hann kks102 Nope, not like that. There are so many border areas where you can literally just walk off to Chinese towns from India or vice versa. ( You can't do that though, border patrolling is very tight )

Sonam Leghden Are Bhutanese Fancy Asians or Jungle Asians?
+John Doe Buddhist Asians livin the simple life
they are up there in the Himalayas so jungle is probably not really their thing.
Jungle 'Asians' are never been considered as Asians.
+Kleco101 he is referring to this : /f9JYWjLvPL0
bhutan falls in neither of these though, just high mountain asians.
my mom is from bhutan and she makes these food all the time, my fav one is dachi.

I triggered when she said Bhutan is between India and China.

They should have said Tibet guessing
cause im surprised she said china instead of tibet because bhutan's culture is very similar to tibetan
indeed, Bhutan is located between Tibet and India.
you know nothing
Kunku's mom makes the best sikam, I have had the privilege of many dinners at their home :)
Sikkim is name of the 42nd sate of India. Sikam is a pork dried hanging in an airy shed in an attic or meat drying enclosure called shaking.

Lester Laoagan dog meat is tasty, I like the fibrous texture but I can't stand fermented snail.
Wouldnt GDP bring happiness to countries with large population/bad economy?
not really. if that were the case countries like the USA would only have good news on TV and trustworthy media.
