I played the first demo and thought it showed a lot of promise. I've paid for the full release and will play when it's ready. I like that the walls give you more chance to be creative than say House Flipper. (HF2 looks pretty exciting too.)
@ 45:03 you ask about the gap in the ceiling; I believe that is where you would put curtain rods and the like so you can hang drapery and not have the rod be visible.

yeah finally ha, it was either the video after this, or the third one where peeps told me how to do it. It was a struggle for a bit :D, luckily that q/e carried over to another game that had the same mechanic too!
@@Mnealia oh that's great, I just finish part 2 video, will continue watch your good work. While for me, struggle is that I keep messing up the button with House Flipper one 😂
It's funny that you mention that, because in the later videos when I flip between HF and Hotel I will whine about that too! In HF you can actually see the struggle 😆

If you point in the middle of the wall (top to bottom) when you demo, it takes the whole thing 1 hit.
I know now :D, I do figure it out later, I can't remember if it's this episode or the next. But then you get the giant hammer, and it doesn't matter anymore.

:D welcome! Tiny confession, this would have been the 5th time I thrown that poor chicken out of the window. I played the two next fests and the two gameplay tests. The first time I was like "ohh no is she going to be okay?", by the 5th, I just wanted her out the window.

Love your designs! But I noticed on vlads room you were high at 2.2 star rating then down to 2.1 then at the 1.02 time mark it dropped to 1.2 but there was no reason for it, any ideas why it dropped when you were doing so well?
Furniture choices I think, I made an early mistake of mixing 1 star furniture with 2 star, because I was basing it on what I liked. It gets better once I unlock more furniture choices.

Ha, no, there was no access to electronics tab in the first room, but thanks for reminding me to swing back to room 101 and add one

When I did Vlads room I didn’t put any lights or mirrors in at all then after he checked at I went back in and put them, and a TV in then as well as changing the curtains. I love the game but all that ripping out the floors, ceilings etc getting tedious after a while. Does it speed up later in the game?
yes! I promise it does. You will get a big ol' mallet hammer that takes out one wall at a time in a single swing. Towards the end of the campaign you get dynamite that clears a room out with one toss.
There's a lot to do in this game and I mean a lot of stuff 💞👍

After the first job, you can click q or e to change modes from single to spray paint (for wall paint) or full wall/floor

I was looking forward to trying this game so I went looking for YT let's plays to see if it was worth it... but the whole decorating a room to cater to a specific guest really kind of turns me off. I guess they needed some kind of... "gamey" aspect to the game but... nah... it doesn't sell me unfortunately... kinda disappointed >
I agree. On ep 4 I'm going to complain a lot about this game mechanic, because it's a constant, add speakers and rock decal stickers for the rocker, or camping equipment for the fisherman. And the stupid chicken....

Again, if it's my dream, why am I catering to the whims of random guests? My original impression of the game would be you renovate hotels, build cash, sell them to buy bigger and better hotels to renovate. Hence, the reason I did not buy the game.
So basically just like hometopia? =/
In all fairness, Hotel Reno came out first ha. But nah, I think they feel and play like different games.
