the feeling of loneliness may be the original concept of the backrooms, but when executed in gameplay, the whole "Liminality" with no threats/items/whatever isnt really too fun to play. Thats why you can have your own seperate headcanons of the backrooms- because the loneliness one works better as a concept, and the more game-ified version is more fun to play
