Hello everyone welcome to the start of what I hope to be a long lasting series!
Some context for venture, I played them during the weekend trial but after that pretty much nothing. So this is me going in somewhat fresh 😁

Gonna be the best echo in the world after this series is done, being able to play any hero
I never even thought about how Echo benefits heavily from playing other characters. If you can copy and get value out of anyone then you're set
this is one of the reasons i try to have a large hero pool

@@Tutualoe I don't consider anyone who is primarily in the pro scene one of the best. They are in a separate bracket on their own, so in ladder yes yznsa is the best echo
Overwatch players will say they are hardstuck gold and then chase a venture around the entire map as orisa (2nd game)

The curse of every Venture main: with the rare exception, someone on the enemy team is gonna swap to Pharah.
i tend to have more reaper swaps
just gotta be a bit more sneaky and pick off the other dps/supports. I feel this though im a reaper main and widow swaps is annoying asf.
Work on your air attacks buddy. Shes easy to kill
as a junk and venture main i think phara should be deleted immediately!!!
When we gold players get told not to forget the venture/sombra/tracer in the backline one too many times we get a second game orisa.

as someone who used to main DF in ow1 it really feels nice that they created a much better version in ow2. i put off venture simply because i was learning tracer but now that ive finished that im learning venture it feels so familiar and i love the loop venture has and their skill expression. i feel like w venture just w dig alone you can create so much space by simply existing most often than not the enemy team stops and all look at you and you can just drill away taking pressure off your team w/o shooting a single shot
One addition on the initial discussion of combos, you can instantly cancel your melee with any ability, so the best combo up close would be shoot, melee, immediately dash, shoot, then another melee or shoot if you missed part of the combo or they got healed.
Your attacks play in a queue, so you can hold down the buttons in the order you want, and they'll go off as soon as they can.

I've been one tricking venture for a while, and I'm only just starting to climb out of Diamond 2. This is a really well timed video and really motivates me
What do you do when someone takes your one trick? I can play multiple dps but on healer its mainly Illari for me. I can also play Kiriko and used to be pretty good with her but am super rusty now

I love the idea for this series, can't wait to see more in the future. I would like to see a few more of the losses though to better understand the character's weaknesses and bad matchups

I was a primarily console player all of OW1 and 2 and after watching a bunch of videos including this one, I’ve switched over to M&KB and started maining Venture so thanks for all the footage to study!
I got back into ow2 just to play venture, I main they for 2 weeks now and it's the most fun I've had in years in this game

17:28 The looping on this baby Orisa was diabolical 😭 and she was STILL sending for you the entire game... I think once you donked her Soldier off the map at the start, she took that as a declaration of war 😂

Now that her drill dash recharges faster after activating burrow even when in the air you can aim a little higher and right as your about to run out of time hold down the burrow so you get a little extra recharge on the dash you should be left with only about 3 seconds till you can dash again.

It took me a while to figure this out because I'm a doom player but venture actually doesn't have to hit any abilities to get shields. Just pressing the buttons gives you shield.

The low volume isn't a problem (just turn it up!), except for when some of the ads pop up like a loud horror film jump scare.
Correct me if I’m wrong but for quicker burst damage on burrow you don’t need to wait the full duration for max damage, just until the bar is filled up.

This character has very annoying abilities. First ability gives invulnerability and immunity to control. Second ability:
firstly gives mobility, secondly pushes enemies, thirdly gives shields for no fckng reason, fourthly deals damage. Or maybe brews coffee, but I'm not sure.

@@dinoblaster736 What do you mean by uncapped primary range? I think armor would have done fine. With her digging ability, and the new passive of regenerating health, what's the point of shields? She could get out of battle and begin regenerating.
Venture is just a modern better overwatch 2 style of reaper with way more tools to use.

Just came back after a year of not looking at anything OW nor playing overwatch 0.5, this thing looks hideous and can safely say I will never play the thing. Always just seems to die when I see it in game but then I hyper focus it as well.

The stream for venture is from 25 days ago so his editor might have a lot on their plate.
I haven't had a lot of playing Venture. Her kit is a little over-tuned in top500 lobbies.
Due to the way her projectiles behave, her splash is always 49% larger than pharah's rockets and is on average 25.33%% larger than junkrat's splash.
Her greatest strength is also her greatest weakness; we know that she is so strong in top500 lobbies, we simply counterpick her and her most synergised party members from the outset.
My experiences in top500 are simply more boring since Venture has been introduced. And since she was introduced, I've found myself actually playing the stock market more than video games, so my personal life is actually growing quite enriched (pun intended).
If she continues being as overpowered as she currently is, Overwatch 2 will possibly dies its final and most dramatic death.
Great video, Yeatle, I think many of the low rank players learn a lot from you. And your editing is sublime.

I'd like to add to this saying Venture is one of my favorite heroes. I am generally a tracer one trick, but venture has made me more of a 2 trick. One of the most fun and unique heroes to be released maybe since Tracer imo. And yeah they're overtuned but people just don't know, maybe starting to catch on lol.

They strike me as a hero who has some overtuned aspects but would be seriously damaged if given a significant nerf. Heroes that struggle on certain types of maps like Venture are a hard balance.
Like, sure, I feel a little op on tight maps, but it I was significantly weaker on sniper heavy maps it would just mean not being able to play a hero I love on a good number of maps in the game... Which I've already experienced with Junkrat.
