Great video my friend with some great points. I usually carry a traditional and modern folder every day. I find the collecting aspect of the hobby to be a bit more fun with the traditionals.
I don't have anything against traditionals or (most of) the people who collect them, and i can even see their appeal. Personally though, the things that initially attracted me to, and keep me interested in, folding knives are the engineering, tolerances and exotic steels. I think even the biggest traditional fans have to admit those areas are their biggest shortcomings, but i also understand thats a plus to some. I have a few ~$10 rough ryders, and i regret buying every one of them. They feel dollar store quality. Edit: i would argue that my Inkosi or Endura is just as easy (if not easier) to maintain as any traditional.
Thanks for sharing ! I would agree. I know some people are solely traditional pocket knife users and collectors, and some stay more with high end modern folders. I am somwhere in the middle , I just like pointy sharp objects of all kinds haha !!
