Prestige clip on cooker buy or not? A honest review.

This particular pressure cooker the lid is a problem. The flap on 2 sides of the pressure cooker must clip properly to the pot. Otherwise no whistle sound. As i notice in this video, one side did not clip properly to the pot. There was a gap. You have to do it many times to get all the 4 sides clip properly to the pot. I prefer the older version of pressure cooker. I used it for very many years. This clipped on type does not last long. After few use it does not work properly and i just use it as a pot to cook.

I was about to buy this model as a present. Changed my mind after this video. Problem with this kind of lock (small pin like system) that any small object can make this system stop working. Long ago I bought a pressure cooker with this kind of safety lock. Worked only few times. I thought experts like prestige would make a better product. Unfortunately they blew this one.

nandu, I have the same issue. non pressure building inside, leakage steam on few places though unable to reach to the proper pressure inside. what exactly your customer service told? sorry that I couldn’t understand tamil, but I feel that you’re having the same issue as mine.

My customer service told change the top. They didn't solved this issue. Totally it's a failure model

@@NandhusRecipes try this. make sure you fully clean + dry the gasket and lid internals. place the gasket & close the lid as usual. once it's sealed, turn the closed lid to clockwise until you feel its getting fully tighten. mostly for me 30-60% turning make it well tighten. then in the first 5-10 minute keep it at high heat.(usual steam leaking bareble till pressure builds up) so far, this works for me !
