    OMG! Spray paint in epoxy!!! Who would have thunk it? Thank you so much for your videos! I learn something new with every one! I am glad you use Alumilite! That's the only one I use. I keep getting little "pimples" (honestly thats's how they feel) on my finished cups. I torch, hand epoxy, and I just don't know what else to do. Does this happen to you? How would you suggest I fix this? BTW, I'm doing this cup tonight!

      @@FlynnSistersBoutique I used alcohol and coffee filters. I have used paper towels before on other things but I've stopped since watching you, lol. Those little pimples are soooooo frustrating.

    I love watching your video. You give such good info. Do I have to use spray paint can I just use acrylic paint. Is spray better then acrylic paint. I have a tone of acrylic don’t want to buy spray since this I the only thing I would use it for. Thank you for your time and info!

    Is there a cup turner you can recommend that you like? I have a diy one but would like to find a nicer one.

      I really don't have any recommendations at the moment. We make all of our own here and I don't have any reputable sellers that I feel comfortable referring you too. I like what the Cup A Saurus guys are doing on Etsy. They seem to have a great track record and great reviews.

    What is white epoxy dye? Can I use white acrylic paint or white mica or white alcohol ink

      Epoxy dye is pigment formulated for epoxy. You can use acrylic paint or mica

    Where is your respirator from? Doubt I can even find out now but I’ve been having a reaction to the epoxy.

      Lisa Ritchie this was a gift from a friend at Honeywell. I’ve tried to source some for you guys but it’s impossible to find them anywhere online. You need an organic vapor mask either half face or full face would work fine.

    Just a thought on the turner direction... if you put the motor end on the other side of the table ( your right side instead of left) wouldn’t it be turning towards you like you prefer?

    omg i love this cup!! 😍 thank you so much for the inspiration & for such a thorough tutorial! instead of spray paints for the blue/nude color would i be able to use acrylic paint or even mica powders or does it have to be spray paint? i’m new to making tumblers, only have made 2 so far so i’m definitely still learning!!

      Yes acrylic paint and micas are great to use! Just go lightly on the paint!

      thank you! you can use either! Actually I've recently started sealing metallic vinyl with matte mod podge spray! it works great and dries really quick!

    For your first coat, you allow it to sit for 4-6 hours. Is that a fast dry epoxy, or how is your epoxy dry that fast? Love the finished look!

      Since I'm not sanding or applying decals, just going right over it with epoxy, you can do that after only 4/6 hours with almost any epoxy. I use Alumilite. So for example - If i put the first coat of epoxy over the glitter, I would wait 4/6 hours and then go straight into the second coat without touching it, removing from the turner, etc.

    So quick question. Wife is turning forty and I wanted to make this cup. I put the glitter coat and my coating already took an orange peel look which occurred within 20 minutes of epoxy. Is this ok? Could I do another coat of glitter epoxy? Thanks and great video

      yes you can definitely use acrylic paint. just use a little bit though. Mica is for color and some sparkle. thank you!!

    So after adding the quick glitter base of three glitters and epoxy, my cup is super lumpy. Should I sand before adding the paints and mica’s?

      I would do another coat of epoxy first, then do your marbling

      Oooh I completely agree. I have these plates I use in my kitchen and I always want to do SOMETHING along these colors but don't know what. I'm from San Antonio, TX so Fiesta and Mexican/Spanish culture are big here.

    If u wanted the turner to spin toward you u could have just place the opposite way.. instead of it being on the right place it on the left vice versa..
