  • Welcome back outlaws! On this episode we unbox and test the EGO 400 watt power inverter. I was looking for a small portable inverter to take camping and to the beach to use for charging phones and powering small appliances and lighting. I chose this unit because I already have an EGO brand chainsaw and it uses the same battery, this made it convenient for me as I already had the battery! I hope this video helps anyone researching or contemplating purchasing one of these. Thanks for watching😎 please consider subscribing to the channel, give us a 👍and share with a friend.

    I have this device and it works great. I used it today with a power outlet strip with a 5 Amp battery and two portable lunch boxes you can heat food and barely used less then 3 bars to reheat hotdogs and hamburgers and fried rice for a family of 6 people. I charge my iPhone, iPad and i watch. I can even use a 600 watt ninja mixer by quickly plugging and unplugging the plug to mix my protein drink. Two 5A batteries can power my CPAP too.

    You would only have to push the power button once if you would hold it down for 3 seconds.

    I have the same one and I only have to push the power button once to turn it on so maybe some type of issue with that one

      @@kennthbrowne7051 I picked this up because I already had the battery so when I’m out cutting brush with my ego battery powered chainsaw I have more options. Your unit that you built sounds solid! Great for boondocking and off grid adventures!

      That’s a bummer! Not a good experience. Mine is still working fine. I’ll keep an eye out for issues with the one I use!

    How could I use this for my RV heater that uses 12v?

    • @ocotillooutlaws4101
      @ocotillooutlaws4101  8 месяцев назад

      You could use a battery charger/tender plugged into the 120v outlet to charge the battery while you run the heater. The EGO battery is 56v I currently use the 7.5 amp hour battery but with the 12 amp hour battery you would have plenty of juice.
