- With 27.79 million registered voters to elect candidates to represent them in the National Assembly and Provincial Legislatures, what are smaller opposition parties doing to get their share of electorate?
As we get closer to national and provincial elections scheduled to be held on the 29th May 2024, we continue to look at the role smaller political parties play in this year's elections.
To discuss this and their manifestos we're joined in the studio by Michael Beaumont, ActionSA chairperson; Kenny Kunene, Patriotic Alliance Deputy president; and Samuel H Kennedy, Conservatives in Action SA president.

It seems only ActionSA out of the 56 parties is tabling an inclusive empowerment alternative to correct this exclusive BEE policy, but we hardly ever hear any blueprint from these other parties. ActionSA gets the ball rolling, Mr Kennedy is just prefacing and lacking practicality. Thanks to Mr Beaumont for his well-researched manifesto advocacy.

I think I liked that CIA old man, he appears pragmatic and I'd have the PA and ASA consider the ideas he brings about.
SA National Assembly will no longer be a 1 party matter.
So it follows you have to consider how you get to that 60%+1 to change constitution where needed.

Only parties to choose from is ActionSA and the PA, all other parties for me are just not loving SA as these two. DA is as bad as ANC, we experienced them in Tshwane.

U cannot leave the DA out. Everyone needs their voters as well to be successful against the ANC, EFF and the MK. Because by now the ANC stands round about 39%, the EFF around 10% and the MK round about 8-10% as well. Lets hope there will be a change of Government end of May.

Our political governance system needs a thorough overhaul. No party will ever be able to “rescue” South Africa. The OHM is the only party that is offering viable SOLUTIONS via a direct elections campaign and doing away with South Africa’s party gang system.
We need to be liberated from our global masters, another crucial principle that The OHM holds, so that we can progress as a sovereign nation, no longer bowing to the demands of this highest bidder.
The OHM will get my vote. Why are they not represented here???

Get a decent government or coalition government into power and the rand will increase in value,resulting in lower fuel prices and lower food prices.
Coalitions seem to have resulted in paralysis so far.

The issue if safety starts and end with the very communities where crime happen. Even if you employ thousands of police it won't assist the situation. Therefore all of them are confused as to how to deal with the real situation. Communities must build safety structures to protect citizens. These are the youth oppressed under apartheid regime 😈 🦹♀️ and fought for a better life, but they still struggle currently .The political parties since 1994 have failed this group of the hope of a better life financially. When I listen to politicians like the characters being interviewed here, I really despair. We have dreadful politicians. At this point in time, the only sane and intelligent political party in SA is the DA.
