Uma Thurman is beyond fabulous in this film. It’s not even a textbook showy performance but she’s so playful, enigmatic, and youthful. She drives it home with her solo dance concert in her living room. She was always one of my favorite characters, and I wish we had more of her in the following storylines.
Marco C agreed 👍 i actually commented on that when someone said it was only drug users who watched that scene with mia dancing and himself Vincent in the bathroom and i disagreed saying that i love the fact that mia is dancing after she gets in from the night out and has no one ever done that and i don't use drugs and didn't touch anything that was in the movie no chance 2018 23rd March mindyourself marco nice comment
I believe we all expected that things would get a bit intimate between them but that's what I love about Tarantino, something out of the world happened lmao
There is such an eerie feeling to this whole scene... aside from the sense of tension, here being in that bright room at night with all the windows bare makes it feel like someone could be watching from outside.
Love her....she's so perfect in this role, the dance the attitude, perfection I relate to her at about 1:20 where she's like: oh I'm fed up with dancing now... Vincent is like a magnet for disaster
most of those "gRUnGe e-girl aesthetic" people out there be using the picture of her nose bleeding not knowing she was overdosing from snorting heroin or worse, they've never seen pulp fiction
Why you always take a small dose when unsure on what drug it is to see what it is and then go from there People won't stop using drugs but impulsive irrational unsafe drug use is a huge percentage of what actually kills people still to this day especially with that fentanyl shit in 50% of drugs these days
All drug users have watched this scene over 100 times. Don't lie Edit in 2020: holy shit i did not realize how many comments/likes this has - but i'm here to say again don't lie!
For anyone who doesn’t know: earlier in the movie, when Vincent is buying the heroin from his dealer, his dealer mentions he’s out of balloons and only has baggies. Heroin is normally put in balloons, while coke is put in baggies. So Mia thinks it’s coke and doesn’t realize it’s heroin until after she snorts it, and that’s why she overdoses.
Agreed! The way she looks and moves here 😍 so playful, in the moment and feminine. I also like the solid man conversation Vincent is having with himself in the toilet. Throughout this movie the men are very masculine and the women very feminine…it’s great 👌🏼
@JM Rodriguez-Luis haha no dawg, it's for a fact that life is gonna be really hard at certain points, and that you gotta make the wise choices not the easy ones.
Pulp fiction is my family’s favorite all time movie. Even my mom watches it... well she watches this chapter only to see them dance, but she sticks around for the OD and adrenaline shot. She leaves the room right after that cause it’s about all she can take 😂😂.
The essential nature of johns character, it’s something many loyal men to a boss have faced, not specifically to this scene, but a loyal comrade can think with his brain and not his Dick. A lot of men can’t do that. This scene, the purity of it, is legendary.

As simple as that
Yes indeed.

@@iflyforfree Dude, I am talking about THIS scene in particular, what the fuck is wrong with you?, STFU.
Anytime Vincent Vega goes to the bathroom there is a disaster waiting for him.

There was a robbery in the diner, Mia got overdose and he died on Butch's apartment.
Moon Seeea I’VE NEVER LAUGHED SO HARD
I laughed so hard after reading your comment
Gosh! I never thought about that! You're so right. 😂
because.....being loyal.....is very important
You can tell he doesn't actually believe a single word that he says lol
Hahaaaa what a convincing argument
In this case its either being loyal or falling out of the window as previously explained by mia.
Tarantino did the best with not letting them have sex.
onur bekiroglu yes
Why would they? That would ruin the tension and leave the viewer guilty on behalf of the two.
@aji har shut up aji har
@@keithm5224 I was kinda sad because they didn't but also the tension was so damn good
Genius guy but has some real problems.

"playful, enigmatic, and youthful." Well said.
I would have said more of a youthful, playful and enigmatic vibe, but I still agree with you.
Well said
My only gripe is the wig...but probs that's on purpose
ur mom
this movie doesnt age
pitbull holger That’s because it’s a classic.
Autumn clarke no, it’s because it’s timeless and not that old
@Jarred Knox what makes it seem old?

Every scene of this movie is iconic it blows my mind. There are just levels of it and this scene is at the top
At 1:08 the lyrics go “You’ll need a man” but she sings “You’ll need a woman”.
Why
@@saravanagenzo3108 What do you mean by straight? If she said it that way then it'd mean she's a lesbian..
It means she's incredibly drunk.
alice kitty drunk and high asf
nope she says you'll be a woman not you'll need a woman
Love Mia Wallace❤️

Quentin Tarantino is a great writer and film maker.
wrong, this is the best movie of all time!
What a friggin' movie, and what a scene.
There is such an eerie feeling to this whole scene... aside from the sense of tension, here being in that bright room at night with all the windows bare makes it feel like someone could be watching from outside.
Yeah but then I remembered the outer wall is probably pretty far away considering it's a mansion.
Probably one of the best impromptu dance scenes in film history.
2:37 me after every night out.

Ranpo pfp on a Pulp Fiction video, based.
I hate those people 😭they use tumblr and probably have neon led lights in their room
She has a childish vibe, especially when she dances and headbangs
Dunkio right, hence the song “you’ll be a woman soon,” hinting at what she’s about to experience
its a transition between the old girly girl and the woman. this is done trough cocaine. i stand in agreement with you .
this is so beautiful in a fucked way

I love how Vicent tries to convince himself to stay cool
best part
Watched this today on my day off work. Forgot how good it is.
It really is at the time the movie premiered. Still so underrated.

In what way is it 'underrated'...it's widely considered one of the best films ever made.

Vincent and Mia's part of this movie are my favorite. Just so good, lol ;D
One of the most iconic scenes ever ❤

Oh hello

it’s heroin that’s why she overdosed it was good heroin too apparently so yup she dead
Juan Gallardo it’s heroin. She thought it was coke which is why she snorted it and then overdosed. Don’t mix your drugs kids!
I love this scene. So beautiful, but so sad.
Her dancing and demeanour is beyond what I could have imagined the perfect scene would look like.
Ok but why do people say she says "I fucking love this song" SHE NEVER SAYS THAT AT ALL IN THIS SCENE WTF
Eric Perkins Jr. Lmaooo.

Eric Perkins Jr. I've seen 2 versions of this movie, in one she does, and they add another scene. Maybe directors cut?
I stop the video from time to time and think how brilliant Tarantino was 23 years ago in the set making this masterpiece
