    Love your technique! You make it look so easy. I’m just a beginner and definitely overthink everything. My favorite holiday food is pecan pie. My Christmas stocking always had oranges, apples and pecans in it, and it was a thrill to pour them out onto the floor on Christmas morning. Thank you for bringing that long ago memory forward.

    My grandparents hung a stocking for us on December 31st, as we always stayed with them then. At the toe of the sock was a tangerine and an apple, and the rest was filled with inexpensive things that would keep us occupied until it was time to go home. Thanks for bringing that memory back to me. I’m a beginner but you make it look so easy xxx

    I can’t wait to give this a try! I don’t have a lot of good memories of Christmas growing up but tangerines are always a treat this time of year. I just bought a box of them today! Thanks for your lovely free tutorials. I’ve learned so much from you in just a few months!

      Thank you Nayla. I love seeing your paintings. You may have realised I don’t really like Christmas. This one is no different. Be glad when it’s over xxx

    Cranberries. They grow in Massachusetts (US) where I'm from. We used to string them with popcorn and put them on the tree. Plus, they are so good in muffins, breads, pies. I love them.

      Hi Beth. Thank you very much. For this tutorial the line drawing is over on our Facebook group and I have linked it in the description box underneath a video.
      Some of our future tutorials have a line drawing at the end of them but for now, that’s where you will find this particular one. So join our Facebook group and you have access to all of our line drawings and reference photographs

    I was fascinated with your spot brushes. I got one size 3/0 and washed it well per instruction but I can’t seem to get much paint on paper. Is there special instruction on the use ? You look like it is so easy🤨

      Hi Norma. Just use them as you would a regular brush. Did you but a size 3 or 3/0 which is 000?

    Helen - I’m finally ready to start painting with you. I love the tangerine and will go out and by one today. I already have the tiny brushes and mixed media paper. Where do I find the tracings you use? I found them a month ago and printed one out. The watercolor paper made the tracing look very “pebbly” and it was hard to see. Now I’ve forgotten where they are! Please remind me. Thank you. E

      @helencampbell  2 года назад

      Hi Elizabeth. They are in The media folder over on the Facebook group along with the reference photo. The watercolour paper can be a bit bumpy depending on what you use

      @@helencampbell I was using Arches top quality watercolor paper. One more question…I checked out the Patreon page and prices, and I don’t understand the difference between the watercolor lessons you give on Tuesdays, like the tangerine, and the ones you mention on the Patreon page. I’ve gotten older and I’m living on social security, so I wonder if you have a special rate for those of us who don’t have much money.

    • @helencampbell
      @helencampbell  2 года назад

      Hi. I’m sorry I don’t have special rates because I do the RUclips videos for free. The Patreon site is more in-depth and exclusive to Patreon.

    Is it just me, or is the tangerine peel missing it's shadow? I'm guessing that I'm not looking at it correctly. Any replies are welcome.
