And those checks is being written is preventing the band from playing on top of not being to play during times when the ball is going to be snapped for a play
Both bands had 9 minutes and famu went over that time. The only reason they started limiting the time was because famu used to do 20-minute shows back in the day. I'm currently in the band at BCU, and we had a better dance routine and show, but we had to cut it so short due to time constraints. BCU Establish a standard. We have to go down for BCU, and we have to have a dance girl number because, unlike Famu, we have dancers.

BCU don't hit the same w/o their larger numbers. Good show but u can tell that hurricane took a toll on the university. Looking fwd to the full bounce back next season. Still a good show here. Kudos to staff and students.

I think is is also because the 100 is starting to get back to its Foster-like form (they need to get rid of those Baritone “Can-Fronts” and return to the Euphoniums to get that true Foster band-type sound. This is going to make recruiting for Bethune a nightmare because the 100 straight up took it to y’all asses this year. Last, becoming a University was detrimental financially. Tuition everywhere is getting out of hand so now students are becoming financially more aware of how much it will cost them to go to BCU for primarily the education and secondarily the experience of marching in the band just go get thrashed by the 100. Last Wells needs to spice it up. Chipman is doing that and the numbers and results are speaking for itself. The 100 will be BCU’s nightmare for years to come. The rebuilding is over. Prepare for a musical/show blitz from now on from the Greatest FAMU Marching100!!

As someone who seen the show in person from the press box view I will have to highly disagree with you. The announcers “reads” as you put them flowed very well given the jabs that FAMU announcer took as well as introducing the songs and song titles. Each band has 9 minutes and I thought both bands did very well given the time constraints they had.
I wish they were shorten the intro, add a drill, lengthen the time for 14K to dance, and most of all please stop running off the field…I know it is to save time but it looks so tacky each year.

Right, those pinwheel formations are so annoying!!! I would love to see BCU add in some animation with their formations like FAMU does. They may be stickmen but at least they come to life. Anyway, both bands did an amazing job!!😊❤
Hey I still enjoyed the show it wasn't fulling, but the announcer maybe was reaching slightly. It didn't land so good. Hold your heads up Wildcats next year the Classic will be yours. FAMU closed their show on a real high. We got love the Wildcats also.
Definitely reaching. Lot of the comments didn't make sense fr. God I miss Horatio. That brother knew how to announce this band. This man who's announcing now has never really hit it for me.
@@mtmxmr BCU is a good band and during some Classics stole the show on the field. Beside playing good music which can be done in the stand, they didnt give us a great FIELD SHOW.. FAMU had multi drills and then closed it with the HAMMER to BCU..
And yes it was crazy at the end of BETHUNE's show he was still talking so long. Didnt land at all. But all in all both of the bands represent Florida well.

This is already showing in their numbers… if they don’t fix this, BCU will look like a high school band, and sound like one. Donavan Wells was building is imitation of “BCU’s brand back in the 90’s and early 2000’s because FAMU was getting in that ass all day long. But to his credit he has brought them up. Now he’s comfortable and no change or improvement since I will say 2007 or up to 2009 which is when I was a freshman in the 100…. So yeah there’s that. FAMU suspension was good for BCU and the rebuild years following. That was BCU’s chance to really get FAMU but unfortunately Wells let Chipman fix the 100… from 2018 the 100 band starting getting back into form. This year was a total shocker! Big step forward!
@@ms-uh2tw bruh couldn't no one touch BCU in 2000s. But the 100 is back with a vengeance. They even travel to SWAC stadiums and go head to head with those bands. BCU hasn't even done that. Why are they even in the SWAC?
There isn't much you can do with 9 minutes on the field, so BCU will have to cram everything they do and most likely cut the majority of it because going over the 9-minute mark will result in a fine.
