I always felt Vital had more of a "plastic" sound to it compared to Serum. I like what you've done here, I want to try some of this myself now!
Thanks man, it's kinda my way to get around it's timbre because I love what it can do sound design wise
Cool tips Ollie! Came here by random for some Virus A goodness and subscribed. Vital is soooo powerful, i like it more than Serum and its Linux compatible. I really want a Virus, but for what. Can you still give me reasons? My VAs were Nord Lead 1, Supernova and JP-8000. Last one being the most characterful so far. Keep on!
You the best thanks for the ticket to your party that i received on my mail, but im from Israel and cat fly to you now. You work is great!
I found re-sampling through an anolog mixing dest and then back into my daw. I also mice up a PA speaker and capture the sound of the room and mix this in as well works for me.
cool. I lack these kinds of wavetables due to not having any hardware synths (yet, hopefully)... Is there a way to just get the wavetables?
But as I mentioned at the end, you don't need to have a big arsenal of analog synthesizers, good emulations like the ones from Arturia, TAL, U-He or even Ableton's Analog would do the job, just up your sample rate a bit, like 48khz :)
As for the Wavetables, that would be on my Patreon ;)
@@olliepsy yeah, I guess I just need to find a day in my schedule to get some emulations and render out some cool stuff, like from the virus emulation or something like that...
a really good video this is reminding me too make my own wavetables from my analog modular rack for my go to synth Vital.
That's the way too goo :)
is that the Manatee? I envy you if it is. I've always wanted to get something from Fred's Lab. He's also based in France, if I remember correctly. Anyway, great video! Cheers!
Yes that's the Manatee, I'm one of the beta testers and also working on it's factory presets :)
Have you ever tried ODIN 2 FM oscillator? ODIN 2 is semimodular and free plugin what sounds superb.
For the Moment i make Presets for the upcoming effects VST Synestia beta from Plasmonic. In case you offer me the in this Video used Sounds i can make a Video after doing some Presets. I have some vital Sounds but the Idea is bad. I did kick complete all izotope Plugins since the did move to Native Instruments. Otherwise i will use some of Yuli YOLO. or some of mine.
It would have been good to compare the waveforms you've sampled to equivalent basic waveforms that are in Vital so that the difference could be more clear and understandable. It's hard to determine "better" when you're listening to a sound with no comparison point.
@1:18 bars 🎤
Fun Fun Fun!🤩🤩🤩
What kind of samples does the Vital wavetable take? I can't seem to get any of mine to work like you did at the start here...
.wav samples? the most basic ones :)
As I mentioned I sample 1 bar no more no less
@@olliepsy thanks dude - i'm a font of ignorance in this music tech gig
It's free. Let it thaw hipster analogue snobs.
1st 😂
Hahaha
