    Really enjoying these videos Steve. Glad I restrained myself from watching this until after I made my vids.
    Our takes on the same holiday are very different.

    Been eagerly waiting for Part 2 and can’t wait for the next instalment. We’re planning our own OT adventure in December so it’s great to be watching along. Thank you! Some beautiful photos too - can’t wait to be there ourselves

    Your videos have been great to see. I'm a novice hiker and will be doing the overland track in Feb next year so it's been great to see your journey so far. Eagerly awaiting Part 3.

    Thankyou Steve. Great video! Such a great experience and achievement. Also. looking forward to part 3. Do you think a fit 65 year old could make the trip with the correct preparation and with a small group such as yours?

    • @ExpeditionAustralia
      @ExpeditionAustralia  8 месяцев назад +1

      You definitely could do it. There were plenty of people over 65 and I even met a guy on the track back in 2006 in his 80’s walking it for the 8th time. He didn’t start hiking until he retired at 65!

    Enjoying the series Steve. Been awhile since my daughter and i met you and the girls at Snowys. I think you were having an issue on the front end of the cruiser at the time. Looking forward to episode 3.👍

    Great adventure and videos. Love it! Can’t wait to have our journey there. Tasmania is always my place to go. Literally everywhere but I haven’t done any overnight hiking. Like you said on the first series the place is always calling you to come back. That’s how i feel with Tasmania. Last time went around for two weeks in Sep 2023. I hope Feb next year i can take my family on this walking track.
    Just one question Steve. If you guys doing it for 8 days, do you know if we actually allowed to stay two nights in one of the camp site. Not necessarily in the hut but in one of those tent platforms thingy?
    Just want to do it a bit easier as our girl will be only 9 years old by Feb 2025. We do half and full day hike all the time just haven’t been on overnight. Thank you and keep the adventures videos going. Really enjoy them . Take care

      Thanks for the great feedback. Yes you can stay multiple nights on one spot. The only thing that is 'fixed' is your start date and the fact that you have to walk north to South. Once you get going on the track you can take as long as you want to finish.

    Hi Steve, we have just enjoyed your Bluetti video. Great info as usual…. But… what has happened to the rest of the Overland Track series? Will it come to air soon?

      Yep it is on the way, Just needed to interrupt it to get the Bluetti video done and a couple of other projects but back onto it now.

    Great vid as usual, what time of the year did you walk the Overland Track, and is there a prefferred time of the year?

    • @ExpeditionAustralia
      @ExpeditionAustralia  8 месяцев назад +1

      We were there in early February. Probably the warmest time of the year.

    I have a permit for next year! And will be using the hike as a shake down trip to test new gear for my bigger hikes. I'm flying in and will be bringing packaged food. Did you have any problems bringing food into Australia ?

    • @ExpeditionAustralia
      @ExpeditionAustralia  4 месяца назад

      No I didn’t have any issues. At the airport I told them I had a bunch of packaged food and they didn’t even bother to check it.
