I think this is your best video EVER ! I used to be all about mountain biking and found that my desire to live on the edge all the time lost its novelty after awhile. PLEASE do more hiking and self-introspection videos. YOU are the most interesting part of your videos.
A blind person could have seen this coming, Im glad for you and Im grateful we got to tag along. I hope you can return to MTB as an enjoyable hobby and not such a job in the future. Your fans eagerly await the next big changes and we'll cheer you on along the way
"all i had to do was walk.... for 10 hours" lol. you're an inspiration yuka. this video really resonates with me. i'm taking a "break from everything" myself atm. got burned out from doing the things i loved too much, with too many expectations, and it wasn't fun anymore. but i feel like i'm nearing the end of the break now that i find myself doing those things in my dreams once again :)
That’s great you came out from the other side and doing what you love once again. Sometimes we need time to miss those stuff so we can remember how much we love them.
Worst thing is all the "buddies" - what I used to call folks in close proximity on bike rides or walks (hikes). I always hated having buddies, as getting away from people was one of my motivations for hikes or bike rides. Enjoy your break.
After about 18 years of Mtbing I too started to feel burnt out from Mtbing. Looking for a change I bought my first gravel bike. It was the answer I was looking for. A whole different style of riding, so much fun. Seven plus years later and I love riding my gravel bike just as much as my Mtb. So now I alternate between the 2 for variety. I admire your courage doing a 7 day hike on your own. You are an inspiration of life, keep it up.
Hi Yuka, I am sorry that you are going through a hard time. I think this is God’s way of making you rethink what is important, and to ask for help and guidance. I hope that you continue to ride. You are an inspiration, you are passionate and persistent. You will be ok. P.S., Eric needs to give you all out massage. Take care, and God bless Don
Another slightly different video -- spice for your channel. It reminded me of your trip to Japan after you got injured and your adventure "camping" in a UHaul in Canada. Thank you for taking us along to see that gorgeous scenery!
I did a wonderful 3 day hike in Washington, USA along a beach from Rialto Beach to Lake Ozette. It was truly spectacular and beautiful, but you must have a tide-table with you and be careful not to camp where the tide will come in. Sometimes you must rest on a hill because the tide comes in so there is nowhere to hike. The things I saw and the pictures I took were spectacular. I highly recommend you do it. You are completely cut off from the world for 3 days and there is no official places to camp. You are truly out in the wild and it is not maintained with stairs, toilets, rest huts. It's just nature. You will rarely see people. The sunsets over the water are amazing.
Beautiful!! Thanks for the vicarious hike, and some childhood memories. I left Tasie for Canada 50 years ago. It seems they have fixed the trail a bit in the last 50 years. People used to get lost on that trail and never be seen again. My father used to participate in search parties.
The lady at cradle mountain visited centre really wanted me to bring a satellite phone just in case. Around the Pine Valley area was not as well marked as the main track for sure. I’m glad I survived!
15:50 Yes - every backpack trip I have been on (in my youth) left some open hurt! Usually in my feet, but sometimes from some stumble and scrape. You should have asked some experienced backpacker - There is always something that begins scraping - you don't have to suffer through it - adjustments can be made, especially to a backpack. Thank you Yuka for sharing your adventures with us - TASMANIA!!! :)
This brought back some memories! Day 1 is always so busy with day hikers and then it gets quieter. Looks like all the huts were brand new. Great video Yuka
Great video. You have been through so much this year. I wish for you the comfort of your own self. You don't need us, your viewers, to be amazing. That is already in your nature.
I’ve been following you since a while now and this was by far the most touching video in a while. It put me back into my shoes when I did the short Cradle mountain round (3 day hike). Your kind of story telling and your loveliness are different from most other creators. Keep pushing for your dreams and following your passion as long as you keep being a true inspiration.
Hey you are in my home state! That's so cool! It's been a long time since I walked the Overland Track, it's changed a lot since then. Wasn't much in the way of boardwalk back then lol.
I did that same walk many years ago. In the middle of summer. It snowed half way. A girl had to be airlifted out after swimming (it was aslo very hot) in a granite hole that covered her with leeches. There was a long stretch jumping from lump of button grass to another - for hours and hours. The tree roots killed our feet and legs. The huts were in poor condition. There weren't many board walks. We had to walk through water waste deep for half a kilometer. We cheered up at Lake St.Claire.
I did the first section of this hike a number of year ago. It is a beautiful part of the world. Great video and remember just do what makes you happy and you will be happy. I feel in love with wombats on this trip. Still my favourite animal 10 years later.
Did you see the baby wombat? Sooooo cute❤️ and my patreon shared a great and cute website with me. theoatmeal.com/comics/wombats you should go check it out 😁 I loved the part “murder cheeks”
Such an amazing video, amazing scenery! Makes me want to go - right now! Thanks for taking us along. And then the best ending ever: "I put a napkin on it." - OMG 😂
Well done Yuka! Sleeping alone out in the forest after a long walk is good for keeping a clean mind. When beeing out trekking I love it when the different days blur and you no longer know exactly which day it is today. Then all worries, constraints and hardships from normal life are forgotten and only the here and now counts. Thank you for letting us be part of this!
Your videos always inspire me. Great non-bike video. Getting back into MTN biking after a 20yr break and your videos help battling my basically beginner mental blocks. Keep the videos coming and thanks!
Well done on the endurance and mental fortitude front again Yuka 😊a small but invaluable bit of advice...wear a well cushioned pair of socks when hiking...you'll be well surprised by the difference they make 👍looking forward to your next adventure 😊
Leave it to Yuka to make me, a "hiking is boring" person, want to go to the other side of the planet to hike for 7 days. Thank you for sharing, awesome trip!
So good to see you taking care of yourself Yuka and taking care of your mental health. Finding some peace in a peaceful place. I hope to see you come back full time/full speed to mountain biking, but if you don't it's okay. If you are happy, I'm happy for you.
I've only been to NZ, and hiking there is nice. You don't have to worry about bears or mountain lions or other big animals that can mess you up, so you could hike by yourself unlike here in Canada.
Congrats! I did the Overland Track 37 years ago, it's a real adventure and physical and logistical challenge. Beautiful part of the world. The huts and facilities look much improved now.
Thank you for sharing your adventure. I've noticed that hiking really makes me appreciate my mountain bike :). My best/worst hiking trip was a day trip hiking Castle mountain. I thought mountain biking would prepare me for hiking, but it did not.
Glad you did that trail and checked it off your list Yuka!!! Such a great trial and your video bring back many memories of walking that trail!!! Thanks for a great video
Looked like a good time! I think that voice inside us that we like to battle with to get through something is what keeps people like us doing the sports we love.
Yuka great video, next should be 3Capes S/E Tasmania. 48 klms senstational coastal scenery. Only problem no tenting, however plenty of space, accommodation very good. Plenty of videos on RUclips. Thankyou.😊
Wow! What a wonderful adventure and escape! My favorite parts would be when the people thinned out....all that pain got you to peace. And I never knew Wombat poop was square!
Wow that was a great video Yuka! You really are an adventurer going all the way to Tasmania to do something on your list. It looks so peaceful and relaxing there and you didn't do anything in wild boar mode! Thanks for sharing your adventure.
Your writing skills are not poor at all, you have nice handwriting. And writing the to-do in past tense is a clever idea; I might start doing that in my bullet journal. I love hiking but I've only hiked in the US. This looks so amazing. Holy crumbs those huts are swank, haha. I don't think we have much like that here, and it is certainly not like the shelters on the AT.
So refreshing to see another mountain biker enjoy hiking/backpacking. My wife and I do just that as well. You should consider some trail runners...like Altra Olympus 5 or Topo Ultraventure 3. Your feet will thank you 😊.
I think this is your best video EVER ! I used to be all about mountain biking and found that my desire to live on the edge all the time lost its novelty after awhile. PLEASE do more hiking and self-introspection videos. YOU are the most interesting part of your videos.
Thank you for your kind comment ✨ I’d love to do more of those adventures in the future 😁
"normally people go in to the hut and socialize but I just stay outside and enjoy nature" love it Yuka 🥂
A blind person could have seen this coming, Im glad for you and Im grateful we got to tag along. I hope you can return to MTB as an enjoyable hobby and not such a job in the future. Your fans eagerly await the next big changes and we'll cheer you on along the way
Youre an amazing person Yuka, Thank you for bringing us along with you.
You’re*
@@thelittleewokboss9929 Lol
Eric should wake up evey day and thank you for being in his life. Great video as always

@@VanGirlYuka you should come to Western Australia it is amazing plus we have lungs longer bike park
Yes Yuka! You found a new challenge.
I think most of us mountain bikers enjoy the solitude... even when biking trails with friends you're still mostly alone. Love your videos Yuka!
Worst thing is all the "buddies" - what I used to call folks in close proximity on bike rides or walks (hikes). I always hated having buddies, as getting away from people was one of my motivations for hikes or bike rides. Enjoy your break.

I’m doing a huge bikepacking in Tasmania right now and it’s a completely different riding. My whole world changed✨
Hi Yuka,

Whoa, can see why, definitely more modern now.
So true. People still go missing and die on that track these days. It's a serious hike.
The lady at cradle mountain visited centre really wanted me to bring a satellite phone just in case. Around the Pine Valley area was not as well marked as the main track for sure. I’m glad I survived!
Amazing Yuma!! Congratulations

Such a good video Yuka-pei ❤
You should’ve done it too 😁
Laughed so hard with the square poop, hilarious! Great adventure, crazy beautiful there!
This brought back some memories! Day 1 is always so busy with day hikers and then it gets quieter. Looks like all the huts were brand new. Great video Yuka
god bless ! you are amazing!
Fantastic video and glad you finally got to do it and tick it off your list. Breathtaking scenery
You are strong lady, always will be. Take it easy enjoy.
Great video. You have been through so much this year. I wish for you the comfort of your own self. You don't need us, your viewers, to be amazing. That is already in your nature.
Nice to run into yesterday. Hope you enjoyed the riding here in Hobart.

Brilliant! Loved the square poop bit 😂🙏🏼
Enjoy tasmania. You are always welcome
You two are too much fun. Come back to Bellingham and ride again this summer! Cheers!
I have done the overland with my family and loved it hope you have a good break and enjoy ur stay in aussie!

That is such a beautiful part of Australia - I was there in 2021. So glad you could experience it.
Such an amazing video, amazing scenery! Makes me want to go - right now! Thanks for taking us along. And then the best ending ever: "I put a napkin on it." - OMG 😂
Yuka you are my inspiration your so awesome I love your spirit and sense of humour you rock girl and I wish you all the best ❤❤❤❤❤
One of the best Yuka videos ever!

Beautiful video....very inspirational 👏🏼
This was the first hiking video I've ever watched. Great edit! I enjoyed it.
I’m glad you enjoyed it 😁👍
I was there in Jan 2022 and made it to Marion’s lookout. It’s an amazing view.
That was a crazy trek. Good for you for making it through. It’s tough to hike with a lot of weight in your pack.
Thanks for taking us along 👍🏻
Congratulations on ticking this one off your bucket list!! Great video!
Great vid Yuka ! 😎
君の人生の歩き方は僕らにとって良い刺激になっていて感謝です。
今回もいろいろ見せてくれてありがとうございます。
観ていて、ゆかちゃんが満足げな顔になったから良かったと思う。

あのシャワーは最高でした✨
Lovely of you to share the journey with us especially if you were feeling exhausted.
thanks for coming to tassie!
That "Oh my God" from Eric at the end said it all 🤣.
You are amazing, Yuka. Thanks for taking us on such an awesome journey. Greeting from Singapore.
What an amazing trip! The views and time to recharge your social battery must have been amazing! Great job Yuka!
Your videos always inspire me. Great non-bike video. Getting back into MTN biking after a 20yr break and your videos help battling my basically beginner mental blocks. Keep the videos coming and thanks!

Awesome video👍👍👍 kep it up yuka😀
what an amazing and beautiful adventure, as always a wonderful story telling and imagery, thank you for sharing .
Well done Yuka! You’re an inspiration. I’ve missed you.
That hike looks so epic. Thanks for taking us on the adventure.
Great vid! I watched every video you produced for some years now. Good job with your hike!
Beautiful scenery and shots! Glad you're doing well! We all need to disconnect at times.
You are an inspiration Yuka! Hope you loved our beautiful Tasmanian. Such a beautiful place 🙏
Yuka, you are the best.
That looked great. It was fantastic seeing you in Tassie, and wonderful that you made to the SOHO Enduro!
What a powerhouse you are Yuka. Much respect. Thanks for taking us along with you.
"i had fun. every step had a pain". what an absolute maniac
I've only been to NZ, and hiking there is nice. You don't have to worry about bears or mountain lions or other big animals that can mess you up, so you could hike by yourself unlike here in Canada.
I feel the same! Though Australia still has snakes that will kill us…NZ is the safest!
Oh my. One tough cookie Yuka. This old Marine would welcome you to be part our outfit anytime. You qualify.😉😎
Yuka-san, I'm so proud of you!
Congrats! I did the Overland Track 37 years ago, it's a real adventure and physical and logistical challenge. Beautiful part of the world. The huts and facilities look much improved now.
I thought of sleeping in it because they were so clean and beautiful✨
GO YUKA!!! Cheering for you!

What a beautiful adventure
This was a very relaxing watch, thank you so much Yuka.
Hope u enjoy it
When you get back to the bike you should come up to Townsville, we have some pretty good trails.
Looked like a good time! I think that voice inside us that we like to battle with to get through something is what keeps people like us doing the sports we love.
We need pain (like climbing up mountains) to enjoy the sport more…
I really enjoy yuka's bike videos, but I LOVE this backpacking ones. Thank you Yuka :)
Good luck on your journey
Thanks for taking us on such an awesome journey. All the pain seemed so worth it. 💪🏽
greatly admire Yuka
Congratulations, one more item checked on your bucket list.
Most importantly, you are staying true to yourself❣️ Great Job🥰
Just a great video! Made me 😂 made me 🥹 whatever you feel like making a video about, I’ll watch! 👍😄 Thanks!
Great video. Great effort. Well done Yuka.
Yuka great video, next should be 3Capes S/E Tasmania. 48 klms senstational coastal scenery. Only problem no tenting, however plenty of space, accommodation very good. Plenty of videos on RUclips. Thankyou.😊

So good to see you in my neck of the woods. Great video. You are very tough to take this on your own
Wow! What a wonderful adventure and escape! My favorite parts would be when the people thinned out....all that pain got you to peace. And I never knew Wombat poop was square!
Funny endearing creature ❤️

I absolutely LOST it when you said "I want to see their ..... a**hole"!! 🤣🤣 Amazing video Yuka enjoy your break and come back strong and hard!
Everyone should be curious about their bottoms 😋
So refreshing to see another mountain biker enjoy hiking/backpacking. My wife and I do just that as well. You should consider some trail runners...like Altra Olympus 5 or Topo Ultraventure 3. Your feet will thank you 😊.
Other guy on the trail was saying the same thing! I should try hiking with trail runners✨
Such an epic hike. I've been there and it's wonderful. I hope you cleared your mind ☺
Great video!
Also... I take a break: get over here sofa
Yuka takes a break: I'm going an an 82Km, 2400m expedition
Impressive
