    Wow! 🤩This video just gave me some motivation. I am MLS in Ghana currently learning Data Science. I hoping to write ASCP also and hopefully start my masters in Bioinformatics also.
    Thanks for sharing this video ❤️🔥

      Wow! We have similar paths. Good luck on your journey! Do you mind if I ask what your plans are after you finish your masters?

    I’ve watched so many of your videos over the years and recently made the big decision to leave my full time job as an MLS to pursue a Masters degree in Data Science. I was so shocked to see you programming too! Are you doing it just for fun on the side or do you think you’ll leave the lab to pursue data science/comp sci full time?

      That’s exciting! Good luck! I like programming when I get to apply it to life science and health data. I’m starting grad school in spring for a masters in microbiology/bioinformatics to see what opportunities that can bring - maybe research or government type of work.

    Hi Dominique, in your education, did you use the book by Mary Louise Turgeon called Clinical Laboratory Science Concepts, Procedures, and Clinical Applications?

    • @domilarae
      @domilarae  11 месяцев назад +1

      I used it in my intro to mls class as a supplemental resource. I found it helpful for an overview to explain medical lab science

      @@domilarae Thank you. If you can recommend any other books you were required to read during your education , please do. I'm not currently on a program, but I'm reading in advance (which is a better use of my time than scrolling Instagram at night).

      @fgzy123 I think that the Turgeon book should be sufficient to get a head start. Maybe the MLS Review Cards by Polansky as well.

    Just curious are there any work from home opportunities as a medical lab tech? And do you think as a medical lab tech that AI can replace our jobs? I want to make sure that if I go back to school that I will always have a job no matter what and that the field would still be in demand of workers

      As far as I know, there are some opportunities with the manufacturing companies for tech support if you are interested in working from home. I do not think AI will replace workers.
