Over the past week, the enemy has significantly increased pressure on the Ukrainian Defense Forces in the Chasiv Yar area. In particular, the occupiers blew up the pipes of the Seversky Donets-Donbass canal in order to widen the passages, which will allow them to swiftly and boldly attack the positions of our troops on motorcycles, and perhaps even on armored vehicles. In addition, in the north of the city, the Russians are actually moving into the rear of our units, which are defending themselves in the western-central part of the settlement. The enemy is also moving towards Stupochki along the road, actively using motorcycles. The occupiers consider Stupochki as a hub for further movement to Konstantinovka. Journalist and military observer Vasily Pekhnyo spoke about this.
"All these actions of the enemy indicate one thing: a general battle for Chasiv Yar is approaching, " the analyst said. " I do not rule out that during this battle we will have to retreat and try to make this city a gray, or better yet, black zone for the Russians." Then Pekhnyo added that the enemy in this section of the front is very strong, well trained, so serious battles will unfold here in the near future. The occupiers will try to demonstrate "flag-strikes" in Chasovy Yar as soon as possible with the aim of informational and psychological pressure on our society. The same situation is observed in Toretsk - the city is on the threshold of a general battle, the expert noted.
Heavy fighting with Russian troops continues in the urban areas of Chasiv Yar and Toretsk, Donetsk region. This was reported on Telegram by the Khortytsia Grouping of Troops.
With the support of artillery, the Russians continue to storm positions in the Kramatorsk and Toretsk directions. Heavy fighting continues in the urban areas of Chasiv Yar and Toretsk. "Wagnerites" are reportedly fighting as part of "Akhmat" units or the Sabotage and Assault Reconnaissance Group "Rusych." Additionally, Russia's 98th Airborne Division is involved in the battles for Chasiv Yar.
In Chasiv Yar, where enemy assault operations occur daily, former Wagner mercenaries are fighting within several units. Andriy Polukhin, Spokesman for the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo, shared this information during the national telethon on January 26.
According to him, Russian soldiers who previously served in the Wagner PMC are now integrated into the Akhmat Rapid Response Special Unit, the Rusich Sabotage and Assault Reconnaissance Group "Rusych" and Russia's 98th Airborne Division. According to Polukhin, experienced Russian soldiers are fighting at Chasiv Yar.
"They have undergone intensive training and are prepared for combat in both urban and open-field environments," Polukhin said.
He added that the situation in Chasiv Yar is currently extremely tough, as Russian forces conduct daily assaults on Ukrainian positions, employing small-group offensive tactics.

It's important to note that Russia has often cited NATO's potential expansion as a justification for its actions in Ukraine, but this argument doesn't hold up against the principles of sovereignty and self-determination that is inherent in NATO doctrine. NATO's open-door policy allows any European country that meets its standards and principles to apply for membership. This policy is based on the idea that sovereign nations have the right to choose their own security arrangements. This doctrine is in contrast to Russian doctrine that supports the use of threats and force to gain territory from other sovereign nations throughout its history.
Clearly presenting the flaws in Putin's justifications for his military operation in Ukraine is essential to countering the narrative Putin is trying to project. By systematically addressing and refuting each of his arguments, the international community can highlight the unjust and illegal nature of Russia's actions in Ukraine.
Here's a breakdown of key points to focus on:
SOVEREIGNTY and SELF-DETERMINATION:
Emphasize Ukraine's right to make its own choices as an independent, sovereign nation. Russia's aggression violates these fundamental principles.
NATO Expansion:
Clarify that NATO's open-door policy allows countries to apply for membership voluntarily. There is no coercion or forced expansion as is inherent in Russia's doctrine of expansionism with force.
Ukraine's desire to join NATO is based on its own security interests, not a NATO-driven agenda.
THE MINSK AGREEMENTS:
Highlight that the Minsk agreements are focused on conflict resolution in Eastern Ukraine and do not prohibit NATO membership. Russia's use of these agreements to justify its actions is a misrepresentation.
HISTORICAL CONTEXT:
Remind the world that Crimea's annexation in 2014 was widely condemned and not recognized by the international community. Ukraine's territorial integrity includes Crimea.
HUMANITARIAN IMPACT
Share the devastating humanitarian consequences of Russia's invasion, including civilian casualties, displacement, and destruction. This underscores the urgency of supporting Ukraine.
COMMUNICATION STRATEGY: Global Media Outreach:
Utilize news networks, social media platforms, and international publications to disseminate these points widely.
Unified Statements:
Coordinate with NATO members, EU leaders, and other allies to issue joint statements that clearly outline the illegitimacy of Putin's claims.
PUBLIC ADVOCACY:
Engage with influential figures, activists, and organizations to amplify the message and keep public attention focused on the issue.
VERY ASSENTIAL:
By maintaining a consistent and united front, the international community can effectively challenge and disprove Putin's narrative, strengthening support for Ukraine's sovereignty and independence.
Too much common sense… everything you say is correct but the Russian decision makers simply do not care…
Russia applied for NATO in 2000's when Putin was in power but they rejected you can tell that this organisation is made against Russia so they negotiated that no nation in the Russian should join NATO but Finland, and all the Baltics nations did and Ukraine was the last red line
Writing a long dissertation only to omit the fact of NATO expansion. As an American who saw the fall of Berlin Wall, the fall of the Soviet Union, west expansion into Eastern Europe to include Ukraine, I say stop lying. Russian actions to protect its borders are warranted no questions asked. Ukrainian corruption and EU and NATO ambitions posed a threat to Russia as they saw what happened in 2014. How is the west to be trusted.

Did they prepare for all the caskets they will need?
Not gonna lie the anti infantry drone footage is haunting. It’s scary to think we might all be drone highlight reels one day.
Makes me glad i'm no longer in combat.
Você está assistindo o desfile pro moedor de carne.
Mas carne fresca que manda Putin para hacer hamburguesa.
Final assault? To get what? More casualties?
Should Russia end war and negotiate peace with Ukraine instead of continuing the war!
It’s the other way around Fried’s son.
